Chapter 229: The smell of vinegar is so strong

The two of them arrived at the gate of Shao Family. Miao Jian looked at the time and saw that it was almost nine o'clock. Why was this building so bright? There was no need to get off work.

Miao Jian walked in with Tang Li with doubts. When the front desk employee saw that it was Miao Jian, he was ecstatic and ran forward regardless of his appearance.

The girl at the front desk politely shouted: "Miss Miao."

Miao Jian looked at the girl whose eyes were shining at her and was a little panicked: "Do you know me?"

"Of course, everyone in the Shao family knows you. Are you here to see Mr. Shao?"

She nodded, and the other party made a secret gesture, and immediately changed their expressions to look at them.

"How about I take you up?" the girl invited.

Miao Jian rarely came here, so naturally she felt relieved to have someone to take her with her, so she agreed.

In the elevator, Miao Jian looked at the girl thoughtfully.

"Why don't you get off work?" Tang Li, who had been silent, asked.

The girl suddenly looked at them with a sad expression: "The boss doesn't get off work, how dare we. Moreover, the boss is in a particularly bad mood today. I heard that he got very angry during the meeting."

After listening to her words, Miao Jian thought about the expression on her face she just saw and realized instantly that she regarded herself as the savior.

When the elevator reached the top floor, Miao Jian and Tang Li walked out. Miao Jian stopped the girl and said, "Thank you for sending us up. I will help you realize your expectations."

After saying that, the elevator door closed. They didn't see the girl's expression, but it was not difficult to guess that she must be extremely happy.

Miao Jian knocked on the door but got no response, so she pushed the door open and walked in. It was quiet and no one was inside.

The two looked at each other for a moment, and she fumbled with the switch to turn on the light, but did not see Shao Xinghan or Tang Feng.

"Where are the people?" Tang Li asked with a frown.

"Call your brother, my phone is out of battery," Miao Jian said.

The two sat on the sofa and waited patiently. When Tang Li called, it turned out that Tang Feng had gone to buy food, while Shao Xinghan was in a meeting.

"How about we go take a look?" Miao Jian was curious about how he was holding meetings now.

"Where to go?" Tang Li asked doubtfully.

"meeting room."

"Can you find it?"

"I seem to remember it being on the lower floor."

The two of them were sneaky and cautious like thieves. As soon as they arrived on that floor, they heard Shao Xinghan's voice, cold and distant, with a bit of anger.

"I think we should wait for my brother and Brother Shao upstairs obediently. I feel a bit scary." Tang Li said with a guilty conscience.

"What are you afraid of? I'm not really asking you to be a thief. Are you afraid that if you go back and wait, I'll take a look and come back." Miao Jian refused.

"Don't you think the sound just now was quite scary?" Tang Li said fearfully.

"It's okay." Miao Jian comforted.

The two of them lowered their bodies, half-crouched and walked forward, stepping lightly. They were both glad that they were wearing flat shoes.

Getting closer and closer to the destination, Tang Li chose to walk behind Miao Jian, pulling her clothes tightly.

"What are you doing?" Miao Jian turned around and asked in a low voice.

"Inexplicable panic." Tang Li replied.

Tang Li's appearance made Miao Jian a little nervous, and now she almost wanted to retreat, as it would be embarrassing if she was discovered.

She wanted to think about it, but she still walked forward honestly. Miao Jian felt that fortunately the curtains in the conference room were drawn down, so she couldn't see outside at all.

Arriving at the door, Miao Jian put her ear close to the door and listened, while you continued to shush him who was restless behind him.

Tang Li looked at the empty space behind and there was a hint of coolness, and she always felt a chill on her back and neck.

Tang Li's legs may have been numb after keeping the same position for too long. She wanted to stand up, but before she could stand, she leaned towards Miao Jian. Miao Jian lost her center of gravity and hit the glass door with her forehead.

"Bang." "Silk."

Miao Jian made a sound of pain, touched her forehead, sat on the ground, and looked at Tang Li with a sad expression.

The door opened without any warning. Shao Xinghan, dressed in a straight suit and leather shoes, looked over with a cold look on his face.

Miao Jian looked at him aggrievedly like a child who had made mistakes and shouted softly: "Brother."

When he saw her little face and heard her voice, all the haze disappeared, and there was a touch of warmth on his face.

"What's wrong?" He squatted down and pulled her up and asked softly.

"I bumped into your door and it hurts me to death." Miao Jian replied, covering her forehead.

"Be good, let me see." He coaxed.

Miao Jian gently let go of her hand, and the side that was covered swelled up and turned red.

He touched it heartbrokenly and said, "Don't touch it. It's all the door's fault. I'll dismantle it next time."

He took Miao Jian's hand, glanced at Tang Li, turned around and said with a cold expression: "Everyone will get off work immediately."

Everyone's hearts, which were almost in despair, suddenly jumped again, and they were all grateful to Miao Jian for coming to save them.

The three of them returned to the office. Tang Li did not dare to look directly at Shao Xinghan all the way. She quietly hid in the corner of the sofa and remained motionless, lowering her head in guilt.

Seeing Shao Xinghan going out, Tang Li immediately raised her head and apologized to Miao Jian: "Miao Miao, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to do it. My feet are numb. I'm sorry."

Miao Jian didn't mean to blame Tang Li and replied with a smile: "It's okay, I don't blame you. I know it's my first time and I'm a little nervous."

Miao Jian's joke suddenly made Tang Li relax a little, and the tight thread gradually loosened.

The door opened again, and Shao Xinghan and Tang Feng came in together, one with food in his hand and the other with an ointment.

"Come on, everyone is hungry, let's eat something first." Tang Feng said with a smile.

Shao Xinghan ignored him, held down Miao Jian who was about to get up and said, "Wipe it before going."

Only then did Tang Feng notice Miao Jian's forehead and asked, "Sister, what bad thing have you done? Your forehead is like this?"

"I don't have much experience in doing bad things the first time, so maybe brother Tang Feng will take charge next time," Miao Jian joked.

"Ahem, this joke can't be made casually." Tang Feng almost drowned at the sound of "brother."

"Ah." Miao Jian called out.

"Don't move." Shao Xinghan said unhappily.

Miao Jian raised her head and looked at this petty man. He just called someone brother and became jealous.

"I'm just kidding," Miao Jian said softly and admitted defeat.

"What?" He deliberately pretended not to understand.

"I only have you as my brother." His voice was small, almost like a kitten begging for mercy after making a mistake.

Shao Xinghan didn't speak, his lips raised, he could express everything.

Tang Feng looked at the two tired people and said a little jealously: "Hey, there are still people here. Can you pay attention to your image? They want to torture us two to death."

"Shut up." He frowned.

"Hey, people of the opposite sex are inhumane. Why don't you just call me brother? Why is this jealousy so strong?" Tang Feng complained.
