Chapter Fourteen Black's Secret

"Blake, are you okay?" I staggered towards him.

"You don't need to care." Blake stood up, tilted his head and looked at me: "Hey, he has evolved!"

"This is...evolution?" I asked curiously: "But why is this energy unstable? Besides, I feel so tired now."

"It won't last long. This kind of evolution requires a lot of energy. You can't fully control it with your current strength." Black said calmly.

"Really... I feel like the energy is being lost." My legs softened and I fell to the ground. My body began to gradually become smaller and degenerate, and returned to its original appearance again.

"I'm right." Blake glanced at me, helped me up from the ground, then turned around and picked up Lant.

"Blake, I'm sorry, I... hurt you." Rant lowered his head: "I hurt both you and Katz..."

"It's okay, this little injury is nothing." Blake reluctantly sent out a burst of energy to heal Rant's injuries.

"Blake, since you are the second-in-command of the evil organization..." I asked a question that I had been wondering about for a long time: "Then why does Spencer Irvine dare to trouble you like this?"

"They always have various prejudices against Black, because Black was named the second master not long after joining the evil spirit organization. Maybe they are jealous because their skills are not as good as Black." Lant spoke first.

"..." Blake remained silent, not wanting to answer my question.

"Blake, do you want to continue looking for the next interstellar fragment?" Lant asked.

"Of course." Blake said, "We have to find it."

Lant flapped his wings lightly. It seemed that nothing serious was wrong, but he just needed a good rest. Blake quickly retracted his energy, and his forehead was already covered with beads of sweat.

"You're so injured, why are you forcing yourself to do anything?" I asked in confusion.

"This is my own business." Blake took a breath and whispered: "It's the black energy..."

"It's black energy again!" I clenched my fists: "Is this power really uncontrollable?"

"It's eating away at me." Black gritted his teeth: "Katz, Lant... you go first! Stay away from me."

"Black!" Lant looked at him anxiously, but there was nothing he could do because the wound hadn't healed yet.

Seeing that Blake's energy was becoming more and more unstable, a thick black energy came out of his body. He struggled hard, looking very painful.

"How can I relieve this pain?" I thought anxiously. "It seems that this is the only way." I quickly ran towards Blake.

"Huh, why are you here?" Black said coldly: "Have you forgotten the lesson just now?"

I gritted my teeth and didn't speak. I just stretched out my hands silently, trying to absorb the black energy. The black energy was instantly input into my body. It was so cold...so uncomfortable! I closed my eyes tightly and tried to endure it, and those black energy

Black gas suddenly surrounded my body.

"That's really stupid." Blake trembled and pushed me away: "I really don't understand why you have such courage?"

"You can bear it...why can't I?" I fell to the ground, but stubbornly raised my head and asked.

"I'm much stronger than you..." Blake helped me up, and I leaned on his feet in a daze. As expected, the black energy began to roll inside my body, constantly tormenting my body.

"I want to be as powerful as you." I said in an extremely weak voice.

"If you want to become stronger, you can't do it in a day or two." Black said: "You have absorbed so much black energy, I need to help you force it out." He made a little movement and sent out a purple energy beam.

Into my back.

"Ahem..." I spit out black blood, and the dead black energy immediately surged out of my body, and the flowers, plants and trees that were stained with it withered or died.

"You little guy really likes to seek death! If you smoke more, your little life will really be gone." Black sneered and mocked.

"I want to help you and do something for you." I lowered my head and said, "I know... I have caused you a lot of trouble, so..."

"Help? Just you?" Black said coldly: "I don't need a weakling like you to cause trouble."

"Why not?" I said seriously: "Although I'm not strong enough, I can still do my best."

"I'm sorry, you can't help me." Blake still rejected me.

"Why don't you tell me first and I'll listen." I still didn't give up.

"I don't want to say it." Blake shook his head: "This is my own business. I want to solve it myself. I don't want to implicate other elves."

"What if I do it voluntarily?" I asked seriously: "If I can evolve again and become stronger, can I help you?"

"You..." Blake avoided my gaze: "What a stupid elf. If you do this, I won't appreciate you, and it won't do you any good."

"Benefits? I have never thought about it..." I said: "I am just a cursed child. I have no family or friends. I just want to live a plain life and help you as much as possible. That's enough."

"Family..." The corners of Blake's mouth twitched, as if my words resonated with him, but he immediately asked coldly: "Why do you believe me so much?"

"Because I think you are different from the other evil spirits here. You are more ambitious than them." I said without hesitation.

"What do you know?" Blake glanced at me and seemed to be impressed by my sincerity, and his tone of voice was no longer so cold: "What I did was just for a revenge plan."

"Revenge?" These words made me even more confused.

"I originally had parents and many friends. We lived very well on Grace Planet, but since him..." Blake clenched his fists and tried his best to suppress the anger in his heart: "Since he came, everything has changed!

My parents were killed..."

"He...?" I have probably guessed who "he" is, but I'm not sure: "Are you talking about Wesker? But isn't he your boss?"

"..." When I mentioned the name Wesker, Black's eyes were red, and he was trying his best to restrain his emotions. Finally, he said firmly: "No matter what, I must avenge my dead relatives.

"

I saw his unswerving determination and thought to myself, how painful it must be for him every day, shouting boss to the enemy who killed his father... No wonder he is so gloomy. These words come from the depths of his heart.

It seems to answer most of my questions, but is he trying to defeat Wesker? Wesker is so powerful, and I realized his strength on the first day I joined the Evil Spirit Organization.

"But didn't you tell me that the first rule of life on Grace Planet is to completely obey Wesker..." I asked in a low voice.

"Humph, if we didn't do that, do you think we could survive until now?" Blake raised his hand to put on the hood of the evil spirit's coat and walked away.

My mood suddenly became very complicated. I didn’t know what to say for a moment, but I heard Lant calling me, so I rushed to his side: “What’s wrong?”

"Katz." Lant said to me with a smile: "Actually, you know, you are the only elf who can enter Black's heart."

"Really?" Looking at Lant's warm smile, I felt curious again, how many secrets does Blake, the mysterious elf, have? (To be continued)
