Bodhisattvas are respected above saints, and there is no essential difference between the Bodhisattva's instruments and the relics of saints. The guess is indeed true.
"In the Temple of the Tenth Generation, there is a purple gold alms bowl, also known as the 'human head bowl'."
Head bowl!?
When did Buddhism use ‘bone vessels’ as magic weapons?
Liu Shuzhu was surprised: "Since it is a bowl with human heads, how can it be made of human skulls?"
"Yes." The young monk nodded, "But it's not an ordinary person's skull, but the skull of an unknown Bodhisattva as the base. It is inlaid with heavenly purple gold and has ancient Buddhist inscriptions cast on it. However, when it was found, a corner was missing.
, it should have been damaged in ancient times."
"In the Bodhi Temple, there is a section of Bodhi root. Legend has it that it is a section of rhizome cut off from the 'Xumi Bodhi Sacred Tree'. Although it looks like a rotten tree root, it is actually extremely tough and cannot be broken by anything!"
The Bodhi tree has always been revered by Buddhism as the tree of wisdom and enlightenment. It has the same title as the Buddha. It has been famous all over the world many years ago, but it has become extinct in ancient times. It is only recorded in many ancient classics!
Every temple sect, no matter which Buddha is worshiped, has allusions about the Buddha attaining enlightenment, meditating, and becoming a Buddha and ancestor under the bodhi tree. The details of each are different, and future generations cannot find out the earliest one.
The name of the sacred Bodhi tree has spread more and more widely, and it has been passed down to this day with the Buddha.
If there is a rhizome of the sacred tree in the Bodhi Temple, it may be of great help in researching ancient history.
The three of them were telling stories as they walked forward. The two monks said something to each other, which made Liu Shuzhu speechless.
"Among the Arhats of the past dynasties of Buddhism, the fourth ancestor came from the Bodhi lineage. He once used great magic power to carve the Bodhi root into a walking stick and engrave Buddhist scriptures and Dharma on it to further demonstrate its power. Unfortunately, it took more than a hundred years to complete the Bodhi root.
But even the skin has not been broken. The Fourth Patriarch once said bluntly before he was enthroned that the precious meaning hidden in the divine roots is so profound and profound that he has spent his whole life but still cannot understand it."
The mind of a Buddhist is not a clear mirror, and the bodhi flower blooms without meditating.
With the power of an Arhat with a golden body and great enlightenment, he can drink from a thirsty river and make fish and crabs turn white, but he cannot penetrate a rotten tree root!
When I say it, I am shocked and can't help but make people feel dumbfounded.
"Later, the monks in the Bodhi Temple had no choice but to bury the root behind the temple. A bud sprouted out that day, but it took thousands of years to mature!"
"According to the records, if the true Bodhi tree is to grow, it would take ten thousand years of spring and autumn to produce one leaf, and one hundred thousand years of cold and heat to produce one fruit, which would take at least millions of years."
"The Bodhi tree in the Bodhi Temple was transformed from rotten roots. Compared with the Bodhi tree recorded in the classics, the tree species is probably impure."
In a certain direction in the giant city, every once in a while, the shadow of a towering tree will appear in the sky.
The branches and leaves are luxuriant, and the air roots hang low. When blown by the wind, the shadows of the trees rise and disperse, like a mirage, constantly changing.
There should be the temple gate of Xumi Bodhi Temple.
Looking at the shape of the tree shadow, Liu Shuzhu suddenly trembled slightly and thought of the temples of the Buddhas again.
He still vaguely remembered how similar the shadow of this tree was to some of the tall plants in the illusion!?
However, the ancient trees in the fantasy world are all over a thousand feet tall and extremely luxuriant. I am afraid they are not comparable to the ten-thousand-year-old tree in Bodhi Temple!
The lost paradise of Buddhas, with sacred Bodhi trees all over the hillside.
After he told the matter, the monk Yanji was silent, while the young monk slapped his head and suddenly realized: "How could I have forgotten it? It's so similar!"
…
The Shishi Temple has a bowl with a human head, and the Bodhi Temple has a Bodhi root. When talking about the temple-suppressing treasure of the Damingwang Temple, the two of them pointed to a minaret building in the city and let Liu Shuzhu see it with his naked eyes.
The spire of the ancient tower seems to be a little tilted. At the top, there is a clear light flickering. It is not dazzling, but it always makes people unable to see clearly.
After staring for a moment, Liu Shuzhu exclaimed: "Then... that's not a relic, is it?"
"Hehe." The little monk said, "It's just a relic!"
Damingwang Temple has a Bodhisattva relic, which originally belonged to a Bodhisattva from ancient times. The Bodhisattva's Buddhist name is "Jinglan".
Jinglan relic.
In that magnificent era, Jinglan Bodhisattva's magical power was not outstanding, not widely known, and could not compare with the four great Bodhisattvas throughout ancient history. But after all, he was an ancient divine monk who was accomplished in practice!
The relic is only the size of a rice bead, but it is the most complete of the three treasures.
Therefore, its power is also the strongest!
"Don't underestimate it. It's only as big as a grain of rice. Once activated by the combined efforts of all the gods and monks, its light can shine as brightly as the sun and compete with the bright moon. You'll know it at night!"
The light of a grain of rice dares to compete with the sun and the moon, and indeed matches the grace of the ancient Bodhisattvas.
...The blood relic in the brain is as big as the belly of a finger. If it is exerted with all its strength, it is impossible to guess what kind of power it can display!
The closer you get to the giant city, the stronger the waves in your heart become, as if the river is turning upside down.
There are more than a dozen suspended stone roads, thousands of feet wide, like a dragon waking up and ready to fly, winding from the surrounding ground to the sky. Looking from a distance, there are many black spots on the road, with different colors.
It looks like dragon scales, but it’s caused by the dense crowd of people passing by!
The huge city is not restricted to the sky. Those stone roads are all built for mortals. Cars are also flying high in the sky, and warriors are like ants.
The prosperity along the way is like passing clouds and will not be mentioned.
The three of them flew towards the minaret, passing several squares on the way. They were astonishingly large, like vast plains, and in the center stood a Buddha statue, which was Fudo Myooh Buddha.
The incense rises into clouds, and the bells and cauldrons ring forever!
When the three of them landed in front of Mingwang Temple, what they saw was somewhat beyond Liu Shuzhu's expectation.
With such a huge city, I would have thought that the size of Myoouji Temple should also be extremely majestic, but it is hard to imagine that it would at least be more outstanding than the Castle Peak Pillar of the large city.
However, although the temple occupies a large area, none of the buildings are luxurious. Compared with the prosperity of the city, it seems too shabby, and it is extremely inconsistent with its status in the Western Desert.
How many monks are there in the West Desert? To put it bluntly, there are a lot of them. If you close your eyes and throw a few stones into a crowd, you will definitely hit a bald man!
However, only the eminent monks with the most outstanding practices are qualified to enter the three major temples for practice.
When we arrived here, no one dared to make any noise. Although there was no strong aura, there were countless divine monks sitting in the temple. The air was filled with the majesty of Buddhism, invisible and supreme.
Most of the people offering incense and worshiping Buddha stopped at the specially built square and did not dare to cross. Inside and outside the temple gate, it was very quiet on weekdays.
Today is different from the past!
Outside the temple gate, there was a dense crowd of people standing there. Yi Shui'er's bald head was so shiny that it made people unable to open their eyes. The news of the Bodhisattva's reincarnation had already been transmitted through the secret method and flew all the way back to the temple.
An old monk wearing a bright cassock and holding a four-hole tin staff, also with a Buddha's light covering his head, stood at the front to greet him!
So far, this is the best-looking monk Liu Shuzhu has ever seen, completely in line with the world's perception of an eminent monk.
After the three of them landed, Monk Yanji stepped forward to bow and said: "Brother Abbot."
The young monk's eyes were darting around, and he didn't know what he was thinking. He raised his hand and said, "Abbot Yande."
Abbot Yande is the current abbot of Damingwang Temple. He is generally responsible for taking care of many affairs in the temple. He is from the same generation as Yanji, and among this generation, he is the eldest.
Behind Abbot Yande, there are more than a dozen old monks standing. Their faces are completely different, but their expressions are exactly the same. There are no mustard seeds in their eyes, and there are no waves in the ancient well. Behind their heads, the faint glow of the sun shines on each other, and the Buddha's light covers the top of their heads.
Darkness is the best proof of identity!
These people must all be elders in the temple, and their status will not be low.
"It's true!" Abbot Yancan suddenly shouted and said angrily: "Aren't you going to run away?"
Ruzhen, a young monk, didn't buy it and said with a smile: "What did the abbot say? This is called traveling. Do you understand traveling? Sooner or later, you have to come back!" When he laughed, the expressions on the faces of many young disciples changed.
It all became very unnatural.
There is some fear and some displeasure, and it definitely cannot be called friendly.
When Liu Shuzhu was doing harm to a group of people in the mountains and playing tricks on the tough bandits, they would probably have this expression on their faces.
It seems that this little bald thief is really not a good bird!
"I'm new here, please don't be fooled by this guy."
Then, people's attention shifted to Liu Shuzhu.
The eyes of those eminent monks made it impossible for him to hide any secrets. Fortunately, he is already used to it, so you can look at them as you like.
"Junior Liu Shuzhu, I have met Master Yande and all the sacred monks."
Abbot Yande was not really angry. He lightly hit the little monk Ruzhen on the head. His eyes brightened when he looked at Liu Shuzhu. He suddenly smiled like a flower and looked like he wanted to come up and kiss him.
"The great blessing of Buddhism." After sighing, he clasped his hands and said, "Bodhisattva, please."
The monks gave way one after another and said loudly: "Bodhisattva, please!"
The solemnity of the scene made people feel a little guilty.
"Master Abbot, you're very polite." Liu Shuzhu hurriedly joined his hands and returned the gift, "Bodhisattva has been lost to ancient times, and the past has passed. In this world, there are only common people and boys, and the younger generation cannot afford it."
Yande and Yanji looked at each other. Who knows what they said through the message, but they always felt that the abbot's eyes had evil intentions.
Abbot Yande did not comment, but bowed more formally, bending ninety degrees, and said again: "Bodhisattva, please."
This time, all the monks acted in the same way as him. Even the young monk couldn't stand up, with a wicked smile on his face, which made Liu Shuzhu want to kick him.
The fact that so many eminent monks were offering such generous gifts could only frighten him!
In the end, I couldn't stand it anymore and walked into the temple gate anxiously.
Next to the door, a young novice wrote a good calligraphy, and set up a special desk to copy scriptures by hand. He probably recorded the conversations between several people and sealed them as a classic book passed down from generation to generation.
As he walked over, Liu Shuzhu glanced quickly and saw the last few sentences above:
The reincarnated body of the Great Wish Bodhisattva returned grandly to the Daming Temple. On that day, three thousand disciples came to greet him, both inside and outside.
