735 Counter Terrorism Exercise

The presidential family dinner ended in a joyful atmosphere, and FSB agents drove Owen and Monica back to their residence.

President Wolfsky has made an appointment with Irving to watch Alpha's exercises together the next day.

There aren't many opportunities like this.

Early the next morning, Irving got up rubbing his groggy head. Even though Wovsky was much older than Irving, he had a very Russian drinking capacity. He completely scorned Irving. Last night, he drank one cup after another from this old boy.

Quite a few, my head still hurts now.

After two beeps, the car to pick him up had already arrived at the door.

Owen and Monica said hello and went out. Owen went to today's drill by himself. Monica was worried that the noise of gunfire would be bad for her children, so she stayed at home.

Get in the car and drive towards the countryside.

After about an hour, the car arrived at a training ground. Owen looked at the layout of the training ground. This should be an Alpha training base. There were many themed scenes built in various parts of the training ground.

Irving got out of the car, and President Wofsky and several soldiers were already waiting there. Irving walked over, and President Wofsky introduced him: "This is Lieutenant Fuze, you met before in People's Square...

"

Owen nodded. It was Lieutenant Fuze who led Alpha to rescue them from the People's Square, and Alpha's encirclement and suppression of Chechen terrorists and hostages under the leadership of Lieutenant Fuze left a deep impression on Owen.

Owen and Fuze nodded to each other as greetings.

"After a while, Lieutenant Fuze will simulate some extreme scenarios and then implement anti-terrorism operations. After the operation, I hope you can give some opinions based on your experience. If there are any shortcomings, please point them out..."

President Wofsky said to Irving, and Irving nodded. He could feel that Lieutenant Fuze next to him was a little unconvinced, but he did not refute it because it was the president's order.

He can completely understand this, and he will definitely be very unhappy if someone points fingers at his Omega.

If it weren't for the fact that Irving is just a person, maybe this guy asked for a confrontation exercise or something. There is no way, the positions of the two sides are naturally antagonistic. If an American is allowed to find fault with Russia's best anti-terrorism force, they will be convinced.

.

"Owen, do you have any requirements, like a specific scene or something?"

Wofsky asked again. Obviously, he attaches great importance to this anti-terrorism exercise, which is also in line with his consistent attitude towards terrorism.

"I have no requirements. Just follow everyone's usual drills."

Owen shrugged and said it didn't matter.

"Go and get ready, Lieutenant Fuze, show your best and let your American counterparts see your strength."

The president gave the order and Fuze followed the order.

During the preparation period, probably feeling Fuze's hostility, Wovsky explained casually: "Please forgive his arrogance, they are all the best fighters. Alpha is the pride of Russia, and all the team members are from national security

Carefully selected from graduates of government agencies, airborne troops, border troops, and military academies. In addition to being physically strong and responsive, they are also required to pass an intelligence test. Select one from a hundred..."

Before President Wolfsky finished speaking, Irving continued: "I know that Alpha was originally called Team A. It was established during the Soviet period and was affiliated to the KGB at that time. Today's Alpha has about 700 people, including one

250 elite troops and several detachments.”

"I know all about their achievements. In 1979, they successfully subdued a terrorist who sneaked into the U.S. Embassy in the Soviet Union. In 1981, they subdued two terrorists who were carrying submachine guns and took 25 middle school students hostage in Sarapur City.

In 1983, 57 passengers who were controlled by some terrorists were rescued in Georgia. In addition, there were the Bolshoi Theater hostage incident and the last Beslan hostage incident..."

Irving continued to add, with a smile on President Wolfsky's face: "It seems you are very familiar with them..."

Owen said that of course he was familiar with it. This unit had brilliant records, but it was often used by the West to blackmail Russia. How could he not be familiar with it?

Alpha's preparations are complete and the exercise begins!

Irving and the president boarded the observation vehicle. Not only were drones in the sky recording the overall situation, but their observation vehicle would always follow the exercise vehicle for close observation.

Ahead, several armed and masked robbers grabbed several dummies and entered a van. The vehicle sped away, and not long after, Alpha's car also gave chase.

Owen understood that this was supposed to be a scene where the robbers took the hostages and drove away. It seemed that Alpha was going to perform a performance of stopping the vehicle and rescuing the hostages.

The van where the robbers were in and Alpha's van were speeding on the road, with the observation vehicle following closely behind. Alpha quickly approached, and then the door of the car was opened violently. The first person to bear the brunt were two bulletproof shields, followed by fully armed Alpha soldiers.

The soldiers fired violently at the driver's seat and tires of the van, and crisp gunshots were heard one after another.

The tire was blown out, the terrorist in the driver's seat was shot dead, and the car came to a halt.

Seeing this, Irving thought it was normal. There were no hostages in the driver's seat. It was reasonable for the anti-terrorism team to kill the driver and blow out the tires to force the vehicle to stop. Basically, this is how all countries do anti-terrorism.

However, everything that happened next completely subverted Owen's understanding and made him understand what Russian-style counter-terrorism is.

Alpha was very fast. After the robbers' van was forced to stop, they also stopped quickly. The team members lined up in two teams as quickly as possible and approached the van. Each team had a bulletproof shield in front to provide cover.

The team quickly approached, and then an Alpha stepped out and threw a window breaker onto the van. This is a stick-shaped explosive. The intensity of the explosion will not cause life-threatening damage to people nearby, but it can break the glass.

The window breaker exploded, and all the car body glass was blown to pieces. The distribution of the hostages and robbers inside was immediately exposed to Alpha. Then according to the procedure, Alpha or snipers outside should kill all the people inside with precise shooting.

Threate those robbers with the ability to ensure the safety of hostages and counter-terrorism team members.

But Alpha didn't do this. They cooperated very skillfully. Almost at the same time as the window shattered, another Alpha threw a grenade into the car.

That's right, it's a grenade, not a flash bomb, not a smoke bomb, not a shock bomb, it's a grenade...

There was a loud bang, firelight and smoke sprayed out from the windows everywhere, and Alpha launched a surprise attack.

They opened the car door and took out the robbers and dummies that marked death one by one.

Irving couldn't believe his eyes. He looked at President Wolfsky next to him, but he didn't show any surprise.

Russian-style counter-terrorism, not even a blade of grass grows!

If the incident in People's Square can be explained as the situation was complicated at the time, so Alpha did not hold back, but the current scene can fully explain that this is the Russian's anti-terrorism style.

These are two different styles of anti-terrorism security from the United States and the Western world. In the mainstream world, the safety of hostages is the top priority, but here, hostages do not seem to be that important, and killing terrorists is the most important.
