Chapter 35 I'm Fighting With You!

Karl and Cyril simply gave up exploring the lawn and began to follow the group of children, arriving at Orpington, a town not far from the forest.

Because it was already dark, every household had already lit up their night lights and were doing their last activities before falling asleep.

After bringing Karl to a house, the child king pointed to a bright window in front of him and said:

"This is it."

"My mother is still waiting for me, so I will go back first."

"Go ahead, little one."

After patting the child king on the shoulder, Karl watched the child disappear on the street before walking to the door and knocking on the door very politely.

Bang, bang, bang.

"Is anyone home?"

"Who?"

What responded to Karl was a somewhat old female voice.

It seems different from the Brother Green that Kid King mentioned. There is no so-called Green living here?

After all, Green doesn't appear to be a woman's name.

Then, as the door opened, an old-looking woman appeared in front of Karl from the crack in the door.

With a trace of doubt in her eyes, the woman spoke warily:

"Who are you two here to see?"

"Green, we are here to find Mr. Green."

Without waiting for Karl to answer, Cyril took the initiative to respond to the old woman's question.

"Green."

After hearing these words from Ceryl, a hint of understanding appeared on the old woman's face, and then she finally opened the door of her home completely.

"The kid went to London before. Do you have anything to do with him?"

Entering the room through the door at the reception of the old lady, Karl first looked at the surrounding decorations.

Apart from some necessary furniture and daily necessities, there seems to be no extra decoration in this house. It looks like a normal residence for ordinary people, and the financial means is not that of a wealthy family.

After Green's experience that night, it seems that he has not realized his abilities in the past few days, or that his extraordinary abilities cannot be transformed into actual benefits?

Otherwise, no matter what, you wouldn’t let your house be like this with bare walls, right?

With such doubts, Karl then answered the old woman's question:

"Actually, I lost something very important on the lawn beside the woods outside the city. Later I heard that Mr. Green spent the night there not long ago, so we came to ask if he had any clues."

"Did you lose something..."

After hearing Karl's reasons, the old woman walked to the table in the living room and sat down, and then said with a trace of memory in her eyes:

"That kid Green did spend the night outside not long ago. I originally thought he was lying to me."

As she spoke, the old woman raised her water glass and took a sip.

"From the day the child came back, I felt something was wrong."

"The next afternoon, I hurried to London. I guess this has something to do with what you said, sir."

Having said this, a trace of loneliness slowly appeared on the old lady's face.

"Although our family doesn't have much money, I still feel sorry for you about this kind of thing."

"Although it is said to be something picked up, in the final analysis we did something wrong."

"Let me apologize to you first for that guy Green..."

As she spoke, the old woman stood up tremblingly from the chair and was about to salute and apologize to Karl.

"You don't have to do this!"

Seeing that his casual excuse had caused a lot of trouble to others, Karl immediately walked over and supported the old woman's body, pushing her back to her seat without any explanation.

"Madam, the things I lost may not have been taken by Mr. Green. After all, there are many days, and it may have been taken by others."

"We came here just to make inquiries and see if there is any chance of getting the things back. We have no intention of raising any charges."

"ah....."

After hearing what Karl said, the old woman was stunned for a moment before saying with complicated eyes:

"You are such a good person."

"..."

That is, I am indeed a good person.

Thinking this in his mind, and looking at the old woman in front of him, Karl finally decided to cut the knot quickly and end these useless conversations.

So he said simply and neatly:

"I don't know when Mr. Green will come back. In fact, I am quite busy at work. I will go back to work after I deal with this problem."

"Green."

In response to Karl's inquiry, the old woman answered without any concealment:

"This kid usually goes to London to work hard to make money. When he encounters a good job, he may not go home for several days. There is no certainty about this."

Well, if you want to find someone to find your love, you will eventually have to go back to London to find someone.

Then wouldn’t my trip be in vain?

Not knowing what to say, Karl finally made a simple decisive decision:

"So be it."

"Tell me where Green is looking for work in London, and I will look for him when I get back."

"This kid Green usually follows Mr. Raymondston."

"Thank you, ma'am."

"Then we won't bother you."

After getting this answer, Karl didn't intend to bother the old woman anymore. After all, it wasn't easy to see her like this.

Taking Cyril with them, they quickly left the room and returned to the streets of Orpington.

"Celile, how are you?"

Walking slowly on the main city road leading to London, Karl suddenly asked this question.

"Although that little girl is hiding something, overall the information she gave is quite credible. We can follow her clues to find this Greene."

"There will be results."

"Little girl..."

Hearing what Ceryl said, Karl couldn't help but look at the gods around him.

Although he could understand the huge age difference between the two, it was still a little hard to accept that Ceryl stared at this appearance and called the old woman "little girl".

Sensing the mixed emotions in Karl's eyes, Cyril jumped away from Karl in an instant, and asked loudly with very wary eyes:

"What do you want to do!"

"Karl, let me tell you first, stop treating me like a child!"

"..."

Looking at Cyril's appearance, Karl felt that he seemed to have grasped the weakness of this god.

Speaking of which, this was the first time that Cyril had such a big reaction to the way he bullied her.

In the past, when the relationship between the two was at its most tense, this god never showed such obvious disgust and nervousness.

Then, a very interesting idea appeared in Carl's mind.

Relying on his much stronger physical fitness than Cyril, Karl grabbed Cyril and let this guy ride on his neck just like a father taking his child to watch a show.

Then, on the road outside Orpington, a very miserable voice shouted;

"Karl, I'll fight you!"
