Chapter 394: Establishing Buddhism, Cultivating Dharma Body

Ran Deng became a quasi-sage because of his enlightenment, which caused a sensation in the three realms.

Especially those powerful people who have stayed in the realm of Daluo Jinxian for a long time, when they see Ran Deng attaining enlightenment, their hearts are full of mixed feelings.

In the past, many great masters could not stand the behavior of Ran Deng. They felt that he was timid and afraid of getting into trouble, and it would be fine if he defected to the Chan religion and took shelter under Yuanshi Tianzun. However, just after the great catastrophe of becoming a god, he immediately betrayed Chan.

Teachers switched to Western religion.

The key point is that he is not alone. He actually kidnapped several golden immortals from the Chan Sect, as well as some of his disciples. This makes people look down upon him.

However, it has to be said that although this old guy is a bit unscrupulous, his desire to seek the Tao has never changed, and this is why he has the current opportunity to achieve enlightenment.

Of course, even if those powerful people were full of envy that Ran Deng could take further steps in his Taoism, it would be absolutely impossible for them to behave like Ran Deng.

There is only one Ran Deng in the Three Realms who can do that kind of thing. He does not hesitate to betray for the sake of his own cultivation path. Other powerful beings cannot do this kind of thing. After all, they still want to save face.

In Lingshan, Ran Deng slowly opened his eyes, with an expression of infinite joy but also a hint of helplessness.

Being able to cross the bottleneck and step into the ranks of quasi-sages, Ran Deng is naturally filled with endless joy.

However, he is currently definitely the weakest among all the Quasi-Saints.

In fact, even the Tao that I have witnessed is somewhat imperfect.

Because he lacks the twenty-four Dinghai Divine Pearls, he cannot evolve into the heavens, so his great path is lacking.

It's just that the Dinghai Divine Pearl has been taken away to the outer world by Zhao Gongming. No matter how much Ran Deng misses it in his heart, he doesn't dare to go to Qing Yu Yutian and snatch the treasure from Zhao Gongming in front of the leader of Tongtian.

However, it is not impossible to make up for it. Ran Deng can also use other spiritual treasures to evolve the heavens, but they are not as suitable as the set of Dinghai Pearls.

Moreover, the treasures that can be used to evolve the heavens must at least be innate spiritual treasures.

But where does he have any innate spiritual treasures now?

During the battle in Xiqi, Zhao Gongming's brother and sister not only took back the Dinghai Pearl from him, they even took away the Qiankun Ruler and the Coffin Lamp from him.

Ran Deng can now be said to be the poorest among all powerful people.

Fortunately, he has now switched to Western martial arts. Otherwise, it would be a joke if he still practiced according to the Taoist method of killing three corpses, and after becoming a quasi-sage, he would not even have an innate spiritual treasure that could entrust the three corpses.

After he stabilized his realm, he came to Lingshan Hall.

Everyone on Lingshan Mountain has been waiting for him for a long time.

After all, the matter of burning the lamp and becoming a quasi-sage is definitely the most important thing for Western religions right now.

With him as a quasi-sage sitting in charge, everyone in the Western Church will feel much more at ease.

Not long after, news spread across the three realms.

Under the auspices of Ran Deng, Western Buddhism officially changed its name to Buddhism, honoring the Taoist priest Amitabha and the Taoist priest Zundi as the Mother of Buddha.

Ran Deng claimed to be the Buddha, and subsequently granted many Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats and other attainments.

Among them, there are Medicine Master Glazed Light King Buddha, Future Maitreya Buddha, Fearful Sun Buddha, Dingguang Joyful Buddha and so on.

Among the many Bodhisattvas, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and Manjushri Bodhisattva are the first.

In addition, there were three thousand disciples of Jiejiao who were brought to the West by the Second Saint of Chunti and were conferred as Three Thousand Revealed Bodhisattvas by Ran Deng.

At least the name sounds nicer, gives them a higher status, and saves them from causing trouble.

Then, among the original Western disciples, five hundred who were relatively advanced in Taoism were selected and granted the status of Five Hundred Arhats.

In addition, there are eight heavenly dragon guardians.

However, most of the positions of the Eight Guardians are now vacant. Buddhism has just begun to prosper, and it is still far from its heyday.

With Ran Deng attaining enlightenment and calling himself Buddha, Buddhism also began its formal expansion.

They first spread Buddhism among the original believers, which was relatively smooth. After all, Buddhism was originally founded based on Western teachings, but they just re-improved the teachings and incorporated many other ideas.

On the basis of the original emphasis on self-transcendence and transcending reincarnation, the concept of karma and good retribution was added, and the concept of persuading people to do good was quickly accepted by the original believers.

Subsequently, these Buddhist Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, etc. began to teach Buddhism on a large scale in Hezhou, Xiniu.

After all, the entire Xiniu Hezhou is much larger than their original Western Sect territory.

There may be some deliberate reasons for this by the Taoist ancestors. Anyway, when the Heavenly Court divided the prehistoric period into four major continents, a large area was classified as the Xiniu Hezhou area.

And Xiniu Hezhou is the origin of the prosperity of Buddhism. Naturally, these Buddhist disciples will not let such a big piece of fat go uneaten.

As for the spread of Buddhism eastward, let's wait until they have digested the territory of Xiniu Hezhou.

However, although Heavenly Court classified all these areas into Xiniu Hezhou, it was only a general classification. It does not mean that these territories all belong to Buddhism.

In fact, many of the famous mountains and rivers in Xiniu Hezhou are owned by their owners, and there are even many great masters practicing here. Even with the power of Buddhism, they would not dare to provoke them easily.

Such as the Zhenyuan Immortal of Wuzhuang Temple in Wanshou Mountain.

Such as the Bodhi Patriarch in Xie Yue Sanxing Cave in Fangcun Mountain, Lingtai.

Not only did these two people, like Ran Deng, listen to the sermons of Patriarch Hongjun in Zixiao Palace, but they even attained enlightenment as quasi-sages much earlier than Ran Deng.

With Ran Deng's current strength, especially when he doesn't have the innate spiritual treasure in his body, he would never dare to fight with those two, otherwise he would definitely suffer a loss.

In addition to these two quasi-sages, there are also many powerful men with profound spiritual practices, and their dojos have also been divided into Xiniu Hezhou.

For example, the White Fox King of Jilei Mountain is an old fox who has been practicing for who knows how many thousands of years. He has a profound Taoism and separatist rule. There are many similar beings like this.

These monster clans are nothing more than that. Many of them were those who survived the catastrophe of the ancient Lich by chance. Most of them were cultivating in their own caves and rarely went out.

Even if there are some demon kings who are not willing to be left alone, they will only gather some demon clans to dominate and be free and at ease, and will not have any orthodoxy disputes with Buddhism.

However, some other great powers who opened the gate to teach disciples were regarded as a thorn in the flesh by Buddhism.

Therefore, Buddhism takes advantage of its large number of people to suppress those powerful monasteries overtly or covertly, or send people to spread Buddhism near their respective mountain gates and compete for believers.

Of course, there are some Buddhists who can't afford to offend them, and they will stay away from them.

Among them is Patriarch Bodhi from Fangcun Mountain in Lingtai.

This ancestor had many disciples, and many of them became immortals and attained Taoism. However, most of them stayed with him and rarely went out.

Moreover, Patriarch Bodhi had some friendship with two saints from the Western religion in his early years, so it was not easy to offend him because of their past relationship.

What's more, some people don't dare to offend.

So we can only let it go and let it go.

Fortunately, Patriarch Bodhi only recruited disciples and preached preaching near Fangcun Mountain, and made no move to expand his territory.

Moreover, this ancestor was a low-key person, just like a sage who lived in seclusion in the mountains and forests. Not only did he not go out easily, but his disciples also rarely went out.

In this case, Buddhism will ignore the ancestor of Fangcun Mountain and simply avoid the area around Fangcun Mountain when preaching.

In such a large Xiniu Hezhou, there are still more places that have not received the influence of Buddhism. Why bother fighting with these great powers!

As Buddhism spreads Buddhism widely, and there is no sect as big as Taoism in Xiniu Hezhou to compete with them for believers, so Buddhism develops rapidly in Xiniu Hezhou.

However, at present, Xiniu Hezhou is vast and sparsely populated, and the population is not too large. It will take time to truly prosper.

Among the four golden immortals who followed Ran Deng and defected to the Western Sect, the most advanced one, Zhenliu Sun, was not seriously injured during the Great Tribulation of the Gods and was directly conferred the title of Buddha by Ran Deng.

Samantabhadra, Cihang, and Manjushri Guangfa Tianzun, after turning to Buddhism, they practiced it again with the Buddhist method of reincarnation and reincarnation, while using the Eight Treasures Merit Pool, they cultivated it in just a hundred years.

A dharma body.

The Buddhist Dharmakaya is similar to the Taoist incarnation, but it does not require as many heavenly materials and earthly treasures as the Taoist to refine. Instead, it is refined based on one's own magic power and soul.

However, if you just rely on yourself to refine it, it will take too much time and energy, so later the two sages of the West created a method of absorbing the power of incense to speed up the cultivation of the body.

Once these Dharmakayas are successfully cultivated, they will be extremely powerful and can bring out the strength of Manjushri Samantabhadra's original Taoist realm.

However, the image of the Dharmakaya is a bit sinister. It may have four sides and eight arms, or it may have nine heads and ten arms. Even the Dharmakaya of Zhunti Taoist has a strange image with twenty-four heads and eighteen arms.

Each of these dharma bodies may have a green face and fangs, or may have a strange appearance. If ordinary people saw it, they would definitely feel fear in their hearts.

That is to say, Buddhists who are eloquent and have lotus-like tongues can praise Buddhist teachings to the heavens, in the name of leading people to do good, so that ordinary people can believe in and worship them.

Otherwise, if such a dharma body suddenly appears in front of people, it will definitely scare ordinary people into running as far as they can.

Just as Western Buddhism was growing rapidly, the Emei Sword Sect in Qi Yuan was also much more prosperous than before.

Of course, he will not spread the teachings among the people and recruit followers like Western religions. After all, the Emei Sword Sect belongs to the Taoist lineage. Except for the gods in heaven, ordinary Qi refiners do not need the incense and tribute of the common people.

Even in order to keep his own mana pure, he would deliberately stay away from incense to avoid being contaminated by the divine power of incense.

In other words, only the Dharmakaya of Buddhism needs the power of incense to support it like the gods.
