Chapter 2 Unknown Land

The dense darkness swallowed up all the light sources inside.

Jiu Ze walked in the darkness for a long time, and the road under her feet seemed to have no end. As she walked, Jiu Ze also murmured in her heart, but from the moment she stepped in, the door behind her closed.

There was no way out. Jiuze could only bite the bullet and continue walking until his legs and feet were sore and he almost forgot about time. This long period of darkness was not over.

Looking at the exit getting closer and closer, the faint light sticks to the layer of darkness, like a spot of light attached to the black glass cover.

Jiuze couldn't remember how long she had been gone.

"Hua, how long have I been gone?" From the moment he entered the wasteland, Jiuze took the initiative to establish contact with the system.

The system seemed to calculate for a while before replying: "I'm sorry, Lieutenant, the time disk has been chaotic. I can't observe any data, and I can't calculate the approximate duration."

Jiuze felt a chill in his heart, gritted his teeth, quickened his pace, and "moved forward" toward the place that looked like a spot of light.

Finally leaving that dark place, Jiuze stepped onto a piece of gravel ground. The sky here seemed to be extraordinarily high and vast, with tall old trees and canopies, but under the high and vast sky, it still looked small and small.

humble.

Jiuze walked a few steps forward on the gravel, and suddenly felt a slight fluctuation behind her. She turned around and saw that the entrance to the cave that led her had disappeared, along with the long dark place, and there was no trace of it. Instead, it was replaced by a trace of the long dark place.

What was there was a piece of gravel that stretched all the way to no end. This suddenly revealed gravel road was connected to the one under Jiuze's feet. Jiuze understood that this was the normal appearance of this place.

The passage that brought her here was more like an arbitrary door that appeared from time to time.

There were messy vines on both sides. Jiu Ze observed for a moment that the vines were obviously not the same variety. Jiu Ze didn't know any of the varieties, and none of them were on the Mingguang Lingzhi tree. These vines were intertwined with each other and messy, but none of the branches grew horizontally like this.

Up a gravel road.

"Second Lieutenant!" Just as Jiuze was walking aimlessly along the gravel road, the system's voice suddenly came from his mind: "The time disk has been restored, but...just..."

"Just what?" Jiuze asked.

"It's just..." This is a rare moment when the system is so confused: "The date on the time dial has been adjusted one year later!"

"What!" Jiuze was startled, "You mean, I walked around that place for a whole year?"

"This is impossible!" Jiuze asked and then immediately denied, "Not to mention other things, let's just say that even if I am a golden elixir now, it is impossible for me to walk for a year without interruption. Hua, please check the time disk to see if there is any

damage."

"It has been checked," the system said: "Lieutenant, the time disk has the function of automatically correcting the time. I can't find any problems with the time disk now. So, could this situation be caused by time and space confusion?"

Jiuze nodded silently, "Maybe there is something special in it that affects my perception and prevents me from feeling the changes in time, or maybe there is some special power in it that interferes with the time disk's detection of time.

"

"It's possible." The system also agreed with Jiuze's guess.

Jiu Ze looked at the two sections of gravel road with no end in sight and let out a long breath.

What the hell is this place?

Going in two directions, one east and one west, Jiuze chose the side where the passage disappeared and walked along the gravel road step by step.

Rong Miao's grandfather encountered an ancient palace back then. If this place is also related to that ancient palace... Jiuze looked at it as he walked.

There is really nothing to see around here, and it looks desolate no matter how you look at it. However, it is such a place and such a long road. If you abandon its current sense of desolation, the shape of this gravel road would really look like a welcoming road.

The wide and long road shows the status and strength of the owner.

But now, apart from Jiu Ze, there are no other living things here. Even the towering old trees are so quiet that there is no sound. The only sound is the "chacha" sound of Jiuze stepping on the gravel road.

After walking for about seven hours, when the sky was filled with stars, Jiuze finally saw a magnificent ancient palace in front of him.

The ancient palace was entirely made of white jade, and the transparent walls looked particularly warm under the starlight. Jiuze walked in, looked up at the stone steps in front of the ancient palace, and breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he didn't choose the wrong direction.

There was moss growing at the base of the stone steps. Jiu Ze casually sat down on the first stone step, straightened his legs and began to rest.

The stone steps in front of the ancient temple were three feet high. She was really tired now and didn't want to climb them.

Looking back at the way we came, if we walked on the fire wind, it would only take an hour at most. Unfortunately, this place is closed to air.

Same as Luoxia Garden.

Jiuze suddenly had a thought in his mind and raised his neck to look at the ancient palace high above. The original question came to his mind again——

Where exactly is this place?

It was late at night, Jiu Ze raised his eyelids and looked at the dark sky, feeling a strong sense of tiredness.
