From the publication of the book on November 1st last year to September 6th this year, it was only ten months, but to me, it seemed like ten years had passed.
Now I think of many things that happened in the past ten months. It is clear that not long ago, but it seems that many years have passed. Many things, when recalled, are like seeing flowers in the fog, hazy.
Of course, what I feel most deeply about is the change in my state of mind. If I could write a book about my ten-month mental journey, it would probably contain a million words. (Laughs)
During this period, I have experienced some beauty that I have never experienced before, and I have also experienced some pain that I have never experienced before. When time goes by, the beauty and pain gradually disappear, and in the end, only an empty shell is left.
Empty indifference.
But I'm still alive and trying to fill the empty shell with something completely new.
As a saying goes, a container cannot be filled with new things until it is empty.
And life is not just about the love and hatred in front of you, but also there are countless vast and wonderful things. The universe is so big and the human body is so small, it is enough to explore it in a lifetime.
The biggest insight I have gained during this period of time is nothing else. Just do what you want to do immediately, and don’t leave it for later, because the future is too far away, so far away that you will forget what you want to do.
Okay, I’m done with my emotions, now let’s get down to business. This book has many advantages, but its shortcomings are equally huge. The writing style is not royal, but rather eccentric, so it unexpectedly fell apart in the middle. After all, the tone has been set from the beginning.
It is impossible to forcefully deflect it.
The final chapter of "Shading the Sky" was actually a writing practice, so I had to switch the writing method.
Facts have proved that there is nothing wrong with this way of writing, and the problematic things should not be used in this book. (laughs)
I already have some ideas for the new book. I have learned from the experience and lessons learned from this book’s lack of an outline. I will outline the new book first and then start writing it. It is expected to be released on November 1st.
