For some reason, Buddha felt an indescribable peace of mind when he set foot here again, as if he had never experienced danger before.
"Um?"
Realizing that something was wrong, Buddha suddenly became alert and looked around.
Xuantang, who was following the Buddha, saw this and asked quickly: "What is the World Honored One looking at? But do you need a disciple to investigate?"
The Buddha, who failed to detect any abnormality, couldn't help but feel a little upset, and scolded: "Shut up, shut up, I am doing my own thing, why do you need to comment?"
Xuantang was stunned when he heard this, his face was a bit confused, but he didn't dare to say anything, he just lowered his head and frowned, remaining silent.
As soon as the Buddha said these words, he felt a trace of regret in his heart. Xuantang was his only remaining disciple of the Heavenly Realm. If he wanted to rebuild Buddhism later, he would still have to rely on him to work in many ways.
Now scolding him for no reason, even trampling on his dignity, can easily make him alienated from his moral character. This is not the move of a wise man.
However, for a person like Buddha, even if he knew he was wrong, he would never admit his mistake. He just softened his tone slightly and said, "Go around for a while and return to the main hall within half a quarter of an hour. I will be waiting for you in the main hall."
In Buddha's opinion, following Xuantang's wishes and letting him explore the surroundings was a great gift, which could offset the impact of the original scolding for no reason.
If Xuantang doesn't understand the current affairs, the worst thing he can do is abandon him and spend some time cultivating a few more heavenly beings. He won't be constrained in doing anything just because he lacks a heavenly being disciple.
Xuantang's eyes showed a hint of joy and he said loudly: "Disciple, I obey."
Seeing this, the Buddha smiled slightly and was very satisfied. Jin Chanzi worshiped him for two lifetimes, how could he not understand this?
After Xuantang left, Buddha walked into the main hall and looked at the clay sculptures enshrined in front of him. He couldn't help but be filled with doubts. Where did the feeling of uneasiness come from? Where did the feeling of peace of mind come from?
Could it be that the change in front-to-back induction is so great because of Jin Chanzi?
But Jin Chanzi was only in the second realm of heaven, and could not even compare to the realm of saint with one finger. He felt that it was extremely dangerous. How could he change the situation?
I didn't feel it at first, but after calming down and thinking for a while, the Buddha seemed to clear the clouds and see the sun, and came to a conclusion: Jin Chanzi had a problem.
Before he was sealed, there were still two heavenly beings in Buddhism, Maitreya Ksitigarbha, who were in the third realm, Manjusri and Samantabhadra and other heavenly beings who were in the second realm, and the Buddhas of the Four Directions and other heavenly beings who were in the first realm.
Although the strength of the Buddhist sect is not as strong as before, it is not too weak. At least if the saint realm does not take action, the Buddhist sect will never be in danger of being destroyed.
In fact, the Taoist Palace of the Four Saints did not kill all the Buddhists, but the Buddhists lost all the powerful people in the realm of gods and humans, leaving only Jin Chanzi alone. There are too many doubts in this.
In particular, Maitreya Ksitigarbha, who was more powerful than Jin Chanzi, has fallen. How come Jin Chanzi has survived intact to this day?
Did Jin Chanzi suddenly have an epiphany and his cultivation level greatly increased, becoming even more powerful than Maitreya Ksitigarbha?
Or did he seek refuge with a certain party, and under the protection of a certain party, he was able to escape unscathed?
The Buddha vaguely guessed that the latter possibility was more likely. After all, Jin Chanzi was only in the second realm of heaven and human, and the danger that could cause the fall of the third realm of heaven and human was definitely not something that a second realm of heaven and human could avoid.
.
Even the unexpected encounter between Jin Chanzi and himself was not accidental. It was most likely that he was ordered by the mastermind behind the scenes to deliberately approach himself and secretly inquire about the information?
Thinking of this, the Buddha secretly made up his mind: When Jin Chanzi comes back, he must interrogate him, lest he capsize in the gutter.
Perhaps the Buddha was still thinking about it, so in less than a quarter of an hour, Xuantang returned early, stood in front of the Buddha, knelt down and worshiped: "Reporting to the Lord, my disciples searched a radius of 500 miles and found no trace of anything."
abnormal."
Buddha looked coldly, looked down at Xuantang, and said in a cold tone: "Really? Did you miss something?"
When Xuantang heard this, he raised his head and showed a hint of surprise: "Disciple, I wonder where the World Honored One is referring to?"
The Buddha suddenly smiled, and in the hall, the phantoms of lotuses appeared, bloomed, and disappeared.
"Aren't you an anomaly? Jin Chanzi, all Buddhist heavens and humans have fallen, leaving you alone in the world. Don't you have anything to say to me?"
Hearing this, Xuantang showed pain on his face, grabbed the ground with his head, and shouted in a hissing voice: "World Honored One, Maitreya Ksitigarbha and many other Buddhas were harmed by traitors. World Honored One must avenge them."
When the Buddha saw this, he couldn't help but frown and said in a cold voice: "Speak carefully, I would like to ask you, how did Maitreya Ksitigarbha and the others fall?"
Xuantang suddenly had a look of fear on his face, trembling all over, and hesitantly said: "The World Honored One is injured. I'm afraid he is no match for that person, so I don't dare to say anything."
Buddha's face changed when he heard this, and he asked urgently: "How did you know that I was injured? Did that person tell you? I was injured not by that person's opponent, but by that person's guess?"
The Buddha asked three questions in succession, with a look of ridicule on his face: "Except for the Taoist Saint, there is probably no other person in the world who is no match for me after being injured."
"The Taoist Saint's cultivation is unfathomable and far surpasses mine. If he wants to kill me, he doesn't need to use these vain methods. But if others want to kill me, it is almost impossible. You
There is no need to worry, so you are lying."
After the Buddha finished speaking, Xuantang's shaking stopped suddenly. He looked up at the Buddha with a strange smile on his face: "So the World Honored One is indeed injured, right?"
Seeing Xuantang's strange behavior, Buddha's heart suddenly froze. He suddenly had a bad premonition, and when he reacted, he felt very ashamed. He, a majestic saint and the leader of the Buddhist sect, was actually frightened by his disciples. It was really embarrassing.
The Buddha became angry and said, "What does this matter about me have to do with you? Jin Chanzi, if you don't tell the truth today, I will make you sink into hell, and you will not be able to be reborn for a hundred lifetimes."
Xuantang laughed heartily, climbed up from the ground, and looked at Buddha's level, not taking the Buddha's threat to heart at all.
Xuantang said extremely arrogantly: "Of course it does matter. Only when the World Honored One is severely injured and unable to exert even one percent of his strength, will the disciples be able to go one step further and replace the World Honored One, and then step into the realm of saints to compete for the opportunity to transcend."
The Buddha's face was extremely ugly, and he said with disdain: "You, a mere waste who is not even in the third realm of heaven and human, dare to claim to replace me? You are not overestimating your ability."
After saying that, while Xuantang was dazed, a huge hand covering the sky came from all over the place, intending to crush Xuantang into pieces.
Xuantang chuckled: "Not even the third realm of heaven and humans?"
After saying that, he immediately stood up three feet, his aura suddenly burst out, and he was completely exposed to the aura of the peak of the third realm of heaven and human beings.
Xuantang then took a step forward, raised his hands to the sky, and blocked Buddha's move.
"World Honored One is as arrogant as ever. Because of your arrogance and ignorance, you are repeatedly defeated by the Taoist Sage."
"Open your eyes and take a look. Don't you even have the third realm of heaven and human beings?"
Buddha's surprise attack was blocked, and he was ridiculed by Xuantang. His face showed neither sadness nor joy. He stepped forward again and aimed a punch at Xuantang's head.
Xuantang stepped back three miles to avoid the hidden murderous intention, and continued to mock from a distance: "The World Honored One can't even take down his disciples. It's funny, ridiculous."
Buddha, who failed to capture Xuantang twice in a row, finally had a slight change in his face, but it was not because of fear, but because he wanted to kill him with one blow.
In an instant, a Buddhist kingdom quietly descended, covering a five-mile radius including the Lotus Temple.
