Chapter 77 Oath

The jade sword echoed the bright moon. The jade sword pulled the moonlight, and the moonlight showed the sword's intention. Wuxu felt that wherever the moonlight fell, the sword light shrouded it.

Wuxu hurriedly formed the Moonlight Bodhisattva seal with his spiritual consciousness in the Mandala Dharma Realm, shot out a piece of moonlight, wrapped himself in it, and then fled far away.

The masked woman let out a soft cry, turned the jade sword slightly, and a sword light followed the moonlight that Wuxu struck out, like maggots attached to the bones.

That sword light seemed to ignore Wuxu's mandala Dharma Realm, and shot into the Dharma Realm Buddhist Hall, turning into pieces of ice blades, exuding bursts of coldness, and seemed to freeze Wuxu and the Buddhist hall into ice sculptures.

Wuxu, in the Buddhist hall, shouted loudly, and a touch of gold emerged from the spiritual body. Then, he sacrificed the jade plate engraved with the Nine Assembly of Vajra and forced out the remaining golden light of the Great Sun Tathagata. This golden light of the Great Sun Tathagata was

It is the many sacrifices of Lamaism. When it encounters the cold moonlight sword energy, it is like fire burning snow. Not only does it force the incoming moonlight sword energy out of the Dharma Realm, but it also rises outside the Dharma Realm and condenses into a cloud in the night sky.

A huge flame.

Above Kaifeng City, the sun and moon suddenly shone together, and the sky was filled with ice and fire.

When the masked woman saw this scene, she was slightly startled, and then shouted, "If you are really the Great Sun Tathagata, the light that purifies the world, this fairy should stay away. How can the light of a mere firefly compete with the brightness of the bright moon!" After that,

With a solemn expression, he made a mysterious gesture and threw the jade sword in his hand into the air.

Wuxu and others felt that the surrounding temperature dropped sharply, and the spiritual energy from all directions rushed towards the jade sword that was growing in the wind under the moon. The jade sword was more than ten feet long, with all kinds of brilliance flowing on it, and on the sword body

Inexplicable auras appeared all around, like physical talismans, and a group of people in the sky were faintly fixed there. But the golden light of the Great Sun Tathagata and the illusory fire ball had disappeared.

Luo Huan couldn't help but shuddered and exclaimed, "Immortal weapon?!" Regardless of the lamas and Wuxu around him, he spit out a mouthful of blood essence, turned into a streak of blood, and flew straight to the north.

Immortal weapons? Immortal weapons have not appeared in the human world for hundreds of years. Immortal weapons are basically legendary things. It is said that once the fairy weapons come out, the spiritual energy in a radius of hundreds of miles will be emptied, and the true spirit monks will slaughter them at will just like mortals.

.

Wuxu didn't care whether what Luo Huan said was true or not, and hurriedly ran away. He only heard a few shrill screams. Looking back, the lamas who were locked there and had no time to escape disappeared one after another under the clear light.

He didn't see it. He saw another talisman running towards him like a shooting star. He immediately sacrificed the mandala Dharma Realm with all his strength and fled forward.

After escaping for a while, the talisman seemed to have locked itself in. It was getting closer and closer, and its aura was getting more and more dangerous. Wuxu raised his head and looked at the bright moon above his head, gritting his teeth secretly: the only choice was to take a gamble. Then he stopped,

Spotting a temple, it quickly fell down and floated into a Buddhist temple.

In this Buddhist hall, there is an old monk who is leading a young monk to chant sutras in front of the golden Buddha. Wuxu hides himself in the Dharma Realm and also crosses his legs to chant sutras, completely integrating his own breath into this place.

The talisman chased the temple and stopped, flashing a dangerous aura, and finally came to the sky above the Main Hall, patrolling endlessly. The old monk suddenly said to the young monk next to him, "Jingci, go and take the talisman."

big

The candles in the hall went out." Although the young monk named Jingci was puzzled, he was very obedient. He clasped his hands slightly, got up, walked around the hall, extinguished all the candles in the hall, and then knelt down next to the old monk.

on a futon.

The old monk said again, "In the three thousand whirling worlds, there may not necessarily be candlelight, but there is most likely the moonlight. There may not necessarily be the moonlight, but the Bodhisattva must always be there. There is a Bodhisattva named Moonlight, and I will recite it for you."

This is "The Buddha Speaks of the Moonlight Bodhisattva Sutra"."

The old monk immediately led the young monk and recited the "Buddha Speaks of the Moonlight Bodhisattva Sutra" softly. For a moment, in the Buddhist hall, only moonlight was seen like water, passing through the tight doors and windows, through the sealed roof, falling one after another, floating in the air.

The two people were surrounded by people everywhere in the Buddhist temple.

After a while, Wuxu, who was secretly reciting "The Buddha Speaks of the Moonlight Bodhisattva Sutra" with the two monks, felt that the talisman above the Buddhist temple gradually lost its brilliance and turned into a ray of moonlight, which disappeared. He hesitated in his heart.

After a while, he wanted to become invisible and leave quietly.

But he saw the old monk turning around, facing the corner where he was, clasped his hands and said, "I'm a poor monk, Yuan Xin. I don't know that you are visiting me late at night, and I am missing my welcome from afar."

Wuxu's face turned slightly red, he walked out of the Mandala Dharma Realm, bowed to Yuan Xin and said, "Little monk Wuxu, thank you so much, Master, for your rescue."

Yuan Xin looked Wuxu over, clasped his hands together and said, "It is indeed Master Wuxu. Yuan Xin is so polite."

It turned out that Master Yuanfa of Baima Temple in Luoyang had come back, and all the monks in the surrounding temples knew about it, and they also knew who Wuxu was. Master Yuanfa, in a conversation with Master Yuanxin, also told him about Wuxu's appearance, etc.

The incident was briefly introduced. Tonight, Wuxu sneaked into the Buddhist temple here. Old monk Yuan Xin had already noticed it. Corresponding to what Master Yuanfa said, he guessed Wuxu’s identity, so he extended a helping hand to help Wuxu.

He concealed his breath and escaped disaster.

Wuxu understood the cause and effect, and immediately thanked Master Yuanxin again, and kowtowed three times to the White Horse Temple. Later, during the conversation with the monk Yuanxin, he asked, "Naluo Huan said that the masked woman was holding a jade sword.

It’s an immortal weapon, I wonder what the master thinks of it?”

Yuan Xin was silent for a moment and replied, "Yes and no." Seeing Wuxu's depressed and helpless face, he smiled again and said, "Master Wuxu, he is indeed a man of temperament. I wonder, what do you think about immortal weapons?" Wuxu said with a smile.

Xu shrugged and made a grimace.

"Then Master Wuxu, what do you think of immortal Buddhas?" Yuan Xinfu asked.

Immortal Buddha? When I realize this, I can’t help but be stunned. Immortal Buddha and Immortal Buddha become immortals and Buddhas. Most cultivators always talk about it. But if you really ask, what is an immortal and what is a Buddha? This is difficult to say, or difficult to say.

Answered.

Wuxu is a Buddhist monk. He does not talk about immortals, but talks about Buddha. The so-called Buddha, according to the introduction and description in Buddhist scriptures, is a person who has achieved enlightenment, does not regress, has complete enlightenment and tranquility, and always stays in the realm of bliss. As for supernatural powers, he does not seek for himself.

Come, not manifest but manifest. There is no level of supernatural power, it just appears according to the circumstances, with a little convenience.

But on the other hand, in Buddhist classics, descriptions of the great supernatural powers of Buddha and Bodhisattvas can be seen everywhere. It seems that this is not the case and cannot show the greatness of Buddha. For example, in the "Miaofa Lotus Sutra", various wonderful flowers rain down from the sky, and there are white hairs on the brows of the World Honored One.

The magnified light, the mighty sound, and the myriad phenomena are metaphors for the greatness of the Buddha's preaching of this sutra.

Therefore, for people who have not yet become Buddhas, and for ordinary beings, it seems that the greater the supernatural power, the closer they are to the Buddha. If the supernatural power is infinite, the most likely person is a Buddha? Think about it, the same is true for Taoist immortals and immortals, right?

Wuxu thought carefully for a while, put his palms together and said to Yuan Xin, "The young monk is stupid, I hope the master can enlighten me."

Yuan Xin smiled and said, "Master Wuxu, since you know the answer, why do you need to rely on the old monk's mouth?"

Wuxu knew that he couldn't fool the old monk, so he said, "The so-called immortal weapon is supposed to be a magical weapon used by people who have become immortals? And this jade sword is a magical weapon used by people who have not become immortals. However, the power of this sword is not

Much more than ordinary magic weapons?"

As he spoke, Wuxu suddenly frowned and said, "No! After all, based on what the young monk just said, it is still unclear whether this jade sword itself is an immortal magic weapon.

Yuan Xin nodded and asked, "But this sword, wielded by that fairy, is extremely powerful. To you and me, it is like a fairy sword. What's the difference between yes and no?"

Wuxu, who devoted himself to seeking Buddha, keenly captured the Zen meaning in Yuan Xin's words, and immediately asked, "In this case, someone whose magic power is much higher than ours, and who makes us unable to resist, will become an immortal and a Buddha."

?”

Yuan Xin put his palms together and replied, "Amitabha, it's very good. Master Wuxu's idea is deviated from Buddhism." After a pause, "The poor monk has never seen the immortal artifact, but according to the classics, the immortal artifact is

When it comes out, the sky will collapse and the earth will shatter, which is unbearable for the mortal world. This jade sword is not an immortal weapon, but its quality and power are beyond the world's magic weapons. It is not wrong to say it is an immortal weapon. "

Wuxu asked, "Old monk, what about the immortal Buddha? Is he an immortal Buddha who transcends you and me in this world?"

Yuan Xin put his palms together and faced the lifelike golden Buddha in the hall, and said slowly, "I don't know whether he is an immortal or a Buddha, but in the eyes of the world, he is probably an immortal Buddha."

What has deviated from Buddhism? After all, it is just a matter of comparing whose fist is bigger! Just like in later generations, when you have money, you can make chicken soup for the soul, preach the philosophy of success, lead the trend of the times, and shape the world.

Three views.

Wuxu, who was being hunted for no reason by the masked fairy with a jade sword, was as panic-stricken as a bereaved dog, and waved his sleeves and said, "If I become a Buddha, I will kill all these people who slander and insult the Buddha!"

As the saying goes

A fairy sword kills in all directions, and the chanting of sutras in the Buddhist temple cleverly conceals it.

The old monk talked quietly about immortals and Buddhas, while the young man angrily swore an oath.
