Chapter 50: It's His Sister

"Who are you, Mr. Han?" the woman asked.

"This lady said she belongs to Mr. Han..."

"I didn't ask you."

The waitress's words were interrupted by the woman. She quickly stopped talking, lowered her head, shrank her body back as if she was afraid, hid her hands under the front desk, and pulled them together tightly.

Miao Jian looked at this scene, and it seemed that this woman was a young lady who was not easy to mess with.

"Shao Xinghan is my brother, and I am his sister." Miao Jian looked at the woman head-on, her eyes unavoidable and not afraid at all.

The woman seemed to have heard a good joke and snorted coldly, "Oh, these days, there are so many people saying that they are other people's sisters. You are his sister, why don't you see anyone coming to pick you up?"

Miao Jian smiled and said, "I have legs, I don't need anyone to pick them up."

"Stop talking. Unless you come up with clear evidence to prove that you are his sister, there is no way you can take another step forward." The woman explained her words arrogantly.

Miao Jian looked at her. It was definitely impossible for her to go back like this. Just as she was about to take out her mobile phone, the phone at the front desk suddenly rang.

The waitress quickly picked it up and picked it up.

"Hello, Mr. Han." The waitress said softly, her voice sounded very comfortable.

"What do you want from me?" Shao Xinghan asked on the other end of the phone, his voice cold and emotionless.

"It's like this, Mr. Han, a young lady who claims to be your sister is looking for you. She said her name is Miao Jian."

The woman listened to the waiter's words, looked at Miao Jian, and snorted again coldly.

Miao Jian? Even her surname is different, and she claims to be her younger sister. She knows that Shao Xinghan has only one younger sister, Shaoyao. Mr. Han is rarely flirtatious with women, and rarely even talks to female employees like her.

Judging from Miao Jian's appearance, she must be 18 years old at most. Where did she dare to claim to be Mr. Han's sister?

"Ah? You want to come in person?" The waitress couldn't help shouting as if she had heard something terrible.

Miao Jian looked at her and vaguely understood something.

The woman was still unaware of the development of the matter. She just felt that the receptionist was making a fuss and had no etiquette at all. What she said was also strange. She didn't know what she heard.

After the waitress was surprised, her face returned to calm, but she looked at Miao Jian with a slightly surprised expression.

"What did Mr. Han say?" the woman came closer and asked.

"Mr. Han asked Miss Miao to wait for him to come over," the waitress said.

The woman was shocked. She put her hand on the front desk and moved her face closer: "Are you sure you heard right?!"

"No, that's what Mr. Han said." The waitress replied respectfully.

"Miss Miao, Mr. Han hasn't come down yet. Please go sit in the lounge here for a while and I'll get you a glass of water." The waitress said to Miao Jian in an extremely gentle tone.

"No, I'll just wait here for my brother, thank you." Miao Jian declined.

The woman in charge turned green. She looked at Miao Jian, not knowing whether to laugh or cry. Her expression changed again and again.

After a while, Shao Xinghan came down from the office. He was wearing a suit and his tie was neatly tied on the collar of his white shirt. His slender and straight legs were even longer and slimmer against the black suit pants, and his black leather shoes were polished.

It was shiny and made a slight sound when walking on the floor.

"Mr. Han." The supervisor and the front desk lady shouted in unison.

"Yeah." Shao Xinghan responded, but his eyes remained on Miao Jian.

Miao Jian looked at him and kept smiling at him.

The outfit she wore today was extremely youthful and energetic, showing off the best side of a 17-year-old girl without leaving any trace. As soon as Shao Xinghan got out of the elevator and turned this way, he saw Miao Jian at first sight.

Her petite stature is too conspicuous in this place. Compared with these women who love to compare, such Miao Jian is more attractive to him.

"Miaomiao, why didn't you tell me in advance that you were coming to see me? I could pick you up." Shao Xinghan asked with concern.

The supervisor standing aside kept his head down, never daring to look up at Shao Xinghan. Listening to every word Shao Xinghan said, it felt like someone was slapping her hard on the face.

"I know the way, so there's no need to trouble brother." Shao Xinghan walked over and took off the bag from Miao Jian's shoulder, letting him carry it.

"What's the trouble? Let's go and sit in my office for a while." Shao Xinghan carried his bag and led the way, with Miao Jian following behind him.

"Well, I'm a little hungry. I haven't had breakfast yet."

When Miao Jian passed by the supervisor, the woman raised her head slightly and glanced at her. As soon as Miao Jian's eyes met, she immediately looked away again and hurriedly lowered her head.

"Didn't you have breakfast?" Shao Xinghan stopped and looked back at Miao Jian, "Is there anything you want to eat?"

Miao Jian shook his head, "No, I'm just hungry."

"Well, that's good." Shao Xinghan turned around and walked to the front desk, leaned over slightly, said a few words to the lady at the front desk, and then went upstairs with Miao Jian.

It wasn't until Shao Xinghan left that no one was around, that the supervisor raised her head. She saw the waitress at the front desk looking at her. She glared back fiercely, turned around and left on her high heels.

"Is Miaomiao on holiday today?" Shao Xinghan was talking to Miao Jian in the elevator.

"Well, today is a day off." Miao Jian replied.

"How is Chen Liyi's matter?" Shao Xinghan asked again.

"It's nothing, just like usual."

"Is Miaomiao planning to go back to Shao's house today?"

"Well, I haven't been back for a long time. I miss my parents a little bit."

"oh."

Whether it was because they hadn't seen each other for a while or because the sudden meeting was too abrupt, neither of them knew what to say, and the atmosphere in the elevator became awkward.

The elevator stopped and the two came out. Shao Xinghan took Miao Jian to his office.

Since Miao Jian returned to the Miao family, he almost never went back to the Shao family at night. He slept in the office at night.

There was a small cubicle next to the wall of the office, just big enough for one person to sleep, and he spent many nights there.

The office is neither big nor small, and the layout is simple and reasonable. There are some potted plants on the table, including narcissus and lilies.

Miao Jian found a chair and sat down. Her stomach growled, and now she was even hungrier.

There was nothing to eat in Shao Xinghan's office. Miao Jian was just thinking about what to do when a knock on the door interrupted her thinking.

Shao Xinghan hurriedly walked over and opened the door. It was the front desk lady. She came with a bag of things, which was breakfast.

Shao Xinghan closed the door and handed the food to Miao Jian, "You must be hungry. Eat."

Miao Jian was overjoyed and happily said thank you to Shao Xinghan, brother, and then opened the bag.
