0472 Die Casting Machine

President Zhou's corporate reforms made a lot of noise. However, the machinery factory became much quieter because many inactive cadres and workers were fired.

A security team composed of veterans and young people from Nantou Township is responsible for patrolling the factory. They have intercoms to communicate with each other to ensure that production in the factory proceeds normally.

Ding Wenjiang, a worker from Wuhan, walked into the factory with his badge and saw from a distance that the high-power transformer outside the casting workshop had been installed.

With stronger power supply, the equipment in the factory operates more stably. Several new projects have been launched in the reorganized machinery factory.

There are seven sub-models of two-stroke gasoline engines ranging from 50CC to 250CC displacement. This is an attempt to serialize the product line and is a technological breakthrough.

Since the 1990s, many domestic products have frequently claimed that they are imported technologies. Motorcycle engines are also ‘Japanese products’.

What Zhou Qingfeng is aiming at is import substitution. In the 1990s, there would be a large number of domestic automobile and motorcycle production lines, and most of them would not survive more than ten years.

But within ten years, China imported a large number of small-displacement engines from Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Others made money, but its own industry did not develop.

It is better to benefit yourself than to benefit others.

The two-stroke gasoline engine is the simplest, so start with this one. Hundreds of third-line engineering personnel recruited by ‘Holy Light’ started working on this project.

Integrated inspiration, electronic injection control, turbocharging, high horsepower, low cost, low emissions, low fuel consumption, high reliability and good maintenance, Zhou Qingfeng listed a series of dazzling ultra-high indicators.

The concept was so advanced that every one of the company's engineering staff shook their heads in disbelief.

But the president actually brought out the corresponding model of "Japanese imported" motorcycle engine and came up with the corresponding design plan.

Whether you can do it or not is one thing, but you have to work hard!

Zhou Qingfeng convened a meeting with engineering staff, "With our current technical level, it is indeed difficult to build this series of engines. But this is not a reason for us to lower our goals.

I have also talked before about using American Standards to replace the Soviet Standards that we currently commonly use. Now we have to start thinking about what we can and cannot do in the American Standards.

Among the indicators that cannot be achieved, those are those that we can solve by overcoming difficulties. Those are those that are difficult for us to overcome and cannot solve. Those are those that we are confused about and have no concept at all."

While the market in Tianyang is in chaos, the whole company of 'Shengguang' is rushing to launch a 'world-advanced' two-stroke gasoline engine.

Ding Wenjiang is engaged in casting, and the engine blocks of the seven models must be cast first. In order to reduce costs while ensuring performance, the casting needs to be precise and reduce the machining sequence.

Lao Ding came to the foundry workshop today just to see the production capacity of Tianyang Machinery Factory.

Before entering the workshop, someone shouted loudly at the door: "Old Ding, come on, come on. Let me show you a good baby."

The person calling the message was Master Zhang, whom Ding Wenjiang met in his original workplace, who was responsible for mold sand casting. He kept waving at the door and pulled Lao Ding to a large piece of equipment in the workshop.

"What is this?" At first glance, Ding Wenjiang felt that this equipment looked like a horizontal machine tool, but upon closer inspection, it was not a machine tool. "This is... a die-casting machine?"

Old Ding was so surprised that his soul almost flew out of his head.

Most vehicle engines are made of cast iron or cast aluminum, both of which have their own advantages.

Based on the domestic technical level, Ding Wenjiang recommended the upgrade route of cast iron engines.

He wrote a eloquent report of more than ten pages, and only wrote about the benefits of aluminum casting in the last half page, and mentioned in passing that "casting aluminum requires a die-casting machine."

After handing in the report, Zhou Qingfeng called me that night. The president didn't even mention the dozen or so pages that he had painstakingly written earlier, and only asked about the last short paragraph about "die-casting machine."

After asking for a long time, Zhou Da Bangchui said "Oh" and seemed to understand. But Ding Wenjiang bet that his president didn't understand at all. At most, he understood that the die-casting machine has high production efficiency.

Die casting is to inject molten metal into a mold to cool it and form it. After the mold is opened, the desired metal part can be obtained. It is the same as an injection molding machine, except that the latter injects molten plastic particles.

Ordinary sand casting is particularly troublesome. There are too many processes including shaping, core making, pouring, cooling, sand shaking, cleaning, machining and heat treatment.

For die casting, as long as the mold is prepared and the die is cooled after casting, the finished product is basically the finished product. The casting has high precision, fast speed and low cost. It is often used in engine castings such as automobiles and motorcycles.

It is well-known that big V always say that the competitiveness of domestic products is low labor cost. Such people have no brains and do not understand what industry is and what mechanized manufacturing is.

The biggest feature of industry is that machines replace people, which reduces the proportion of manpower in product costs. In the face of large-scale machine production, low labor costs are of use.

A hundred low-end labor forces are not worth a good machine. The machine does not require five insurances and one fund, operates 24 hours a day, does not ask for leave, and does not slow down the work.

Industrial development is the continuous elimination of low-level jobs.

Back to die casting.

Die casting has advantages and disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage is that if the equipment is not designed and manufactured properly, it is easy to leave pores in the finished product and become a waste product.

In addition, because cast iron has a high melting point, die casting cannot be used. The materials used in hot chamber die casting machines are zinc alloys and magnesium alloys. Cold chamber die casting machines can process aluminum alloys.

At present, domestic electricity is not sufficient, and the output of aluminum alloy is not high yet, and the price is far lower than that of cast iron.

After comprehensive consideration, Lao Ding felt that good die-casting machines had to be imported, which was too expensive. The raw materials were probably not easy to buy, so he recommended cast iron lines to Uncle Zhou.

This is also considering the domestic technical level.

But this damn Zhou Papi, I wrote the report for several days, but he only read the last few sentences.

Did you say you should be cautious when choosing a technical route? I racked my brains and gave it full consideration, and in the end you bought a die-casting machine.

We agreed that when referring to international standards, we should also consider costs, which is in line with the current domestic situation. Aluminum is more expensive than iron, don’t you understand?

You are such a big stick, you talk non-stop during the meeting, is it possible that you are farting?

Ding Wenjiang was angry and happy at the same time. He walked around the horizontal cold chamber die-casting machine several times and laughed. He pulled the foundry worker Lao Zhang and asked: "Where did this good thing come from?"

Lao Zhang said: "The equipment just arrived today, and I'm looking for someone to figure out how to install it. Mr. Zhou said that with the die-casting machine, not only can engine cylinders be produced, but many car body parts can be die-cast.

As long as we build the mold, whether we produce cars or motorcycles in the future, it will be just like making sausages, just squeeze them and squeeze them out."

Lao Ding was so happy when he heard this that he almost danced on the spot. But he danced for a while and then asked worriedly: "Of course it would be nice to have a die-casting machine. But what about aluminum? There are not many aluminum materials in China."

Lao Zhang lowered his voice, "I heard that Mr. Zhou smuggled a large amount of scrap aluminum from abroad. Isn't there a small steel factory in the city? That factory is now in his hands and needs to be restructured.

Also, many people have been laid off recently and have lost their jobs. "Harmony Recycling" is recruiting people in the past two days and needs 500 waste screeners.

It is said that it is because there are too many impurities in the scrap aluminum and iron, which requires manual final cleaning. The salary is not low, but the work is not good, and many people are not willing to do it.

But let me tell you, this person can't be too pretentious."

Enterprise reform is naturally good. Maintaining the status quo will not only kill the enterprise, but also drag down the whole society. Because the wages paid to those wastes are all earned through the hard work of people in other industries.

But it’s quite miserable now that so many people are unemployed.

Old Ding shook his head and sighed: "This Zhou Da Bangchui is very impatient. Can't he fire people slowly? He can fire 20,000 people in one go. Only he can do this."

Just after saying this, someone suddenly shouted at the door of the workshop, "Who calls me 'Zhou Da Bangchui' all day long and has any objections to me?"

The workshop suddenly became solemn, and everyone looked at Ding Wenjiang.

Old Ding was so old that he was shocked. He turned to look at Zhou Qingfeng and had to point to the die-casting machine that had just arrived next to him and said: "Mr. Zhou, I misunderstood. I was praising the die-casting machine."

Woolen cloth."

Zhou Qingfeng appeared in the foundry workshop, with his hands on his hips, and said angrily: "Do you think I'm stupid? Explain it to me clearly. If you don't explain it clearly, half a month's salary will be deducted."

"The word 'zhou' means that the die-casting machine is particularly versatile. The word 'big' means that the die-casting machine has a particularly strong mold clamping force. 'Bang' means that the die-casting machine is particularly powerful. As for the 'mallet'..."

Ding Wenjiang struggled for a long time without coming up with anything. He looked at Lao Zhang, who was already five meters away from him.

Zhou Qingfeng was so angry that Old Ding couldn't laugh or cry, "Why do you, a Wuhan native, call 'Big Bang Chui'?"

Lao Ding explained: "I am not from Wuhan, I am originally from Liaoning."

"Okay, it doesn't matter where you are. I'll give you half a month to install and debug this die-casting machine, and train at least ten qualified operators at the same time. Otherwise, I will deduct one month's salary from you.

I want to see which one of us is the stick?!"
