199: The King of the Forbidden Forest (Part 2)

It was Tiger Tom, and some strange practice between Joel and it allowed him to easily identify the source of the tiger's roar.

He reacted from a trance-like state of mind and bit his lower lip tightly with his teeth until blood beads oozed from his pale lips.

The slight pain jolted his spirit, and the fog in front of his eyes gradually dissipated.

Revealing Tiger Tom's huge body, he was more than ten meters away from him, staring at him with heterochromatic eyes without blinking.

A huge flower suddenly appeared in front of Joel. Each of the eight petals was nearly one meter long and wide, with different colors and extremely gorgeous.

There was a squirming mouthpart in the center of the petals, and a continuous white mist came out from here. When Joel accidentally took a breath, he felt dizzy and almost lost his balance and fell to the ground.

And there was a heavy fog appearing in front of him, sealing his surroundings, but the density was already much weaker than before.

Only then did Joel understand the weirdness of this flower. It obviously used the mist to trap the animals that broke in here into an illusion, and used some illusion to affect their spirits, causing the victims to fall into endless panic and running wild.

, if it weren’t for Tiger Tom’s roar, he would most likely die at the hands of this flower.

Then it will become the nutrient of this flower, providing it with nourishment.

Seeing the way he was stumbling, Tom knew that the upright ape had been hit again. He quickly raised his head and let out another roar, waking Joel up from his dream.

Joel quickly used his wand to create a mask and cover his mouth and nose.

He turned his head and looked down the hillside. The fog there was not as dense as when he fell into the illusion before. Through the mist, he could still see Tom's Cave at the foot of the mountain.

I had obviously been running for half an hour before...

Joel felt that every muscle in his body was protesting, and his body could not be faked. The muddy water under his feet had splashed onto his calves, and the ground was dirty and muddy.

Tom growled and signaled Joel to come over quickly.

He took a step forward, and the soreness and numbness in his calves almost made Joel squat on the ground.

Tom raised his head and glanced at the sky. At this time, the moon and stars were dim, the night was getting darker, and there was not much time left for them.

It exerted force on its two hind legs and jumped directly over, stretching out one front paw.

Joel understood what this meant, and he no longer cared about what had happened before.

He held it hard and could feel the powerful power coming from its forelimbs. It stood there like an upright statue.

The moment he stood up, Joel clearly saw disdain and resentment in Tiger Tom's eyes, as if he was mocking him for being too weak.

Joel rubbed the tiger's head vigorously without saying a word.

This was indeed due to his carelessness. He was extremely cautious and did not expect to run into such a big trouble just after entering the distant mountains.

When they passed by this flower, it did not attack. From a distance, it looked like a tool flower that could only spit out mist.

Suddenly, a lost squirrel stumbled out of the mist. Its four legs were flapping very fast, as if it was running as hard as it could, but its body almost stopped in place, which looked very strange.

The squirrel's eyes had become panicked. It tried desperately to regain control of its body, but in the end it was in vain. Its limbs were uncontrollably pulling it closer to the eight-petaled flower, and the squirrel was not aware of the approaching danger.

From its perspective, the surroundings were still filled with thick white fog, and it kept running forward, trying to escape from this area.

Joel and Tiger Tom watched the squirrel step by step into the trap of the eight-petaled flower without warning. It slowly moved to the mouthparts of the eight-petaled flower, and the white mist sprayed out from the mouthparts easily blew away the trap.

When I saw the squirrel's face, it showed no reaction at all. Its eyes were just wide and round. It didn't look cute, but rather scary.

Only a foot away, the eight-petaled flower's mouthparts finally started to attack.

The mouthparts suddenly opened, like the mouth of a snake, it grew to a weird and inexplicable angle, revealing sharp, jagged teeth.

The squirrel's fat body got into the eight-petaled flower's mouthparts, and then its sharp teeth quickly closed.

The pain finally pulled the squirrel away from the illusion. It quickly recognized its situation and tried to struggle desperately.

However, the non-stop running before had exhausted most of its energy, and now it was full of energy but not enough energy.

The sharp teeth meshed, biting the squirrel's body into two pieces. Blood spattered out, dyeing the eight-petaled flower with a scarlet color.

Joel followed Tom and left the eight-petal flower. Now they have entered the distant mountains. It is quiet here, the trees are taller and thicker than those at the bottom of the mountains, and there are very few animals living on them.

Although the distant mountains cover a much larger area than the woods at the foot of the mountains, there are far fewer animals living there, and it is obvious that there are far fewer hunting activities.

Tom signaled Joel to cast the Disillusionment Charm again to avoid being discovered.

Joel gradually integrated into the surrounding environment. Tom wasn't done yet. He picked up the wet soil on the ground with his paws and smeared it directly on Joel.

Joel knew that Tom was covering up the smell emanating from his body. Seeing that the Hogwarts school robe was smeared with mud, Tom wrinkled his nose and sniffed the air.

The human scent was very weak, so Tom was relieved. He leaned down and gently touched the soil with his paws without making a sound.

It turned its head and motioned for Joel to imitate its actions.

Joel was a little worried, but seeing how serious Tom was, he had to duck down and try his best to make his movements look more concealed.

One man and one tiger moved forward slowly. The muscles on Tiger Tom's arms were thick and thick, and his big arms looked thicker than Joel's waist. Crouching there, he looked very intimidating.

They had climbed over a mountain, and the moon above them was no longer blocked by the trees, and was shining brightly.

Looking back now, you can see the Hogwarts Castle in the distance brightly lit. The final exams are over, the curfew has been lifted, and most students are playing in the common room at the moment.

At this moment, Joel thought of Haylis. He estimated that she would be sitting on the sofa as usual, holding a thick book in her hands, listening to her friends' daily chatter, with a slight smile on her lips.

Joel followed Tom down the mountain. They followed a mountain stream and came to a valley, where the streams converged into a small lake.

Tiger Tom's figure lowered even further, his eyes became increasingly wary, and Joel's wand slipped from his sleeve.

Under the dim moonlight, he saw a cave at the foot of the mountain.

Tiger Tom crept forward, staring eagerly at the cave.

There is a lingering smell of blood here. The strong smell of blood can even be smelled by an upright ape like Joel with a weak sense of smell, let alone the cat Tom.

There was a visible look of excitement on its face, and they successfully descended to the bottom of the valley.
