In the world, everyone regards Mount Emei as the monastery of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. Of the four Buddhist monasteries, Mount Emei is the farthest to the west. According to the order, Wuxu and Duoji should go from Wutai Mountain to Jiuhua Mountain first, and then go westward.
Go to Mount Emei. But because Mount Jiuhua is now within Zhu Yuanzhang’s sphere of influence,
From north to south of Wutai Mountain, you have to pass through Yingtian Mansion. Therefore, Wuxu and Duoji had a tacit understanding and chose to go to Mount Emei first to visit the Samantabhadra Dojo. Otherwise, they would pass by Yingtian Mansion and be seen.
Or maybe the two of them saw something and couldn't guarantee that they wouldn't show up and stop there.
There are thousands of miles between Mount Wutai and Mount Emei. Wuxu and Duoji each sacrificed their Dharma realms and walked in the air. They looked at the Yuan army, Chen Youliang's Han army, and Ming Yuzhen's Xia army moving slowly everywhere under their feet.
There is a vague feeling like squatting in a corner and watching ants move when I was a kid.
Then he chanted, "The spiritual vultures fly up to make the Dharma world bright, and the human world is full of ants." Duoji then said, "Mountains, mountains and rivers all have feelings. Put down the butcher knife and see the beautiful scenery."
The two of them traveled thousands of miles with each passing day, and things were spinning like a revolving lantern under their feet. During this period, there were beautiful mountains and rivers, the beautiful scenery of flowers blooming and the moon setting, and there were also various scenes of happiness and tragedy in the world. They passed by in a flash, but they were still vivid in their eyes. They came one after another, but they were like
The tide goes out.
Wuxu then chanted again, "In an instant, we are separated, and sadness and joy come together and disperse." Duoji then reconciled, "Wanting to fight seems to have no good intentions, but being sentimental is annoyed by ruthlessness."
"Haha, I didn't expect that my senior brother is a passionate person." Wuxu said with a smile.
"Wanting to fight seems to have no good intentions, being passionate but being ruthlessly annoyed" is a line from Yuan Dynasty's "The Romance of the West Chamber". Duoji is used here, and Wuxu naturally understands it, and it seems to have the meaning of faintly persuading himself. Therefore, instead, take the initiative first
He is said to be a passionate person.
Duoji smiled slightly, as if he couldn't resist Wuxu's joke. He hurriedly put his hands together and lowered his eyebrows. He was wearing a fresh plain monk's robe and his slightly red face, like a lotus in the wind or a flower in the rain.
The two of them went like this and arrived at the foot of Mount Emei unknowingly.
Mount Emei, Samantabhadra Dojo.
The former Manjushri Bodhisattva's monastery, Wutai Mountain, is said to be the Golden Five Platforms. It seems that in the human world, there are four great monasteries and four great Bodhisattvas, with Mount Wutai, headed by Manjushri Bodhisattva.
This is just a saying in the human world.
Manjushri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva stand on the left and right of Sakyamuni Buddha. The three are collectively called the "Three Huayan Saints". In the final analysis, to be more superficial, the three are actually Buddhas and saints. They just manifested according to circumstances during countless kalpas.
, just to save the world. The so-called
, Manjushri Bodhisattva is the mother of all Buddhas, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is the eldest son of all Buddhas and Dharma Kings, which is also a convenient metaphor. In terms of the distinction between mother and son in the world, people say that Manjushri Bodhisattva is the largest and most incredible among the four great Bodhisattvas. Wutai Mountain is also Jintai Mountain.
But it's a sign.
In fact, Manjushri Bodhisattva focuses on wisdom, and Samantabhadra focuses on wishes. Wisdom and wishes are separate and independent of me, the Buddha. This is just a metaphor for the integration of wisdom and wishes and cannot be separated. Faith is wish. The so-called learning of Buddhism requires faith.
There is a solution, yes.
How to understand? It’s easy to understand.
Dear readers, who were born in New China and grew up under the red flag, you must have heard this sentence more or less, "The more knowledge you have, the more reactionary you are."
The saying "the more knowledge you have, the more reactionary you are" actually has a premise, that is, your stance is wrong.
The position is wrong, and the more knowledge you have, the more reactionary you will become.
This stance is what do you believe in? Do you believe that color means emptiness means color, or do you believe that people will be destroyed if they don’t care for themselves? Do you believe that labor is the most glorious, or do you believe that having money means being a great person?
This stance is the wish: do you want to save all sentient beings, or do you want to feed one person and keep the whole family from going hungry? Do you want to liberate all the oppressed and exploited proletarians in the world, or do you want to be a big landlord, big capitalist, and big bureaucrat?
The above is an analogy that you are familiar with: "the more knowledge you have, the more reactionary you are."
Manjushri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva serve on the left and right of the Buddha, which means that if you have great wisdom, you must also have righteous faith and righteous aspirations; conversely, if you have righteous faith and righteous aspirations, you must also have great wisdom. Only in this way can you become a Buddha.
.
It's like, you want to liberate the world, but you are mentally retarded and S/B, then in the end, I'm afraid you won't be able to do it. If you are very smart, but you think about money/money all day long, then,
In the end, being smart is just an elf, and you are just pretending to be smart. I'm afraid you can't withstand the temptation. In the end, your cleverness is misled by your cleverness, leading you astray, harming others and yourself.
Speaking of this, you readers will probably think of a word that makes your ears ring with numbness, the comprehensive development of morality, intelligence and body. Well, the comprehensive development of morality and wisdom is like the integration of wisdom and will in Buddhism. And the so-called merit,
It also has a similar meaning.
Of course, the above are just analogies and metaphors. Wisdom in Buddhism refers to great wisdom and true wisdom. The so-called eight consciousnesses and ordinary wisdom are just the product of the consciousness in the eight consciousnesses, and the so-called consciousness is just the six impure roots.
It is a combination of past karma. Belief does not mean that you are superstitious.
There is no end to this. It cannot be said. It cannot be said. Let’s stop here. Amitabha, that’s good, that’s good.
The main reason why Xiaosheng writes in this way is to explain that the four great Bodhisattvas, regardless of their superiority or inferiority, should not have a different mind to distinguish between different aspects. It is also a way to praise Samantabhadra Bodhisattva for the fulfillment of his ten wishes. It is also a reason to praise Mahayana Buddhism.
Bodhisattva's heart and universal wisdom vows. It is also based on this, praising the immeasurable merits of having a kind heart and making righteous vows.
This is also some of the deep thoughts in Wuxu's heart after flying down from the sky and standing at the foot of Mount Emei.
With this contemplation, Wuxu and Duoji slowly climbed up the stairs. When they arrived at Samantabhadra Temple, they faced the statue of Samantabhadra sitting on a white elephant in the main hall, holding Ruyi in his hand and wearing a crown on his head, respectfully.
Salute. Because Duoji was a Lamaist monk, he solemnly performed the ritual again, and then he and Wuxu respectfully exited and walked towards the Xingyuan Building behind the main hall.
When they arrived at the Xingyuan Tower, Wuxu and Duoji each put their palms together and bowed, making silent wishes.
When they reached the top of the mountain, they walked silently, amid the golden light of the vast sea of clouds. As they walked, they looked at the devout believers in the temples on the mountain, burning incense and worshiping.
Reciting and upholding Samantabhadra's enlightenment, he recited, "Samantabhadra Bodhisattva's wishes are boundless to protect all sentient beings with good thoughts. Good thoughts are boundless and auspicious clouds rise, and golden light shines in front of our eyes." Dorje Hedao said, "Auspicious clouds boundless and golden light appear, it turns out that all sentient beings have good intentions.
Think about it. Suddenly, it is like a spring breeze coming overnight, and the wind and clouds surge to the horizon."
Wuxu turned sideways and glanced at Duoji. Duoji was neither sad nor happy. He kept reciting the Buddha's name and slowly flew towards the distance. When he stopped, he was looking at the land below.
Wuxu, who was slowly catching up, looked down, and saw a man and a woman walking down the stone path. They occasionally picked mountain flowers, smiled at the clouds rolling in, snuggled up, and laughed softly, meandering in.
A temple. The man and woman entered the temple and came to the main hall. After burning incense and worshiping, they held hands intimately.
They walked hand in hand in the temple, walking briskly among the flowers and plants, and finally came to a side hall under a towering camphor tree. The two looked at each other and smiled at the door of the side hall, then walked in, silenced their faces, and knelt down in front of the temple.
On the futon, I clasped my hands together and muttered something. What I was reciting was "The Practical Vows of Samantabhadra".
Wuxu and Puxian paused for a moment above, and saw a stream of wish power rising from the heads of the two people below, like clouds and light, floating up to the sky, and shining into the two people's dharma realm.
Wuxu could see with his eyes that the power of wishes that entered his Dharma Realm immediately dissipated. He couldn't help but suddenly realized that now that his Dharma Realm was dead and there was no deity, it was difficult for him to receive the power of wishes from living beings. Looking at Duoji again, he saw that the power that was difficult to see with the naked eye
Willingness
, but he walked around Duoji's Dharma Realm and then disappeared in the air. Just as he was about to speak, Duoji said in surprise, "Junior brother, the deity of Dharma Realm is Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, and he has received the power to take back the vow to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. It's true that
It’s Cihang Pudu.”
"Isn't it possible?" On Wutai Mountain, Guanyin Bodhisattva suddenly appeared in Wuxu's Dharma Realm, causing Duoji to mistakenly think that Wuxu's Dharma Realm deity was Guanyin Bodhisattva. Wuxu knew there was something different, but it was hard to explain. At this moment, Duoji said this
, then he asked in confusion according to Duoji’s words.
"Of course it is possible." Duoji said in deep thought, and then explained some of the whole story to Wuxu Ting. The monks in the Lamaist Dharma Realm each have their own deity. There are believers who make vows to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. If their hearts are sincere, the power of the vows will be transformed.
Now, monks in the Dharma Realm can receive one or two corresponding to the deity they practice. After receiving it, they must follow the dharma and precepts to fulfill their wishes. Just now, the man and woman below are chanting and reciting.
"Samantabhadra's Practicing Vows" is about making vows to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. The deity of the Dharma Realm is Manjushri Bodhisattva's Dorje, so it avoids the power of those vows. However, if Wuxuuo is the deity of the Dharma Realm, he is practicing Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, not Samantabhadra.
Bodhisattva, generally speaking, you should also avoid those vows. If you have received them, you should fulfill the wishes of this man and woman on behalf of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and then recite, recite, and dedicate them to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.
Wuxu listened silently. After understanding that the power of vows and thoughts can strengthen the deity of the Dharma Realm and even benefit the Dharma Realm itself, it is not difficult to understand this unwritten rule in Lamaism explained by Duoji. It is like, by the river
Some people want to cross the river,
When you get on the boat and respectfully give him money to cross the river, but you are not the boatman, but you accept the money, then you have the responsibility to hold the oar and row the boat to send this person across the river, and you must also thank the real boatman; because
You have benefited from being a boatman.
Wuxu smiled, put his palms together and bowed to the Samantabhadra statue in the side hall of the temple below, and then asked Duoji, "So, Wuxu must go down and protect these two donors."
Duoji also smiled and said, "That's exactly it."
Immediately, Wuxu and Duoji flew down, concealed their true colors, pretended to be two tourists, entered the temple, and walked towards the side hall.
Standing at the door, I heard the woman murmuring a wish in a low voice, "May the Bodhisattva bless us and we will always be united and grow old together."
Wuxu had a look of embarrassment on his face and secretly sent a message to Duoji, "Am I going to be a moon-old man for the rest of my life?" Duoji, however, was quite experienced and replied with a smile, "I will always obey all sentient beings. Unless the Bodhisattva has attained the forbearance of the non-born Dharma, there is no way for me to do so."
We can do it. We can only adapt to the situation and try our best. Junior brother, just look at me." As he said that, he raised his right hand, and a pair of jade bracelets flew in front of the man and woman, glowing with a faint milky white color in the air.
Guanghua.
The man and the woman were surprised and happy. Dorje pointed his finger, and the fingers of the Samantabhadra Buddha statue in the side hall shot out a white light, hitting the pair of jade bracelets. The pair of jade bracelets touched together gently,
They made a clear and sweet sound, then flew apart, but closely followed each other, like a phoenix pursuing a phoenix, hovering in the air for a moment, and then each flew to the wrists of the man and woman.
Wuxu could see clearly that the pair of jade bracelets, which had been blessed by Dorje, had the effect of calming the mind, exorcising evil spirits, and attracting each other. Now they were placed on the hands of these two people, which not only increased longevity and safety, but also made the two of them closer to each other.
He immediately smiled and put his palms together towards Dorje.
At this time, in the side hall, the man and woman almost cried with joy. On the futon, they chanted and recited Samantabhadra Bodhisattva even more devoutly.
Duoji faced Wuxu, returned the greeting with a smile and said, "Lovers will eventually get married. Junior brother, let's go back to Samantabhadra Bodhisattva."
Wuxu and Duoji immediately joined each other in the Dharma Realm, with their hands bound outwards, their two middle fingers held together and erect, forming the Samantabhadra Seal of Samantabhadra, and reciting the mantra of Samantabhadra in their mouths.
After a while, Wuxu saw a Buddha statue, riding a white elephant, wearing a golden crown on his head and holding Ruyi in his hand, dimly appearing in the Dharma Realm. Wuxu knew that he was in the dojo of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, taking the seal of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, chanting
The mantra of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva naturally resonated with the Dharma Realm and had this strange appearance. He then moved towards the dim statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva that appeared in the Dharma Realm and saluted with his palms together.
At this time, many people came over in an endless stream because they heard that Samantabhadra Bodhisattva appeared here. They hurried past Wuxu and Duoji and walked into the side hall. They bowed their heads and bowed. Those who came after came.
Kneel down and worship outside the side hall or even outside the temple, chanting the name of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva.
After a while, a lot of wish power poured into Wuxu's Dharma Realm. By the time Wuxu felt something was wrong, spread his hand seals and stopped chanting, his Dharma Realm was already like a pool full of water, and his wish power was like a tide.
Everywhere.
These wishes are the deepest wishes in the hearts of those who ask for them. No matter what the people they ask for say or what they say in their hearts, Wuxu will use their wishes to achieve the goal.
His deepest and truest wishes and thoughts can be seen clearly. If he associates with them a little bit, it will be like seeing all kinds of things in the world, tasting all the warmth and coldness of the world, and gaining insight into the good and evil of human nature.
Seeing this, Wuxu felt sympathy, pity, helplessness, sadness, anger, and admiration in his heart.
Some seek marriage, some seek wealth, wealth and longevity, get together, and get along, but they don't get what they want. There are also some who are as big as sesame seeds, as small as mung beans, trivial, or even household matters that are difficult for upright officials to deal with.
Of course, there are those who want three wives and four concubines, those who want others to die a good death, and those who want something for nothing. There are even scholars who want to beg the widow next door, there are old people who want to have a noble son, and there are parents who want to seize other people's property.
These thoughts of good and bad wishes are large and small, numerous, messy, diverse, and bizarre. It is dizzying and dizzying to see. Especially the ignorant ones, the greedy ones, the vicious ones, the insidious ones, and the ugly ones.
Those evil things make Wuxu feel disgusted and cause nameless fire. He is about to move the Dharma Realm and extinguish it, but he is concerned about those who are lonely, humble, suffering, kind, and innocent. That is pitiful and deplorable.
Admirable willingness.
Some people traveled thousands of miles just to pray for the recovery of their loving mother who had been bedridden for many years; some people were in tears because they were forced by the gangsters to destroy their families and leave their wives and children; some people had their hands full of calluses, but they just prayed for a good harvest this year, paid the land rent, and some
There is a surplus of food; some people are frowning, just looking forward to the early return of their husbands, so as not to die on the battlefield; some people are high-spirited and vow to save all people from water and fire...
How can these good wishes and good wishes not be extinguished all at once because of those evil thoughts and evil wishes? However, all the wishes are intertwined and difficult to separate and resolve. Not to mention those eight out of ten good wishes/
Nine, Wuxu is unable to respond or protect him.
In the end, Wuxu had no choice but to take the Dharma seal of Samantabhadra and recite the mantra of Samantabhadra. In the Dharma Realm, the statue of Samantabhadra appeared again, and the power of his vows surged over like a tidal wave.
The power of aspiration from outside poured into Wuxu's Dharma Realm continuously, and then towards the statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. Wuxu gradually became a little dizzy, and in a trance, he seemed to hear one wave after another of shouts. , whizzing past my ears.
"I want, I want, I want"
"Kill kill kill kill kill kill"
"Have mercy on me."
..
Suddenly, there was a thunder in his ears, and Wuxu suddenly woke up and looked at Duoji opposite him in despair. Duoji stood in the golden light of the sea of clouds, roared with snow/mountain/lion/son/, put his palms together and recited, "Supreme and deep. Subtle Dharma, encounter hundreds of thousands of catastrophes."
These two sentences are the first two sentences of the opening verse of the Buddhist scriptures. According to legend, Wu Zetian, when reading the Huayan Sutra, realized the wonderful meaning of the sutra and felt joyful in writing it. It was only after he realized the emptiness that he became acquainted with Samantabhadra. The Bodhisattva's Dharma Seal, reciting the mantra of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, witnessing the power of all sentient beings' vows in the dojo of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, contaminating the cause and effect of all living beings, as it has been for hundreds of thousands of kalpas. Dorje awakened Wu Xu with the lion's roar of Buddhism, and took him to a higher place. , used the Dharma Realm to isolate all wishes, and saw that Wuxu's expression was dull and his mind was lacking, so he recited these two opening verses.
"The supremely profound and subtle Dharma will encounter hundreds of thousands of calamities." Wu Xu murmured, looking through the golden light of the auspicious clouds under his feet, looking at the onion-like human heads below and the rolling turbid waves in the sea, and then opened this verse again. The last two sentences are recited, "Now that I have accepted and upheld what I have seen and heard, I wish to understand the true meaning of the Tathagata."
As the saying goes
The supremely profound and subtle Dharma is met with hundreds of millions of calamities.
Now that I have accepted and upheld what I have seen and heard, I wish to understand the true meaning of the Tathagata.
(By the way, writing about Buddhist monasteries has to involve some Buddhist teachings. The novel is just a joke. Please read it as a novel, so as not to make a big mistake unintentionally and add cause and effect.)
