44. The respective battlefields

Nate and Elle hid against the wall behind an abandoned building, where they could see the base.

They had just arrived and saw the windows being broken and the moment Team Five entered the gate.

"What's going on inside?" Nate asked. Because he really didn't know how to use electronic products, monitors and infrared alarms were installed on Elle.

"Huh...wait a moment." Aier breathed a long sigh of relief, took out the controller and started playing.

Nate waited for Elle to pull up the surveillance footage.

"Your physical strength has improved a lot."

"That's not true, I've been practicing for three months." Ai'er curled her lips, but her wagging tail still revealed her mood.

Elle handed the screen to Nate: "Here, that's it." The two of them looked at the screen, and the remaining members of the fifth team were struggling to eliminate the trap.

"It seems there's still enough time. Let's move to the predetermined location first..." Just as Nate was about to move, Elle grabbed his clothes.

"...Is it really okay?" Aier asked very seriously.

"I only need to be responsible for releasing spells...but you need to fight three people. Can you really be sure that there will be no danger?"

Nate was stunned. How long had it been since the last time someone was worried about his safety on the battlefield...?

Then he smiled lightly and returned:

"It's okay. We originally planned to let me take down six people. But Ai Luo's trap has done a great job - now I only need to deal with half of them."

"But……"

Elle is still a little worried. It's not that she doesn't believe in Nate's strength - during training, if Jiang Yan didn't use strengthening spells, no one in the team could beat Nate, and I heard the same was true in class.

But the few strong men in the room could feel the pressure just by looking at them, not to mention that they were people who had engaged in related professions.

Nate was still very calm: "It's okay, even if they look much stronger than me, they can't pose a threat to me."

Size suppression? Quantity suppression? Impossible?

joke.

Although I am no longer a Knight of Camisil...

But the specialty of the Knights of Camisil is to achieve the impossible.

Nate didn't speak anymore. He put down some of the emergency items and weapons he was responsible for carrying: including a folding gun he used as a deputy vanguard, a long straight sword used by the deputy guard, and his medical staff.

.

These pieces of equipment have been improved by Hank's design and are greatly reduced in weight, but their balance is very good. Nate picked up the long sword and held it in his hand for a long time to observe.

Not a bad weapon.

Then he smeared paint on the blade of the unedged long sword: just like live ammunition, this was used as a substitute for real damage.

Then he took out an electric shock prod - Hank's special one (exercise trial version). He hung the electric prod around his waist as a secondary weapon.

Although there is no need to carry secondary weapons when using two-handed weapons, this is considered some of his most basic vigilance.

...Old habits die hard. He realized that he had already started looking for a visor. This habitual action made him feel like he was back in Camisir, the hometown where he suffered so much mental torture.

I really can't laugh or cry.

"Let's go." He greeted Elle.

The two quietly reached the base wall.

"...This staircase can be passed." Mike and his party finally eliminated the trap in front of the stairs and the trip wire between the first and second floor corridors.

Then, I wonder if it was his illusion...

He seemed to hear the sound of something gently leaning against the wall.

PS: It is difficult for candidates to insist on getting better every day...

Please be more understanding, thank you
