Chapter 51 The man who became the center of the world

December 31st, the last day of the year.

Basically, most countries in the world will hold lively celebrations with fireworks and bells as the main theme on this day to offer good wishes for the new year with relatives and friends.

Walking on a brightly lit London avenue, the young man in robes, who was over two meters tall, had his hair dyed red, but looked quite young, turned his head and sighed gloomily.

Although his colleagues have recently told him in private that he does not look like he is fourteen years old, he is not yet particular about such a trivial matter.

The reason why he was so distressed that even a beautiful Scottish ballad could not restore his good mood was all because of that woman.

(…Supreme Bishop?)

With a helpless tone, the boy named 'Stiyl Magnus' called the leader of the church to which he belonged through the communication amulet.

Out of caution, their conversation was not conducted in an ordinary way.

If it's a 'suitable' occasion, you don't have to worry about this kind of problem at all.

Steele's mood was written all over his face.

Unfortunately, the latter did not understand this trouble at all, and still hummed a tune and went his own way, enjoying the happy festive atmosphere, and stopped in front of the display counter of the nearby store.

The TV channel above is broadcasting live footage of the Queen delivering a congratulatory message.

Who would have thought that this girl who looks like she is 17 or 18 years old would have amazing power and maintain a good relationship with Her Majesty the Queen on TV.

Laura Stewart.

One of the three major sects of the old Christian sect, the actual leader of the "Church of Necessary Evil", the 0th Holy Parish of the British Puritan Church.

Unfortunately, in Steele's eyes, her behavior was simply beyond respectable.

"Tsk."

There was no response to the question, which made this talented rune magician who had to "muck around" with his boss on New Year's Eve even more irritated.

Biting something harmful that should be banned at his age, Steele walked up to Laura with a stern face and repeated what he just said at a louder volume several times.

(Supreme Bishop!)

"Eh eh eh?!"

The sudden 'noise' shook her brain, causing Laura to lower her body and cover her ears.

After calming down, she noticed the tall figure blocking her face and pouted like an ordinary little girl.

(Steele! What is it that disturbs me so much?)

Using nondescript island dialect, Laura complained dissatisfiedly.

She does not use her mother tongue to communicate in the language of other countries. According to her own words, this is a necessary practice to facilitate future communication with the higher-ups on the scientific side.

But did this guy hire the wrong teacher?

Not having the energy to correct this problem for the time being, Steele followed the girl in the monastic uniform who was walking again and continued the topic that was just halfway discussed.

(Supreme Bishop, regarding what you just said... the new "saint" who caused the changes in the Great Cathedral has been found?)

Being involved in someone who could change the world's power structure, Steele's expression became cautious.

This was supposed to be an important meeting at St. George's Cathedral, but it ended up being turned into this kind of "street gossip" because of someone's willful behavior of talking to himself, which made people somewhat dumbfounded.

(Well... to be precise, it's just possible.)

(?)

There was a rare uncertainty in Laura's words. She took a brisk step and looked at the rising fireworks.

However, Steele had no intention of admiring the beautiful scenery.

Feeling the stinging and oppressive gaze behind her, Laura asked as if she was preparing to explain the answer.

(Steele, do you know how many "saints" there are in Northern Europe now?)

This question made the tall boy frown.

"Saints" are already rare. When did we reach a point where we could limit the number by using a range?

Unlike her subordinates who were seriously considering the seriousness of the matter, the girl who was the supreme bishop showed a smile as if she was watching a good show.

(Combining the records of the Great Cathedral and the investigation report, it is quite lively there now!)

She tilted her head and counted them one by one with great interest.

(Brünhilde Ektebel, a Nordic mythology magician born in Finland.)

(The reason for entering the country is unknown, and she is a royal guard maid who is studying abroad, Sylvia.)

(There are also the top ten magicians in London, Kanzaki Kaori, who belongs to our Puritan Church.)

(Plus the new one...)

No need for Laura to explain further, Steele felt tremendous pressure just listening to it.

How is this going?!

He knew where Kanzaki was currently performing his mission, but what was the situation of the remaining few.

At a time when no one knew it, nearly a quarter of the saints gathered in one corner of the world?!

This is no joke, even if they do nothing, the news alone is enough to have an astonishing 'chain reaction'.

The things that Steele was worried about were almost the same as those of other high-ranking powerful people who knew this information.

so……

(Steele, could you please come as my agent?)

The commission that I least wanted to hear rang in my ears.

Looking at that smiling face that was full of trust or malice, Steele exhaled a breath full of smoke.

That's enough.

The young man couldn't help but elongate his face.

But not long after, an indescribable softness flashed through his eyes.

At least for him, this mission was ten thousand times better than hunting down 'that kid'.

Without him and Kanzaki, 'that kid' should be able to live a good year, right?

Looking at the supreme bishop not far away, all that was left was Steele's indescribable silence.

***********

The sun rises in the east and the moon sets in the west.

The brown-haired girl walked through snow that reached her ankles.

Feeling the New Year atmosphere from far away in her heart, Zella welcomed the first ray of sunshine in the morning with a smile.

In order not to reveal her destination prematurely and to adapt to her new body, she is traveling in the most primitive way.

Although the impact was kept to a minimum, since she borrowed the magic system of this world, it was almost certain that her appearance would be noticed.

But now she has passed the stage where she needs to look forward and backward at every step. As long as the "Devil God" does not take action, she can advance or retreat in this world according to the situation.

Of course, with so much experience and experience, her way of thinking has long since matured, and she will not be so arrogant as to think that she is invincible under the "Demon God".

The "world" is very big.

She looked in a certain direction with a meaningful gaze.

Definitely sure.

But sometimes, the world is too small.

If you want to ask why...

Zella's footsteps stopped at a dirty corner.

Looking at the half-conscious figure lying on the ground, she sighed and lowered her head.

"...I really don't know whether I should say you are lucky or unlucky."

With that said, she half-crouched down and tried some healing magic that she wasn't good at.

"Are you still alive, Brunhilde?"

she asked.

Then, the scarred fingers moved slightly.
