185: Boggart

As the most wanted criminal Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, the Dementors entered Hogwarts, and Hagrid, the original gamekeeper, took on the role of Professor of Care of Magical Creatures.

But this has nothing to do with Joel, neither he nor Haylis chose this elective course.

But the careless Hagrid caused a big mess in the first class. He found several hippogriffs from nowhere and let the third-year students try to pet them.

The hippogriff is not very dangerous, so if you let the students try it out, it will lead to accidents.

Draco Malfoy muttered several bad words about hippogriffs, and then was sent to the infirmary with the paw of a hippogriff named Buckbeak.

"I saw Hagrid correctly," Eddie said with joy on his face when sharing the news. "If Ms. Trelawney hadn't insisted on letting me be her class representative, I would have changed the Divination class to

Care of Magical Creatures learned.”

Ever since Malfoy made an insulting address to Muggle students last year, Eddie had been wishing for Malfoy's misfortune. Now that he heard that he had been sent to the infirmary, his excitement was beyond words.

"This is not good news," said Qiu, who was worried at the side. "Although Hagrid is a bit reckless, he is also quite capable. If Malfoy goes back to complain to his father..."

She stopped, but everyone understood what she meant.

A small gamekeeper and professor of Care of Magical Creatures, the school director, the Malfoy family, has a hundred ways to deal with him.

However, the fourth-year courses were densely packed and difficult, and no one had much energy to spend worrying about a professor who had nothing to do with them. This incident only caused a small splash and then went silent.

"In this class we are going to learn about another dark magical creature," Professor Lupine said warmly as he stood on the podium, "Boggart."

"Actually, you should have learned it last year, but Professor Lockhart seems to have no time to find a wild Boggart for you to practice with." Professor Lupine gestured for them to close the textbook. "He is away in France during his summer vacation.

He even wrote to me specifically and asked me to help him make up for this lesson."

The students in the audience sighed. It was really touching that Professor Lockhart, who was so busy with trivial matters, could take time out of his busy schedule to care about these students.

Professor Lupine left the classroom. Two minutes later, he waved his wand and used a levitating spell to move an old wardrobe into the classroom.

The wardrobe kept shaking, as if something was hidden inside.

Joel took Haylis's hand and lined up behind the students.

"Don't be afraid," Lupine comforted softly, "Boggart's attack power is quite low, you should have understood that."

"You all know the spell to subdue the boggart, right?"

"Funny." Haylis raised her hand to answer the question.

"That's right," Lupine nodded. This part of the knowledge is in their third-year textbooks. Many Ravenclaw students have looked up these knowledge points before, but some Hufflepuff badgers looked confused.

, his big eyes were full of doubts, and Lupine had to explain to them again, "The Boggart can take on any image it thinks can scare us the most."

"You can also understand that Boggart can read people's hearts."

"Come on, everyone..." Lu Ping saw that many little badgers were still a little scared, so he arranged for the Ravenclaw students to take the lead.

"Mr. Taylor," Lupine saw Joel at the back of the team, "you should be the first to go."

He was deeply impressed by this student. He was one of the best among the students in the school for being able to cast a physical Patronus on the Hogwarts Tower.

Joel didn't hesitate much. Paper tigers like Boggart were no threat to him at all.

Standing at the front of the team, Lupine asked a few questions to make sure that Joel was in good condition, then flicked his wand hard and opened the cabinet door.

A human corpse rolled out of the dark cabinet. It was wearing a Hogwarts school robe and a Ravenclaw badge on the chest. The face was bloody and mutilated, and both eyes were covered with wounds. The person was gouged out, and the blood slowly flowed out of the black robe. The death was extremely miserable.

Everyone behind Joel screamed in surprise. Many timid students were so frightened by this bloody scene that they froze in place. Some even covered their mouths and screamed in low voices.

When Joel saw the corpse rolled out of the closet, he was first instinctively shocked, and then felt helpless and bitter.

Although identification could not be made from the face, Joel knew that the boggart had turned into Hayley's body.

"Funny." Joel's heart was calm, but the slightly trembling wand revealed that his mood was not calm.

There was a pop of white smoke that filled the body. When the white smoke dissipated, Haylis's body had climbed up and performed a palace dance in front of the students.

"Next!" Lupine didn't give Joel any more time to react.

Haylis was standing behind Joel, and she faced the Boggart on his behalf.

Haylis, who was performing a court dance in front of the podium, suddenly transformed into Joel Taylor, who was covered in blood and stains. His figure was shaky and he had a broken arm. He looked miserable.

Joel could see the slightly shaking shoulders of Haylis in front of him, and could faintly hear one or two sobs.

He stretched out his hand and gently held Haylis's left hand, as if to convey courage to her.

Hailis bit her lower lip, mustered up the courage to raise her wand, pointed at the bloody Joel and chanted: "Funny!"

Joel, the Boggart incarnation, stopped in place and made a funny face, making many students including Lupine laugh.

"Next one, next one!" Lupine urged.

Joel pulled Haylis to him and whispered comfort.

"Joel, I'm scared to death..." Haylis buried her head in Joel's shoulder, her thin body trembling.

"It's all fake..." Joel patted his girlfriend on the back, "I promise you, I will never appear that ugly in this life."

"What about you?" Haylis grabbed Joel's collar and asked, "How did you feel when you saw my body lying there?"

"Why do I feel that you are not sad at all?" Haylis looked directly into Joel's eyes and asked with a little doubt.

"No way?" Joel shouted, "My hands were shaking when I shot the spell, okay?"

"Really?" Haylis raised her eyebrows, "I don't believe it."

Joel was embarrassed. He scratched his head and looked up to see Haylis looking at him with a half-smile, knowing that he had been tricked by Haylis again.

One month into the semester, Professor Lupine's courses are very popular among the students. Even the always awkward Slytherin students have to admit that Remus Lupine is the best dark magician they have encountered in recent years. Defense professor.
