164: Secrets of Norse Mythology

Joel frowned in confusion as he listened to William's narrative.

"You said those Norse gods are real?" He sat on the wooden chair and leaned forward slightly, feeling as if he had learned a shocking secret.

"That's right," the cold sweat and blood on William's face mixed together, and the pain made his face distort. "Those people who are called gods by Muggles are wizards."

"Hiss..." Joel didn't know what expression he should make. He simply crossed his legs and said, "Really? I don't believe it."

"Really, really..." William was now afraid that Joel wouldn't believe it, and if he cast a few more Cruciatus Curses on him, he might go crazy.

"You know Merlin, right?" William closed his eyes, and the blood on his head flowed down his forehead and down his eye sockets.

"Of course," Joel crossed his arms, "He is a graduate of Hogwarts Slytherin House and is a famous alumnus of ours."

"Then you should also know his story in the Muggle world," William explained to him, taking the opportunity to quickly adjust his physical condition, "He helped King Arthur ascend to the throne, leaving a story that Muggles are happy to talk about.

legendary stories..."

"I know, I know, there are records in the history of Hogwarts," Joel interrupted quickly, a flash of inspiration flashed in his mind, "Are you saying that the characters in Norse mythology suffered the same fate as Merlin?"

"That's right," William said with a childish expression on his face, "As wizards, they possess extraordinary magical power. In ancient times, these gods did not bother to use wands, but they could cast magic that shook the world. Some Muggles codified it when they saw it.

It became a legend and spread throughout the world.”

Joel was so shocked that he looked through a lot of books about Norse mythology. He never expected that the truth of the matter was like this.

He frowned and leaned on the wooden chair to digest the shocking news.

"Do you know anything else about that slate?" Joel asked. He had heard William and Andre talk about the origin of the slate in the Norwegian forest.

William shook his head, "The slate clue I got from a squib is too old. He doesn't know who made the slate. He only knows that there is a secret treasure hidden in it."

"I know nothing about other things," William saw Joel's unhappy expression and knew that he was not satisfied with his statement, so he quickly said, "touch me, hurry up!"

Joel:???

William glanced at him without knowing why.

"Hurry up!"

he urged.

Joel carefully pointed the wand at William and gently touched his pocket with his left hand.

"Is this it?" Joel looked at the black bag in his palm.

William nodded repeatedly, "Open the bag, there is a book inside."

Joel was afraid that there might be some mechanism inside, so he used several identification spells on the bag. According to the results, the bag was just an ordinary container with the Traceless Stretching Charm cast on it.

He used a fluorescent flashing spell to illuminate the space in the bag, and after confirming that there were no other weird things, he reached in and pulled out a book.

"Analysis of the Spellcasting Methods and Mysterious Spells of Nordic Wizards in the Eighth Century".

Joel looked at the book in his hand and didn't know what to say. He just cleaned the photos tonight, and he didn't expect that William actually had a book in his hand.

"This is an only copy," William couldn't see Joel's facial expression clearly. "I spent a lot of money to get it from an Arab businessman!"

Joel sighed, "Okay, you've done your best."

He put the books away and sat down again.

"You, what are you going to do..." William trembled, feeling like he was frightened by Joel.

"Didn't you scream happily at first?" Joel wondered, "Now are you so cowardly?"

The tyrannical and cruel behavior of William before was completely different from his current character.

"I..." William was in trouble and couldn't tell. He was really afraid of death. When he graduated from Durmstrang and joined the Evernight People, it was because he committed a murder outside and needed to find a big tree to shade himself.

Otherwise, who would join the Evernighters after the collapse of the Soviet Union?

"Are you afraid of death?" Joel sighed, "I understand, but it's a pity..."

What's a pity? William's heart almost jumped into his throat.

"You know too much," Joel said, not intending to let William go. In his plan, William would be dead at most. "I can't let you go."

"Don't, don't..." William was anxious, and he blurted out in desperation, "You dug out the Yongye people's mark. If the leader can't see me, he will definitely track it down, and you will lose more than you gain by then!"

Joel laughed, with some blood on the corner of his mouth, which looked particularly terrifying, "I just wanted to say, if I kill you and then fake it as an accident, do you think your leader will notice it?

Even if I notice it, will I stand up for you?"

"We have many tourist attractions in Hogwarts, one of which is the Forbidden Forest," Joel explained to him very patiently. "There are many friendly animals living in it, such as giant snakes thicker than a human waist, or

It’s an Acromantula the size of a truck, and by the way, there are also quite a few werewolves..."

William's body was like chaff and his face was as pale as paper. He understood what Joel meant. If the Yongye people rushed to England to find out the truth about his death and found that it had nothing to do with Joel, they would risk offending Deng.

Do Bleddo and the British Ministry of Magic risk killing Joel?

The answer is absolutely no.

After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the strength of the Evernight organization declined rapidly. It would be considered a success if they could guard the vast territory of Russia, let alone send additional manpower to plan assassinations in Britain, which was thousands of miles away. And William was sure that Joel should not be underestimated.

, if the manpower sent is not strong enough, I am afraid that Joel will kill him again.

He seems to have hit a dead end, unless...

"Okay, if you can't think of anything, just take a look at the scenery outside the window," Joel said very understandingly, "If nothing unexpected happens, this should be the last night of your short life journey."

"Your Majesty has a lot of money, please spare my life!" William cried bitterly, "I am willing to work as a cow or horse for you, and even be your servant!"

"It's too late," Joel shook his head, "If you hadn't threatened me with Haylis before, I might still consider..."

After saying that, he blocked William's mouth, checked the ropes tied to his body again, and then made a bedding and lay down on the ground to catch up on his sleep.

At dawn, Joel got up and cleaned up the traces left in the room. Then he decisively knocked out William, who was keeping his luck, and simply treated the wounds on his body to avoid leaving blood evidence.

After sorting everything out, Joel carried William, who was under the levitating spell, out of the two-story cabin.
