007 Alarm alarm

Seeing McClain's broken cell phone, Owen shrugged helplessly: "Uh... I don't have one either. My cell phone just jumped off the building."

Owen recounted his escape experience, and McClain's eyes gleamed as he listened.

"Man, you are so lucky. Compared with you, my escape process was so boring. Your experience can be made into a Hollywood movie."

There was actually a trace of envy in McClain's tone. God knows what this guy was thinking.

"But we can use the fire alarm."

Owen pointed to the smoke alarm above his head and then to the fire alarm switch on the wall. He had been preparing to do this before the accident, and McClane seemed to do the same in the movie.

Irving was quite happy that he and the protagonist actually wanted to go together. Who knew that after hearing this, McClain, the client, objected: "No, you can't use the fire alarm, that will expose us."

What? Irving was instantly confused. What is going on?

Why is it different from the one in the movie? Is it because I remembered it wrong or you just changed the script randomly? This idea was originally yours.

Owen looked at McClain in astonishment and heard him continue: "I know where the phone is. We can call the police."

Irving looked at McClain with a look of caring for the mentally retarded. None of the calls you just mentioned can be made. McClain was shocked by Irving's look. He immediately reacted and added: "I'm talking about a satellite phone.

"

"Satellite phone? Where?"

"Floor 40."

"How did you know?"

"I told you that my wife is a senior executive here, and her suite on the 40th floor has a satellite phone."

The plot suddenly changed from what it was in the movie. Owen frowned. He was really confused. The person involved actually rejected his idea. It seemed that there was still a difference between reality and the movie.

Owen secretly reminded himself that he thought that as a time traveler, he finally had a golden finger. Who knew that this golden finger was not reliable and could only be used as a reference at best. If he relied entirely on memory, he might get himself killed.

"Come on, man, help us hide these bodies."

McClane patted Owen on the shoulder and signaled him to come and help. The two worked together to drag the body of the robber named Max into the shadows, and then McClane began to peel off the body armor and equipment from the two bodies.

"You don't mind if a dead person passes through it."

McClain threw a piece of body armor he had stripped off to Irving, and Irving reached out to catch it. He was wearing a Kevlar lightweight body armor, which is also the standard model of the American police. It is soft and can be worn under clothes.

But the one on his hand is obviously better than the one on his body. The inner lining is also made of Kevlar material, and there are fine ceramic patches on the outside. It should be military grade. Although it is heavier, it has a better bulletproof effect.

Well, it doesn’t have much impact on the body’s flexibility.

He is also accustomed to wearing body armor. In the police station, some police officers even wear two pieces.

There has always been a similar legend in the police station. During a certain operation, two police officers were shot. One died because the bullet penetrated his body armor, but the other survived because he was wearing two pieces of body armor.

, the bullet only penetrated the outer layer.

Owen has always believed that this story was fabricated by the arms companies that sell body armor. He tried wearing two pieces of body armor, but it greatly affected the flexibility of the body and made it impossible for him to move normally.

Owen decided to put on the opponent's body armor. He checked the equipment of the two robbers. They were all micro-ramps and pistols, and there were no powerful rifles. The one he had on hand could provide sufficient protection.

Owen took off his shirt, took off his police body armor with "LAPD" printed on it, and then put on the one worn by the robber.

This is done not only because the robber's body armor has better performance than his body armor, but also because the robber's body armor is combined with a tactical vest, making it easier to carry ammunition.

After changing, Owen stuffed the shirt he had changed into a drawer together with the body armor. Owen knew very clearly that he was a police officer, but this identity was harmful rather than helpful here.

Once his whereabouts are exposed, the robbers are likely to use his identity as a police officer to blackmail him, so it is better to change him now.

McClain had picked up all the submachine guns and reloaded them one by one.

The gun is the MP5 produced by H&M, a very classic submachine gun that performs very well at mid-range and is very suitable for indoor combat. The most important thing is that it and Glock both use 9mm pistol bullets, and the ammunition can be used universally.

"This is much better...",

McClain had finished changing his clothes, upgrading from a small pistol to a long and short weapon plus a body armor. He suddenly felt like he had become rich overnight.

The two of them were ready to go, but unfortunately one of the walkie-talkies was damaged, leaving only a usable one hanging on McClain's shoulder.

"We have to leave quickly."

Irving himself had no idea about what to do next. McClain was a police sergeant, higher in rank than him, and the hero of the movie. Irving decided to follow his command and take every step.

McClain thought for a while and made a decision. He would go to the 40th floor to get a satellite phone and call the police.

Owen followed McClain and walked around the building. It was too quiet in the building. The carpeted road was okay, but the sound of Owen's walking was always clearly audible whenever he passed the marble road.

No matter how much he pays attention, it's useless.

The two walked cautiously, and occasionally heard some information from the intercom. From the content of the intercom, they could tell that the robbers were searching layer by layer. They should be checking for people like them who had slipped through the net.

The robber you killed should be the one responsible for searching that floor.

The two walked more carefully, stopping whenever they heard any noise, and would not leave again until they were sure it was safe.

Owen took advantage of this time to watch the movie in his memory again, but McClain had already taken things astray. There was no part of going to the 40th floor in the movie, and he didn't know how much other information would be useful.

Why else would it be said that intelligence is king? With the help of walkie-talkies, Owen and the others were able to know the location of the robbers many times in advance and thus avoid them selectively.

Sometimes they have to hide somewhere and wait quietly for the searching robbers to leave, or simply choose another fire escape to avoid them deliberately.

Finally, good news came over the intercom, the search was basically over, and the robbers returned to the hostage hall.

But this is actually bad news. Owen estimates that the other party will soon find out that two of his accomplices are missing, leaving them little time.
