Chapter 9 The inexplicable knock on the door

But the good times didn't last long. Just after I licked my face and chatted happily with Sister Liu for several hours, Sister Liu finally had to get off work.

I looked at the time and saw that it was exactly ten o'clock in the evening. Tomorrow's morning shift, Uncle Quan, wouldn't be back until eight o'clock at the earliest. As soon as Sister Liu left, I would have to stay in this crematorium alone for nearly a day.

Ten hours.

When I thought of this, my heart skipped a beat, and I felt as if I had been on a pirate ship. No wonder the wages at the crematorium are high, and no wonder there are so few employees here. It turns out to be such a scam!

Sister Liu looked at me and scanned me around with her pretty eyes. Before she left, she pretended to be mysterious and said to me: "Silly brother, don't be too nervous about working the night shift for the first time. Wait a minute."

At eleven o'clock, go and close the door and find a place to sleep."

"Well, thank you, Sister Liu, for reminding me. Alas, I'm just afraid that I won't be able to sleep and will scare myself so much!" I frowned and said truthfully.

"Gee, do you get scared sometimes?" Sister Liu blinked at me. I looked at such a charming woman in front of me. If she hadn't told me that she had given birth to a child, I really wouldn't have believed it.

Sister Liu is actually almost thirty years old.

I saw Sister Liu paused, and then said again: "Silly brother, don't say that my sister doesn't take care of you. Remember, when you are working the night shift, never go to the row of small rooms at the back; and if you listen in the middle of the night,

Don’t be afraid of any noise you hear, just roar a few times and that’ll be it.”

"Ah? Are there still sounds in the middle of the night?" Now I was completely confused. There was no one in the crematorium. How could there be still sounds in the middle of the night?

But when I thought about it again, I just couldn't help but have a clever idea...

"Okay silly brother, sister is gone, don't worry about her." Sister Liu winked at me mischievously and quickly walked out of the dressing room.

When I saw this, I quickly walked out with her, thinking that I would close the door of the crematorium and then patrol around to find a place to sleep decisively.

In the dark night, an old yellow lamp from an unknown age was lit at the door of the crematorium. Under the dim light, I saw Sister Liu's figure slowly disappearing into the night...

I calmed down. Fortunately, Sister Liu's home was not far from the crematorium. Otherwise, she would not have dared to go home alone at this time.

As soon as Sister Liu left, I quickly closed the iron door of the crematorium, then returned to the dressing room and took out the flashlight, thinking that I could just patrol and be done.

And just a few minutes after I patrolled with a flashlight, there was a sudden knock on the iron door that I had closed!

In the originally silent night, the sudden knock on the door scared me so much that my heart felt as cold as if I had fallen straight into an ice cellar!

My face instantly turned pale, and even my eyes were a little hesitant to look at the iron gate!

"Silly brother, open the door, it's me, sister."

At this time, a familiar voice came from outside the iron gate. When I heard it, I breathed a quick sigh of relief!

It turns out to be Sister Liu, damn, this is too scary!

I quickly ran over and opened the iron door. I saw Sister Liu looking at me with a resentful face and said, "Sister, I forgot to take something. Just when I wanted to come back to get it, you locked the door."

After hearing Sister Liu's words, I unconsciously touched my head and chuckled awkwardly.

Sister Liu blinked at me, then returned to the dressing room and picked up a bag containing clothes, and then said goodbye to me again: "Silly brother, sister is really going home now."

"Well, goodbye, Sister Liu." I looked at Sister Liu's teasing smile, and I felt a little unspeakable in my heart to say, Sister Liu, if you don't accompany me anymore, I would be really panicking on this night shift alone.

However, a man's dignity still needs to be respected. Under Sister Liu's joking smile, I gritted my teeth and firmly said that I was fine. I was just working the night shift, wasn't it? What a joke!!

Sister Liu left with peace of mind. When I saw that Sister Liu's figure had gone away, I quickly closed the iron door again. In my heart, I felt like ten thousand grass and mud horses were galloping past. Damn, this is the crematorium.

The night shift is really not for humans!

As soon as the iron gate was closed, I grabbed the flashlight again and started patrolling the crematorium. There were not many buildings in the crematorium. It was basically divided into two parts. The front was a condolence hall and a place for family members to rest, and the back was

It is the main component of the crematorium; it includes an incineration room and a dressing room, plus a small warehouse and a small office...

Of course, except for some commemorative supplies that can be sold for money in the small warehouse, there are almost no valuable things in other places; the two large stoves in the incineration room, various cheap cosmetics in the dressing room, etc.

Let alone a thief, even a three-year-old child wouldn't bother to take the stuff.

After patrolling the inside of the crematorium, I went to the outside of the crematorium. There were men's and women's toilets outside the crematorium. Naturally, I was too lazy to go in and patrol. Behind the other side, there was a row of small dark rooms.

I took a closer look and found that the design of this row of small dark rooms was a bit weird. It was just a row of small dark rooms, and it was extremely dark inside. On the first day I came here, I thought this was a resting place for crematorium employees.

, later when I asked Uncle Quan what it was for, Uncle Quan chuckled at me a few times and said that I wanted to know what was inside, and I’d have to go in and see clearly...

Just now, Sister Liu told me to try not to get close to the small dark room behind the crematorium when patrolling. I don’t know what is in the small dark room, but I know in my heart that Sister Liu will not

She told me not to come close to her who was hurting me. If I didn’t come close, it would be fine.

After a hasty patrol, I glanced at the interior of the sparsely lit crematorium, and felt a bit eerie in my heart...

However, just when I was about to step into the dressing room to go to sleep, suddenly, there was a soft knock on the door behind me.

The door to the crematorium is an iron door. When the iron door is knocked, the sound is naturally very clear and audible; but when this soft and feeble sound sounded, I was stunned and thought to myself: Could it be Sister Liu?

Don't worry, I'm running back again?

I quickly turned back and looked at the iron gate, but under the dim yellow light, I didn't see any figure.

I couldn't help but frown. The knock on the door just now was very weak. Maybe it was the sound of the wind? Winter is coming soon, and the night wind naturally has some strength...

I shook my head, and was about to lift my legs and walk inside again; but before my footsteps could fall, there was another knock on the iron door behind me; and this time the sound was obviously louder than before.

It's a lot louder!

I looked back without hesitation, but I still saw an empty space outside the iron gate, with no figure at all!!

At this moment, my heart went crazy, and my spine felt chilly!

What the hell is going on? Why is there a knock on the door when no one is there?

"when!"

The knock on the door rang again, and I could no longer hold back the surprise in my heart. I turned around and walked towards the iron door cautiously, but my legs were as heavy as lead!

"Who is it?" I weakly shouted outside the iron door, but there was no response outside the empty black door...

"Who is outside?" I yelled again, then approached the iron gate and looked up outside!

However, outside the iron gate, under the dim yellow light, not even a shadow, let alone a human being, could be seen...

The knocking on the door had stopped, and I stood by the iron door, feeling guilty for a while. Uncle Quan once said to me that as long as the iron door of the crematorium is closed, nothing can get in; but this inexplicable

There was a knock on the door, but it made me sweat a little.

I quickly turned around and left, thinking I would ask Uncle Quan tomorrow about the knock on the door and why it kept ringing from time to time...

And just a few seconds later, before I had gone far, a faint female voice rang out from the iron door where the knocking had originally come.

"Excuse me, have you seen my sister?"

The woman's voice was very nice. I was caught off guard and turned around to look around. I saw a young woman wearing a long white dress outside the iron gate...
