083: A Business Worth the Risk

Alan and Eddie felt relieved when they saw Joel smiling like a successful prank.

"Let me just say, this idea is too outrageous..." Allen said with a smile.

Eddie started kicking on the wall boredly again, muttering nonsense.

When they went downstairs for dinner in the evening, Sergey grabbed Joel and dragged him to a remote corner of the tower.

"Are you serious?" Sergey whispered into his ear.

"What?" Joel didn't seem to respond.

Sergey frowned, "Don't act stupid, do you really want to resell gold?"

Joel glanced around. The Ravenclaw students were either dining in the auditorium downstairs or staying in the common room. It was quiet and no one was around.

"What, are you short of money?" Joel looked into Sergey's eyes.

Sergey hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and said, "...Yes."

"I have this idea." Joel didn't ask Sergey where CLBT's monthly dividend money was spent. He just narrowed his eyes slightly and said, "I plan to take action during the Christmas holiday."

"Can you join me?" Sergey seemed to be very eager for Gallon. When Joel was relieved, he immediately wanted to join the team.

"... Just the two of us, without Allen and Eddie," Joel had already made up his mind. "They are too weak and will cause trouble."

"No problem." Sergey raised his eyebrows.

"This operation involves going abroad, which is very dangerous. Are you sure you want to come with me?"

Sergey looked at Joel's face and agreed softly.

"Do you still have any savings?"

Sergei dug in his pocket and took out two silver coins from his robe.

"Just two sicols?" Joel was stunned. He knew that Sergey was short of money, but he never imagined that Sergey only had 2 sicols. Joel himself had saved 800 galleons in dividend income so far.

"That's all," Sergey blushed, "Don't worry, I will definitely do more..."

"We have to borrow a little more," Joel thought for a moment. "If you want to make money, just make a big profit."

"Who can we borrow it from?" Sergey asked, "We can't explain it to Alan Eddie."

The other two roommates are definitely not suitable candidates.

"I have an idea. Let's go eat first." Joel pulled Sergey downstairs.

Back in the common room, Joel met Haylis who came out of the girls' dormitory area.

"I have something to tell you..." The two of them said in unison.

Haylis's eyes lit up, she glanced at Joel cautiously, and then followed him out.

"Um...you say it first." Joel leaned on the railing. Outside was the bright night sky, with stars shining brightly.

Hailis shook her head, "You go ahead and say it, I'm not in a hurry."

What does this have to do with urgency?

But Joel didn't refuse much, "Do you have any extra money?"

"...Yes." Haylis looked into Joel's eyes, "How much do you want?"

Joel was stunned for a second, "How many do you have?"

"Hmm... I have saved about two thousand galleons since childhood." Haylis bit her lip.

Joel took a breath, "Are you in need of help lately?"

Haylis shook her head, "I've bought all the Christmas gifts. If you want them, I'll go to Gringotts to get them out."

"...Okay." Two thousand galleons is definitely a huge sum of money!

"Well, don't you ask me what I want to do?" Joel suddenly asked.

Hailis shook her head, "You can't run away anyway, just remember to return it to me."

It’s okay not to pay it back, she added in her mind, her cheeks slightly red, looking at Joel’s increasingly handsome face.

"I'll return it to you after the Christmas holiday." Joel promised.

"What are you going to tell me?" After solving the big problem of funds, Joel's restless heart calmed down.

"Then what, you..." Haylis hesitated for a moment, but finally couldn't say it, "Can you know the coma spell?"

Joel laughed softly, "I can teach you tonight."

He has not been idle in the past half of the school year. He has made great progress in magic and other courses. With an above-average magic level and his own understanding of knowledge, even if Joel does not use the system in the future, his level of magic will be very high.

He is also much better than his classmates, not to mention Haylis, who has rich theoretical knowledge and lack of practical guidance.

The Christmas vacation is coming in a blink of an eye, and on December 13th, students take the Hogwarts Express back to London.

Joel, Sergey and Hailes first went to Gringotts in Diagon Alley to withdraw money. Hailes' brother Bernie was angry after hearing that her sister was going to Gringotts to collect pocket money for "little pretty face" Joel.

There was smoke coming out of the seven orifices, and he was furious.

Bernie's rude words finally angered Haylis, and she threatened her brother that if he dared to say anything, she would never go to cheer for Bernie in next year's Quidditch game.

Bernie looked at Joel unconvinced, his lips moved again and again, but in the end he didn't curse.

It was already evening when we arrived in Diagon Alley, there was not much traffic, and there was no need to queue in Gringotts. Haylis took the key and followed the goblin to the underground vault and took out a large bag of gold coins.

"Here, this is all my pocket money." Haylis swallowed the words "remember to pay me back". She wished that Joel would not pay back the money.

The bag of gold coins was very heavy, so I had to ask the pointed-eared fairy to hand the bag to Joel.

Hailis knew that Joel and Sergey had important things to do, "I won't disturb you, Merry Christmas!"

After receiving Joel's Christmas greetings, Haylis jumped to the Leaky Cauldron with Bernie in her arms, who had been given a gag order.

"She trusts you so much?" Sergey watched Haylis disappear into Diagon Alley.

"...Stop talking about this, we still have a lot of things to do." Joel lifted the bag hard and put it on the counter of Gringotts, making a muffled sound.

"Can you exchange U.S. dollars here?" Joel looked at the old goblin sitting behind the counter.

The old goblin glanced at the gold galleons in the bag, adjusted his glasses to cover his greedy eyes, "If you want to exchange gold coins for a large amount of Muggle currency, you need to apply to the headquarters..."

"Just tell me how much it will cost." Joel couldn't wait any longer, and the situation was changing every night.

"Three points, I will use my internal authority to change it for you." The old goblin leaned on the counter and whispered.

"Deal." Joel exchanged 72 gold galleons for US dollar bills worth 2,400 gold galleons. Sergey looked at it and didn't know what to say.

You haven't done anything yet, and you just threw away 72 galleons?

When night fell completely, Joel finally completed the formalities and left Gringotts with a large roll of US dollars.

"Next, go to Knockturn Alley. Mr. Borgin Burke has the things we need." Joel said crisply.

After a large purchase, Joel's remaining 400 galleons were almost gone. When he was paying, the corners of Sergey's eyes couldn't stop twitching, and Mr. Borgin Bock's eyes glowed green with excitement. Such a generous move

Individual tourists are rare on ordinary days.

When they left Knockturn Alley, scattered snowflakes had quietly fallen on their collars.

"We'll stay at the Leaky Cauldron tonight and take the Eurostar to France early tomorrow morning." Joel made arrangements.

Going to France? Sergey followed Joel into the Leaky Cauldron full of suspicion.
