Chapter 15: The Victorious Glock

Things just got worse and worse.

The number of judges around him continues to increase, and Rick is constantly making noises here like a hard-working bee, intending to directly provoke the higher-status judges and deal with Grouk, a guy who has violated the rules.

So when Grouch's face became increasingly ugly and Karl became more and more expectant, a higher-level judge was finally attracted by the noisy corridor.

"What are you doing?"

"Are you noisy enough to stop working?"

"grown ups!"

Hearing the sound, Rick immediately rushed over there and introduced what happened here in an earnest tone:

"Did you know that this guy Grouch actually arrested an ordinary person and brought him to the headquarters?"

"This is a serious violation of the rules and regulations!"

"ha?"

After hearing Rick's introduction, the judge also realized that something was not right. He immediately walked towards Grouk in the crowd and shouted loudly:

"Glock, what stupid thing did you do again!"

"How can we extraordinary beings interfere..."

"put one's oar in......"

"Karl!"

Just when the judge bypassed the crowd and was about to come over and deal with Grouk severely.

Behind the crowd, Karl's figure also came into view.

The tone that was still menacing just now suddenly became soft and weak, and Karl could even hear a trace of trembling in it.

While calling out Karl's name, the judge also subconsciously placed his hand on the handle of the pistol at his waist. It was obvious that Karl's appearance made him emotionally unstable.

However, looking at the nervous judge, Karl asked with a smile:

"Are you going to fight me?"

"ah!"

Karl's words frightened the judge and he took a step back. After realizing the meaning of Karl's words, he quickly took his hand away from the pistol.

"No, no, no, how could I possibly want to fight with you."

Seeing that Karl in front of him seemed to have no ill intentions, the judge, like Grouk before, walked over with an earnest expression:

"Mr. Carl, why didn't you send a telegram to the adjudicators in advance when you returned to England? Isn't this why I was a little surprised when I suddenly saw you coming?"

Seeing the judge behaving like this, Karl couldn't help but sigh in his heart.

Unexpectedly, just a few years after leaving, the judges in London would become like this.

Sure enough, the full recovery of the ether has seriously reduced the average quality of extraordinary people, so much so that even such guys can now hold high positions.

In just a few hours since I returned to England, most of the first-stage Talisman Judges I saw were Grouk, who had just entered the profession and had not yet gotten rid of the thinking of ordinary people.

And the only second-stage talisman judge I saw, the guy in front of me, was almost like a bear.

Is this still the judicial institution where elites of extraordinary beings from all over the world gather together and have the most powerful mysterious power of mankind?

Even the more elite first-level talisman holders in the past could probably leapfrog the challenge and kill this second-level guy, right?

Shaking his head, Karl was not in the mood to talk to these guys anymore.

Pointing at the bald man being held down by Mason, Karl said with an indifferent expression:

"This guy is a second-stage talisman holder. His current known ability is that he can change his appearance. Now that his magic power has been blocked by me, you should deal with it as soon as possible."

"Phase 2?"

Seeing Karl's expression, the judge in front of him had no doubt whether Karl was deceiving him, and immediately shouted with absolute conviction:

"Aimula, Rhine, you two push this guy down, I want to go with Mr. Karl..."

"Come on."

Seeing that the judge still wanted to get close to him, Karl said without any mercy:

"I don't have time to waste time here. Is there anyone in charge who you can talk to? I'll talk to him directly."

"..."

There was a moment of obvious astonishment, and then the judge in front of Carl endured it after his eyes changed drastically.

Quickly changing his expression, the guy said enthusiastically:

"Please, please, I will show you the way."

After nodding, Karl said nothing more and just followed the judge and continued walking inside.

Grouk, who stayed where he was, finally got rid of the predicament just now, and even showed a winner's expression to Rick, smiling meaningfully.

On the other end, Karl, led by the judge, quickly arrived at the second floor of the building, and then stopped in front of an office door.

Bang, bang, bang.

He stretched out his hand and knocked respectfully on the door, and then the judge said:

"Lord Hobbes?"

Immediately, a relatively young male voice behind the door responded to him.

"Come in."

After pushing open the door and entering the room, before Karl could take a closer look at the so-called person in charge, a guy dressed as an adjudicator stood up from the office chair.

"Mr. Carl!"

Calling Karl's name accurately, he walked around from behind the desk without hesitation and stood directly in front of Karl.

"Lady Joanna has long said that you will not die in that place, and sure enough, you still came back!"

I think I’ve seen this person before?

Looking at the judge standing in front of him, Karl was very sure that this guy was not Joanna or Esil, but a judge he had seen before.

After contacting the name that the guy shouted when he knocked on the door just now, Carl finally found this guy named Hobbes in the corner of his memory.

That was a judge he met at the headquarters of the Judgment Agency under Westminster Abbey when he was still being punished in London and participating in the patrol of judges. If I remember correctly, this guy was still a second-stage talisman holder at the time.

There are some who can be regarded as the true combat elites of the Judgment Agency.

So looking at the man in front of him, Karl also said:

"I'm also quite surprised. I didn't expect that after not seeing each other for a few years, Hobbes, you would actually become the judge."

Hearing Karl's compliment, Hobbes immediately showed a bright smile:

"Isn't it thanks to your success in killing the evil god and restoring the ether around the world that I was able to reach this point?"

"Otherwise, I'm afraid I still have a long way to go before I can master the third-stage talisman."

Looking at Hobbes with a sincere expression, Carl could feel that the other person's feelings were not just a social perfunctory one, but a genuine gratitude for what he had done.

So Karl nodded without any pretense, found a seat in the office and sat down.

"Actually, I have been trapped in one place for the past few years, and I just escaped a few days ago."

"If you don't mind, could you tell me what's going on in London and the judicial system now?"
