Chapter 23 Irene Andora

Time accelerated under the control of the system. The clouds that were originally drifting slowly in the sky moved rapidly. The stars at night passed quickly like flying stars. Then, the sun crossed the horizon, and London at the end of the 19th century ushered in light again.

London, Eastview, Whitechapel.

It's early morning and there are almost no pedestrians here, but a small figure has been lingering here for a long time.

Conan frowned, looking slightly anxious.

Looking at the surrounding grass and the damaged wall not far away, Conan frowned, "This is where the body of the second victim, Honey Charlest, was found... There doesn't seem to be anything special here.

"Conan turned his head and looked through the crack in the wall.

This is where the Whitechapel area is named: St. Mary's Church.

St. Mary's Church is mainly made of white bricks and stones. St. Mary's Church was burned down during World War II. It is now 1888, a long time before World War II, so it now stands here intact.

Through the crack in the wall, I walked over to St. Mary's Church. Inadvertently, my attention was attracted by a notice posted next to the door of St. Mary's Church.

The original English text slowly changed into Japanese after Conan stared at the notice for more than two seconds.

A parent-child charity sale will also be held on the second Saturday in October.

That's all the notice says.

A strange look flashed in Conan's eyes, "Saturday...wait a minute. I remember when Hani was killed...September 8th, which was also a Saturday!"

Conan thought as he slowly walked back.

"You're so slow..." Xiaolan sighed in relief when Conan came back, "Where did you run to?"

"Nothing, I just went exploring on the street." Conan said with a smile.

"It's really leisurely. Isn't today the day to face off with Professor Moriarty?" Zhu Xing curled his lips at the side.

"Jack the Ripper appears again, this time with two victims." At this moment, a newsboy on the street was holding a stack of newspapers, waving them and shouting.

"Two victims!" Conan's expression became solemn, and he raised his arms high, trying to get the newsboy to come over.

At this moment, Bai Yu, who was not there, walked over from a short distance away and walked directly to the newsboy, "Give me a piece."

"Okay," the newsboy took out a piece of newspapers from his pile and handed it to Bai Yu, and said at the same time, "80 yen."

The one pound I originally planned to hand over awkwardly stopped in mid-air.

Fortunately, Bai Yu's good qualities did not make him show any expression. He just had a slightly sullen face and said in English, "Please give me a neer."

Moreover, the newspaper kid also seamlessly said, "OK, One pound."

Bai Yu was dumbfounded when he got the newspaper. He really didn't expect that a kid selling newspapers could actually speak a foreign language.

Back at the main unit, Bai Yu spread out the newspaper and squatted down so that the children could easily read the contents of the newspaper.

"Going to clean the stage of the opera house tonight. A message from M to J." Bai Yu read the contents of the newspaper softly.

"M to J. Professor Moriarty to Jack the Ripper." Conan said solemnly.

"What do you mean by cleaning the opera house? Are you going to kill people?" Takizawa was a little confused after hearing the news.

"Cleaning the opera house may be the one who asked Jack the Ripper to kill the opera house. No one knows." Conan speculated.

"Opera House..." Bai Yu was silent for a moment, then turned a page of the newspaper, "Maybe it's this one."

On this page of the newspaper, a whole page is devoted to the promotion of the opera house performance that will be held tonight.

The chief idol of the Warsaw Imperial Opera House: Irene Andora will perform at the Opera House tonight.
