092: A belated Christmas present (2/5

After trying to persuade her twice, Hailes refused to accept the money Joel offered her, so he had no choice but to give up.

Joel watched Haylis take out a cloth bag and take Galleons out of the suitcase.

The train kept churning forward, with silver and jade piled on the street trees on both sides. The cold wind driven by the train blew through, and it was quite beautiful like thousands of pear trees in bloom.

Haylis moved slowly and leisurely, seemingly not in a hurry to go back, and hummed a song that Joel had never heard before.

"It sounds pretty good." In order to avoid making the atmosphere awkward, Joel took the initiative to praise it.

"Huh?" Haylis's eyes wandered, "I think it sounds funny too. Bernie always thinks I'm noisy."

Then you can sing to me more often. Joel almost said this sentence accidentally.

"Well," Haylis cleared her throat and paused holding the hand holding Jin Gallon, "Christmas gift..."

"I was just going to give it to you," Joel took out a white satin girdle pocket from his robe pocket, "Here."

"Thank you!" Haylis was very surprised. She immediately opened her pocket after receiving it, "This is..."

A brooch in the shape of a Ravenclaw crown. An eagle made of broken diamonds spreads its wings and tilts its head slightly to the left with a bit of arrogance. The eagle's body is made of a small string of sapphires.

Halis looked at the back of the brooch, where the abbreviation of Halis' name was engraved in beautiful cursive letters: H.A.S, Halis Abbigail Selwyn.

"It's beautiful!" Haylis's black eyes flashed with surprise, "Did you do it?"

"Yes," Joel smiled, "I am short of time and I didn't have time to buy a jewelry box, so I can only give it to you like this."

"It's okay!" Haylis carefully pinned the brooch on the right side of her chest, "I like it very much."

Just like it.

Hailis seemed to have solved something on her mind, her movements sped up a lot, and her expression was relaxed and joyful. Before long, 2,000 gold coins were put into her bag one by one. The palm-sized bag was like a bottomless pit. 2,000 gold coins

The gold coin dropped without causing any ripples, so it was probably because of the Traceless Stretching Charm.

"See you at the long table?"

Haylis nodded vigorously, "The Christmas gift I gave you is in the dormitory. Remember to open it when you get back."

After Joel nodded in agreement, Haylis jumped back to her cubicle.

He looked at the little girl's back. Her thin and frail body was hidden under the black robe. As she jumped up and down, her white ankles were quietly exposed under the black trousers, and she could hold them with one hand.

Something's wrong, something's wrong, what's wrong with my mind, what's the point of holding my ankle?

Joel closed his eyes to calm down, closed the suitcase and returned to the compartment.

At noon, the four roommates shared the beef sandwich brought by Eddie. The sandwich was still delicious even though it had been cast under a warming spell.

When the train slowly slowed down, heavy snow began to fall outside the window. After getting off the train, they had to put on their hoods and walk in the snow - even though this look looked very much like Death Eaters to Joel.

There was no dinner reception when they returned to school, so they enjoyed a bland dinner at the dean's table.

After getting rid of her younger brother Bernie, Haylis finally got close to Joel. While eating, she would glance at Joel's face from time to time, and a blush would appear on her fair cheeks.

"Joel, Joel..." a call came from behind.

Joel put down the tableware and turned around to find Ron crouching behind him.

"What's wrong?" Joel frowned. After the sorting ceremony, Ron hadn't chatted with him for 4 months. It was probably because he was so angry with his prank about the "Welsh Green Dragon".

Why did it suddenly turn cloudy and sunny now?

"That..." Ron rolled his eyes and saw Haylis' curious eyes moving over.

"Let's go out and talk."

Hailis' face bulged, obviously dissatisfied.

Joel glanced at her and felt that this girl looked like a puffer fish.

"I'll bring you some back to the common room." She whispered into Joel's ear.

After Joel left the table, Haylis frowned and began to recall what dishes Joel liked to eat.

"Just say what you have to say, and don't go out." Joel gave Ron a hand in the foyer. The students were all dining in the auditorium and there was no one else here. "It's snowing outside and it's very cold."

"Oh," Ron stopped after hearing this and turned to look at him, "Joel, don't you have anything to say to me?"

"I..." Joel looked at Ron's expression of "Do you owe me an apology?" and sighed, "I'm sorry, do you need my help with something?"

Ron was relieved, and leaned into Joel's ear and said in his lowest voice: "I heard they said that your grades are very good, and Hermione's grades are only about the same as yours. Do you know who Nico Flamel is?"

"What Mei?" Joel didn't hear clearly.

"Nicholas Flamel." Ron slightly enlarged his voice.

Joel raised his head with a serious face, "Ron, are you kidding me?"

"You don't know who Nico Flamel is? Don't you have a huge collection of Chocolate Doll cards?"

Ron looked confused, "Of course I don't know. If I knew, why would I ask you?"

Joel suppressed the urge to roll his eyes, "He and Dumbledore are quite successful in alchemy..."

As soon as he recited this sentence, Ron had already reacted, leaving Joel alone and running towards Gryffindor Tower.

"The Philosopher's Stone, the Philosopher's Stone..." Joel sighed.

When we returned to the auditorium, dinner time was over and the students had already rushed back to their dormitories to catch up on their sleep. After a long vacation, they needed to adjust their biological clocks.

In order to carve the crown brooch, Joel didn't sleep well in the past two days. He yawned and walked to the tower.

After answering the question about the eagle-shaped door knocker, Joel opened the door and saw Haylis standing at the door waiting for him, holding a bag in her hand.

"Here, I see you like French fries, so I brought you two portions, as well as a portion of fried chicken legs and pumpkin juice." Haylis hesitated, "But remember to do a little exercise after eating in the evening, otherwise you will

Those who accumulate food.”

After hearing Joel repeatedly promising herself that he would not go to bed after eating fried food, Hailes returned to the dormitory with satisfaction.

In the boys' dormitory, Sergey had finished taking a shower and was sitting on a chair blowing his hair with a wand. Eddie was holding a lively chocolate frog in his hand and wanted to stuff it into his stomach with a big mouth.

I can't watch it anymore, it's too violent.

Joel calmed down and recharged 1W gold galleons into the system.

Expelliarmus - 600 Galleons, the progress bar is full! Thunderbolt Explosion - 400 Galleons, Apparition - 300 Galleons, all are full!

He doesn't begrudge his Galleons. Improving his strength is the most important thing. The plot cannot wait for him to boil the frog in warm water.
