Eight hundred and twentieth nine chapters Holy Advent

Outside Chang'an City, high in the sky.

The three sages of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism sit in the clouds, and the gods and humans of the three religions stand in front of them.

The Taoist Saint said expressionlessly: "Where is Lin Ze?"

Lin Ze, who was hiding behind Zhuang Zhou, heard the Dao Sage's call and quickly stepped forward, bowed and replied: "The disciple is here."

Taoist Sage: "I heard that because of your own selfish interests, you did not listen to the advice of your allies, ignored the overall situation of conquering Qin, acted perfunctorily, and passively sabotaged your work, resulting in a slow progress in conquering Qin. Is this true?"

Lin Ze replied in an extremely affirmative tone: "Report to the teacher that this is absolutely not the case."

Lin Ze first expressed his attitude, and then said angrily: "I dare to ask the teacher, I don't know who is secretly slandering the disciple, the disciple is willing to confront him. If the disciple is as he said, the disciple is willing to accept the punishment. If someone deliberately slanders the disciple, the disciple sincerely asks

The teacher upholds justice."

Dao Sheng coughed slightly and said: "We will talk about the confrontation later. I want to ask you, someone said that after you arrived in Chang'an, you stayed put for several days. Is this possible?"

Lin Ze hesitated for a moment and replied honestly: "It is true."

Dao Sheng's tone was slightly cold: "Why?"

Lin Ze looked as usual and replied: "Reporting to the teacher, the city of Chang'an is so strong that it cannot be captured by the disciple alone. The disciple wants to join forces with the two allies of Buddhism and Confucianism to attack the city together."

"The reason why we stood still was because the disciples learned that the Buddhist-Confucian army arrived before the disciples and stayed outside Chang'an for several days. They thought that the Buddhist-Confucian army had other plans and did not dare to act rashly."

"The disciples have been waiting for several days, but the Buddhist Confucianists have not contacted the disciples. After asking Brother Zhuang Zhou, they found out that Emperor Qin's destiny has not been lost. The Buddhist Confucianists were worried, so they stopped moving forward."

"Until yesterday, Senior Brother Zhuang Zhou told his disciples that the teacher and the Buddhist and Confucian saints were coming to Chang'an in person. The disciples thought that things would make progress and waited for the teacher's arrival with peace of mind."

The Taoist sage could not deny it and continued to ask: "Why is it a few days later to arrive in Chang'an than the Buddhist Confucians?"

Lin Ze replied with a matter-of-fact expression: "The disciple is cautious by nature and is better at advancing steadily. Compared with the Confucian spirit, the bold advance is slower, but the disciple also leads the army to attack the city and plunder the territory every day, without any perfunctory behavior."

"Teacher just sends people to check the disciple's itinerary. If there is any deliberate delay, the disciple will be willing to admit his mistake."

Lin Ze is not stupid. Even if he is passive and sabotages his work, he will find ways to do it without revealing anything.

Some things need to be done and should not be too ugly when put on the table.

Lin Ze glanced at the Confucians, and a sneer flashed across his lips: "As far as the disciples know, the Confucian army marches very fast, but after several battles, nearly 70% of its troops were lost, and only about 50,000 of the 150,000 troops were left.

I wonder how much energy you have left to attack Chang'an?"

"My disciple's march was a bit slow, but an army of 150,000 went out and fought all the way to Chang'an City. Not only did it not suffer any losses, but it actually led to the surrender of tens of thousands of Qin troops. I don't think I need to elaborate on who is right or wrong."

"If I had known that the attack on Qin was just for the sake of temporary motivation and did not pay attention to the final result, why would my disciples fight so slowly that they would be slandered by others."

When the Confucians heard this, their expressions suddenly changed. If they had not been worried about the presence of the Three Saints, they would have had a fit.

"Be careful," Tao Sheng shouted, and continued: "My teacher asked you, how can you explain that you spent a lot of energy to resettle officials and took the captured counties as your own?"

Lin Ze smiled brightly and said: "Teacher Mingjian, this is the embodiment of the disciple's wholehearted devotion to the great cause of conquering Qin."

"As we all know, the biggest concern of the three religions is that Emperor Qin, who has a destiny of destiny, fights rashly, and is prone to backlash from heaven."

"Destiny is the ultimate expression of luck, and the root is luck. The Qin Emperor's luck basically comes from the ordinary people of the Qin State. The disciples have worked hard to turn the people of the Qin State into the people of the Western Qin State. The ultimate goal is to deal with the Emperor of Qin

ah?"

After saying this, Lin Ze let out a long sigh: "This disciple has never thought that, even though he only cares about the overall situation, why would someone still frame him? God's way is unfair."

When the Taoist Saint looked over at him with evil eyes, Lin Ze quickly shut up, looked solemn, and pretended to be an honest person.

The Taoist Saint's expression softened slightly, he turned his head and looked around, and asked, "What do you two think?"

The Buddha clasped his hands together and pronounced the Buddha's name: "Amitabha, the little benefactor Lin Ze did not do anything wrong. It was a Buddhist disciple who violated the precept of anger. After this incident, the poor monk will definitely give him an explanation."

The Confucian sage smiled and said: "Master Li is brave and resourceful, and can be a teacher for others. Instead of learning from the best, some Confucian disciples are jealous. They should be severely punished."

When Lin Ze heard this, he knew that this stage was over.

Of course, Lin Ze had already expected that as long as he was still a disciple of Dao Sage, as long as he still represented the interests of Dao Palace, and as long as Dao Sage was still alive, nothing would happen.

The Taoist Saint said calmly: "This matter has come to an end. There is no need to mention it again. Next, we will talk about the attack on Chang'an. How should the three religions cooperate together?"

The Confucian sage smiled and said: "I think Master Li is very good at military affairs. Why don't you listen to his opinions?"

The Buddha also smiled and said: "The poor monk seconded the suggestion."

Lin Ze sneered in his heart, he just lost a game, are you targeting me?

The Taoist sage didn't seem to notice anything wrong, and asked accordingly: "Lin Ze, it's rare for the Confucian sage and Buddha to praise you so much. Do you have any good strategies?"

Lin Ze bowed and said with a hesitant look on his face: "Reply to the teacher, the disciple dare not say anything."

Dao Sheng frowned slightly: "Why don't you dare to say it?"

Lin Ze hesitated for a moment and said hesitantly: "If the disciple's strategy fails to achieve full success, those who slander the disciple for no reason are still not allowed to attack the disciple crazily?"

"After all, if you are focused on the overall situation, you will be questioned. If you make some mistakes, the disciples are afraid that you will not be able to clean yourself up."

The Taoist sage showed displeasure on his face and shouted coldly: "Lin Ze, stop talking nonsense. Zhuang Zhou, why don't you take your little junior brother down and discipline him well? What kind of nonsense are you talking about?"

"Disciple, I obey." Upon hearing this, Zhuang Zhou quickly moved forward and pulled Lin Ze down, who was half pushing him.

Lin Ze pretended to be aggrieved, but he was not unhappy at all in his heart. As he expected, Tao Shenghui would stand firmly on his side and take advantage of the situation to take him out.

The Buddha and the Confucian sages had their own calculations, and they were reluctant to let go of the bait. They wanted to get themselves into a trap with just two words of praise. How could it be possible?

Even if he wanted to offer advice, Lin Ze had to clear up his responsibilities in advance to avoid being used as an excuse by Buddhist Confucianists to attack.

After all, after Qin is destroyed, Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism will turn from allies into competitors.

It is obvious that Buddhism and Confucianism have become very close recently, and Lin Ze, as a person representing the Taoist palace fighting for destiny, will be the first target of the two families.

The Taoist sage said to the Buddha and the Confucian sage with an apology on his face: "My disciple is unworthy and I made you laugh."

We haven't turned against each other yet, so maintaining superficial harmony is the right thing to do.

The Buddha said with a sad look on his face: "The fault lies with the Buddhist disciples, and it is the poor monk who should be apologetic. The words of the Taoist Saint make the poor monk ashamed."

The Confucian sage echoed from the side: "Master Li's words are serious. I will immediately investigate the matter thoroughly. I will definitely not let the actions of individual Confucian disciples chill the heart of little friend Lin Ze."

The atmosphere in the venue became silent.

Yan Hui spoke up at the right time: "I am willing to share the worries of the teacher with regard to punishment, but now is the critical moment to destroy Qin in one fell swoop, so please put it aside for the time being."

"Confucianism's righteousness will last forever. Disciples and others who are willing to suffer the backlash of heaven will surely welcome their teacher to Chang'an."

Jin Chanzi stepped forward and said: "Report to the Buddha that I have gathered thirty thousand Buddhist disciples and are willing to fight to the death to break Chang'an."

The sudden statement from the Buddhist Confucianists surprised Lin Ze.

Thinking that he could not embarrass the Taoist sage in front of the Buddha and the Confucian sage, Lin Ze Zhengyi said solemnly: "Teacher, 150,000 soldiers of the Western Qin Dynasty are waiting at the ready and are willing to pave the way for the teacher."
