Chapter 5 Miss Reporter

After spending a whole morning's commitment, Karl finally succeeded in calming down the intense Ceryl.

It seems that Cyril is also very wary of Nyarlathotep, who has the same white hair attribute as herself and is even more beautiful than herself.

When the time reached noon and the sun had illuminated the earth outside the window, there was a knock on their door.

"Miss Wallace?"

"Are you up? Are you going to post today's manuscript?"

A young-sounding female voice appeared outside the door, and she came specifically to remind Ceryl to hand in her manuscript.

For her current status, this is a very normal thing. The only thing that caught Karl's attention was what did Ms. Wallace mean?

Facing Karl's questioning look, Seliel immediately replied in a low voice:

"This is my alias. Otherwise, if we are discovered, you may be taken away by some mysterious guy, and you might do some damn experiments!"

"..."

"Then it's really not easy for you."

"You still need to tell me?"

Ceryl rolled her eyes at Karl, then rubbed her hair and walked towards the door.

As she reached out to open the door, her originally stunningly beautiful appearance immediately transformed into an inconspicuous girl. Her unkempt brown hair and thick dark circles were very consistent with her status as a war correspondent.

After opening the door, Cyril said to the girl outside the door in a tone that sounded like she had just woken up.

"Dina, I won't hand in today's manuscript yet..."

Halfway through her words, Seliel suddenly stood there silently, not knowing what she was thinking.

Seeing Cyril's sudden silence, the girl who came to her at the door to ask for a manuscript asked with some confusion:

"What's wrong?"

"Any questions?"

"If it's too late for the manuscript, I can help you. It's not the first time anyway..."

"Dina, come here."

Just when the girl was about to continue saying something, Cyril pinched her wrist and then forcefully dragged the girl into the room.

So, the girl named Dana and Carl saw each other.

Judging from her appearance, the girl named Dana is not a beauty. She has the same yellowish hair as Cyril, which is styled into two braids and hangs down on both sides of her chest. The sporadic freckles on her face are hidden in a pair of braids.

Simple round glasses underneath.

Speaking of first impressions, except for a slight literary temperament, she is almost a girl living in the country.

However, in Dana's eyes, Karl's image was different.

He has been in a coma and has not even been in the sun under Cyril's care. This has resulted in his skin now having an obvious tenderness, making him look very much like a pampered aristocratic child.

Under the background of the temperament cultivated in the dream world adventure, Karl's originally not ugly face now has the temperament of a leader, which has very conspicuously created his personal charm.

So of course, Dana was stunned.

Looking at the girl's appearance, Karl felt mixed emotions for a moment.

Normally, those who use their appearance to attract attention are usually the work of the inhuman and beautiful girls around him. Unexpectedly, today he actually experienced this kind of treatment.

To be honest, it feels pretty good?

Fortunately, Karl's charm was not as exaggerated as that of the evil god Naiya. After being stunned for a moment, Dana came to her senses.

"ah!"

Her face flushed red, and then she exclaimed as if she noticed something.

Shaking her head back and forth and constantly looking at Karl and Cyril, Dana then said in a somewhat hurried tone:

"You, you..."

"Okay, don't think blindly."

Seeing her friend's dreamy look, Seliel went over and pressed her shoulder.

"Dina, I have something very important to tell you today. Calm down and listen to me carefully."

Seeing Seriel's serious look, Dana immediately nodded her head like a chicken pecking at rice. Her eyes were full of curiosity, and she almost gave her half a watermelon to taste the sweetness of the melon.

"Yeah, yeah."

With Dana nodding crazily, Cyril said:

"Actually, my real name is Ceryl, and the one here is Carl."

"Wallace is just my pseudonym."

"well!"

As soon as she opened her mouth, Dana was so shocked by Ceryl's news that she opened her mouth wide, with the word "surprise" clearly written between her eyebrows.

"Why did you..."

"Watch it."

Before Dana could finish asking her question, Cyril immediately took over the right to speak, and then removed her disguise in front of her friends and returned to her original appearance of astonishing beauty.

"..."

"Extraordinary?"

But this time, Dana's serious surprise and curiosity disappeared.

Faced with Cyril's ability to change her appearance and body shape, she didn't seem too surprised. Instead, she began to feel a little depressed. It seemed that Cyril's status as a transcendent did not bring her any good emotions.

"Dina, listen." Seeing her friend in this state, Cyril immediately stared at him with her eyes and said in a serious tone, "I am different from those damn war wolves. The reason why I am anonymous

Just to take care of Carl."

"You should understand, right? How dangerous is it for someone who was a transcendent before [the Day of Creation]?"

"is that so?"

Listening to Cyril's explanation, Dana's eyes began to soften, but the alertness and depression still did not disappear.

"Do I need to lie to you?"

After asking Dana a question, Cyril continued:

"I originally changed my life because of this guy Karl. Now that this guy has woken up, I naturally won't stay here anymore."

After hearing the meaning of Ceryl's words, Dana finally had a different reaction.

Realizing that her friend was about to leave her, she finally asked eagerly:

"Are you leaving now?"

"Yes." She nodded without any hesitation, and then extended her invitation to Dana: "Dena, do you want to come with us?"

"With the care of extraordinary beings, you can live a good life. I can absolutely guarantee this."

"..."

Faced with Cyril's sudden invitation, Dana was silent.

After standing there with her head lowered and thinking for nearly a minute, the girl raised her head again.

"No, Hua...Celile, I want to stay here and continue working. The work of a war reporter is indispensable. Someone must ensure that news on the battlefield can be sent back to the country in time for the public to know.

That nightmare-like scene cannot happen again."

"I see."

Seeing the firm light in Dana's eyes when she rejected her, Cyril nodded and stopped trying to persuade her.

Then the god smiled brightly and issued another invitation:

"Then let's stay and have lunch together."
