"The Second Judgment" (original title "The Epic of Sword and Fire") is my first signed work, and also the first work published on.asxs.
It can be said to be my debut work, Aki Michika.
Maybe this work still has many shortcomings, but I will grow in my creation and believe that the final result will not disappoint those who support me.
Before I joined .asxs., I also tried to publish my works on other portals. After reaching the word count, I always couldn't wait to apply for a contract, but I failed every time.
I am very grateful to .asxs., a website that is willing to give my dream of being a writer a place to live, and to recognize my vision as an editor.
Because before this, I was like a ball being kicked around. Even though I had rolled in the mud and was covered with bruises, I couldn't find the basket that belonged to me.
It was like I missed out on the universities I had chosen after the college entrance examination, and there was no news in the last few days of admission notices.
My parents and I were so pessimistic that we chose a junior college for me. Unexpectedly, just when our family gathered in front of the computer to discuss which city had better junior colleges, one of the undergraduate colleges in the application form admitted me.
Every time I was about to give up, I was taken in.
I have to say, maybe God is really kind to me, who only sees "Thank you for your patronage" on the back when I twist the cap of a Coke bottle.
In fact, if the writing talent I think I possess is still denied on .asxs., an authoritative website for online literature.
I may regard "writing novels" and "telling stories" as things to pass the time when I am bored.
I will no longer regard it as a professional dream, nor will I put much effort into expressing the stories in my heart to everyone in words.
So I want to thank you for this contract and this recognition.
It was the signing of "The Second Trial" (original title "The Epic of Sword and Fire") that made me know that I could still write a story as a formal writer instead of an amateur writing enthusiast.
Someone may ask me: What happened to the things I wrote before?
I will tell you frankly that I have already "cut it in half" and express that I have no intention of filling those holes.
I think everyone who reads my novel probably has deep resentment towards TJ’s work for digging holes but not filling them, right?
This can be regarded as the author's dark history. I still want to make it clear to everyone: In fact, the reason why I was rejected again and again before was not because there was any problem with the editing skills of the website, but because my works were well written.
It is difficult to penetrate the Dharma's eye.
I will not be arrogant and think that my writing skills are irrefutable.
I understand, I'm just a newcomer.
Talk about qualifications, talk about experience, talk about experience...
There is nothing about me that deserves a second look.
What made those editors reject me was not their vision, but the level I showed to them - I really didn't have the qualifications to be recognized.
I don't have a lot of time or...confidence to finish these works.
Moreover, when these works were created, I was still in junior high school or high school and was too busy studying to write as much as I could.
Now when I look back at the chapters I wrote before, I simply don’t feel the confidence I had when I first created them, and I can’t continue writing them.
So I started writing a new work "The Second Trial" (original title "The Epic of Sword and Fire"). This story is actually a collection of my previous "failures".
Before all the stories started, I thought of a scene: on the golden rice fields, a blond girl in a white dress was dancing. She was graceful, but her face was sad, because a man who was supposed to come to watch her was dancing.
The dancing boy did not come. Normally, the boy would lie under the tree and tell her boring jokes. But now the shade of the trees was thick, and the figure of the boy was no longer visible on the shiny black stone.
...
This scene may not be in line with what I wanted to express in "The Second Judgment" (original title: "The Epic of Sword and Fire"), but I still can't forget this scene - this story of a boy and a girl.
So I reshaped my story, rewrote what I imagined, and described it in as complete and precise a way as possible.
This is an epic of swords and fire, and a fairy tale that is no longer innocent. This is also a work in which I poured all my wishes and thoughts into it.
When I signed the contract, I mentioned the approximate number of words to complete the book, and I wrote between 80 and 1 million words. However, I am really not sure when the story will come to an end. But when the story should end
, just let it end.
"We are born to chase dreams. No matter how humble and small you are, there is a lighthouse for you by the port."
This is the message on the title page of this work, because this is my dream work, and this dream is both a dream and a dream.
This is what I think this work can tell everyone.
Originally, the default setting of .asxs.net should be something like "support genuine version, just read the article".
Although it is indeed very important for original authors like us to support genuine works, after all, piracy affects our performance and income. But I think that supporting genuine editions does not need to be mentioned repeatedly in the ears of readers, nor does it need to be regarded as a matter of life.
The motto is written on the cover of the work.
I very much welcome friends who are willing to support this work, as long as you have your heart set on it.
If you like this work, please cast more monthly votes and recommendation votes. Of course, you are also welcome to use rewards to improve Xiaoqiu's poor living conditions.
If you don’t plan to invest too much money in virtual books in the information age, please come to the .asxs. official website to collect them.
Here, I, Qiu Daohe, dedicate this book "The Second Trial" (original title "The Epic of Sword and Fire") to everyone.
