Chapter 29: There is only heroism in all corners of the world

May 11, 1978.

"Guangming Daily" published an article by its special commentator, "Practice is the only criterion for testing truth," which triggered a big discussion about the criterion of truth.

Every class has political study sessions, and the English class is no exception.

However, the main purpose of the meeting was to study the editorial spirit of the People's Daily, and select a classmate to read the newspaper for everyone and read an extremely boring long editorial. This newspaper reader is usually the Communist Youth League secretary, but there are exceptions. The other students analyze, study, and study each article one by one.

It’s called a political study meeting.

The students are very enthusiastic and proactive, and keep up with the pace of the party politically.

Lin Xiaoguang did not hear anyone talk about the editorial on practice at the study meeting. He only realized that something big had happened when he heard his classmates discussing it at noon.

"The standard for testing truth can only be social practice. The unity of theory and practice is one of the most basic principles of Marxism. Any theory must be constantly tested by practice. This is so right." Liang Zhendao was excited and said many things.

He patted the dining table.

"Why are you so excited? The reason why theory is theory is that it is out of touch with reality to a certain extent. How can we practice it?" Chen Yiming was unhappy.

"Shengli, tell me, is this correct?" Liang Zhendao pulled Qian Shengli into the battle group.

"Old Taoist, Old Chen, I don't understand this theory of practice and the concept of truth. I really don't understand, so don't make things difficult for me." Qian Shengli scratched his head and ears in distress.

"Xiaoguang, tell me then!" Liang Zhendao looked at him again.

Lin Xiaoguang was stunned. Practice is the only criterion for testing truth. Does this still need to be discussed? It is obvious and proven by time. A big discussion affecting the whole country is about to begin. In these extraordinary times, as a small person in a big era

, or stay away from politics.

"Stay away from politics, stay away from politics, stay away from politics. Say important things three times."

He was silent, without saying a word, looking down at the food in the lunch box, motionless.

"Xiaoguang, what's wrong? Are you talking?"

"I'm sorry, I suddenly remembered something, so I have to leave first." Lin Xiaoguang slapped his forehead, suddenly realized, smiled at the three of them, then turned around and went out with the lunch box in his hand, his expression in a hurry.

"Hide in the small building and become one, and take care of spring, summer, autumn and winter."

The three of them looked at him, speechless.

Since Guangming Daily published its editorial that day, the discussion has intensified. Even the political study meeting in the class has completely turned into a seminar on practicing the editorial, and Lin Xiaoguang cannot hide away.

Finally one day, after class, Teacher Fu stopped him.

"Lin Xiaoguang, come out for a moment."

He has been getting closer to Teacher Fu recently, but he has not attracted too much attention from his classmates. Firstly, he is the best brother in the class in learning English. Secondly, he is young and others will not associate him with that aspect.

Just think of it as a good teacher-student relationship.

After Lin Xiaoguang went out, he followed Teacher Fu: "Teacher, what can I do?"

"I really have something to do. I'll take you to eat Peking Roast Duck. It's been so long since school started, and you've been clamoring that I won't treat you to it. I'm going to invite you today, so let's eat it boldly." Teacher Fu smiled brightly and looked him up and down.

, very happy.

Lin Xiaoguang was so frightened by what she saw that he thought his thoughts were being read, but he didn't expect that to be the case.

"I'm having a treat, can I bring someone with me?" he joked.

"Of course you can. Anyway, if someone pays for it, it doesn't matter to him. It's all my business." Teacher Fu smiled even more.

Lin Xiaoguang was a little surprised, but since he said it, he couldn't go back on his words. Besides, he still owed his cousin a Peking roast duck. At that moment, he said with a playful smile: "Okay, I'll call my cousin."

Teacher Fu knew that he had a cousin, and he also knew that he had a cousin. He also knew that their family was from northern Qing Dynasty, but they had just heard about it, and this was the first time they met.

When Lin Xiaoguang found Yang Lan, she was queuing up for a meal in the canteen. Fortunately, she hadn't done so yet, so he pulled her out directly.

After the two met and greeted each other, the three of them got on the bus together.

Under the leadership of Mr. Fu, the three of them arrived at Quanjude in Wangfujing. Of course, it was not called Quanjude these days, only Peking Roast Duck. It was not until the Company Law was officially promulgated and came into effect in 1993 that Quanjude Group Company was registered and established.

The three of them entered the store, and Teacher Fu walked directly in front of one person before taking a seat.

"Nuo, Zhong Wenzhang, I brought you the person you were looking for."

Then he pointed at Lin Xiaoguang and introduced: "This is my student, Lin Xiaoguang, the author of "Heroes", Chang'an Jun. This is his cousin, Yang Lan, who studies at Peking University next door to Tsinghua University. How about it? Are you surprised?

?”

Zhong Wenzhang looked astonished. She had heard her say that the author was very young before, but she really didn't expect him to be so young, with such a tender face, and such a short height. He was probably only fifteen or sixteen years old. He was certainly not an ordinary person who could be admitted to Tsinghua University.

"Hello, I am Zhong Wenzhang, a reporter from the Hong Kong Commercial Daily, from Guangdong." He did not dare to ask for help, so he spoke proactively as if he were treating his peers.

"Reporter Zhong, hello." Lin Xiaoguang's mind was racing, and he vaguely guessed his purpose.

"I said, you two, can we talk later and serve the food first? Is it okay for us two ladies to just sit here?" Teacher Fu glared at the two of them.

"Qingtong, please wait a moment and order your food first. It will be served soon." Zhong Wenzhang smiled helplessly.

When Lin Xiaoguang heard this title, he couldn't help but squint his eyes. Seeing that they looked familiar, they seemed to have a strong relationship.

Peiping Roast Duck is a well-known time-honored brand in the country. The items in the store are quite expensive. A roast duck costs eight to ten yuan, and other dishes cost one or two yuan. Mr. Fu was not polite and ordered two roast ducks and a white-cut chicken.

, a plate of twice-cooked pork, a plate of stir-fried pork, and two vegetarian dishes and a soup before finishing the order.

While waiting for the food to be served, Zhong Wenzhang and Lin Xiaoguang started chatting.

For Lin Xiaoguang, a sixteen-year-old student, to write a martial arts novel like "Heroes", he did not have the slightest doubt that it was impossible, because these days, there are only a handful of people in mainland China who have access to the new martial arts novels from Hong Kong and Taiwan.

They can't even touch it, let alone create it.

But the possibility is extremely low.

If he didn't write it himself, he would either be a ghostwriter, or he would take someone else's manuscript as his own. For the same reason, there are only a handful of people in mainland China who have access to the new martial arts schools in Hong Kong and Taiwan, so the suspicion is not established.

So what is the reason why a 16-year-old mainland student can write the new martial arts genre of Hong Kong and Taiwan? It is so ridiculous.

Zhong Wenzhang was very curious about this. During the chat, he tried many things: "Mr. Lin has read a lot of martial arts novels, right?"

"Of course." Lin Xiaoguang winked at Yang Lan, signaling her to calm down, and then talked with reporters: "Hong Kong and Taiwan have Jin Guliang Wen, plus the Three Musketeers, Sima Ling, Wo Longsheng, Zhuge Qingyun, these everyone's I’ve seen almost all the works.”

As soon as these words came out, Zhong Wenzhang no longer had any doubts. He was just a Hong Kong martial arts writer. People in Taiwan also knew about it. It seemed that he was indeed an insider.

"It's just that I don't know where you saw it?" He was still a little curious, but didn't ask further and just continued chatting.

We talked about Guo Jing, a great hero who served the country and the people, Lu Xiaofeng with four eyebrows, the white-haired witch practicing neon clothes, and the four famous capturers meeting the capital. As we chatted, the topic gradually deviated from astronomy, geography, history and military, and we talked casually. We chatted until it got dark and had to end.

The two chatted happily, and even seemed to regret meeting each other so late.

Finally, Zhong Wenzhang took out an envelope: "Brother Chang'an, this is the manuscript fee, 1,800 yuan, please keep it."
