About this article Chapter 23 Nine Palaces Eight Trigrams Four

Ancient formationsEdit

Introduction

Ancient Chinese battles paid great attention to formations, that is, combat formations, which are called "arrangements." If the formations are arranged correctly, the combat effectiveness of the army can be fully utilized and the enemy can be defeated.

There are three famous combat formations in ancient Chinese military history:

The Eight Formations were created by Sun Bin, a great military strategist during the Warring States Period. It is said to have been inspired by the Eight Diagrams in the Book of Changes, so it is also called the Eight Trigrams Formation. The specific formation is that the general is in the center, with a group of regular soldiers on each side, and between the regular soldiers.

Send out four more teams of mobile combat troops.

, forming eight formations. The eight formations are scattered into eight, and then merge into one. They can be divided and combined to form sixty-four formations. At that time, Zhuge Liang also used stones to set up the eight formations in Fengjie, Sichuan, as a way to coach soldiers to practice formations.

Use, named "Eight Array Diagram."

The Star Spreading Formation is a formation used by the famous Southern Song Dynasty general Yue Fei to defeat the "Kaizi Horse" of the Jin soldiers. The formation of the Star Spreading Formation is arranged like a star. When the "Kaizi Horse" rushes in a row, the soldiers scatter and do not gather together, causing the enemy to fly into the air.

The soldiers who dispersed when the enemy retreated gathered together, pounced on the enemy violently, and slashed the horse's legs with their swords to break the "kidnapping horse".

The Yuanyang Formation is a formation created by Qi Jiguang, a general in the Ming Dynasty, to fight against Japanese pirates. He divided his soldiers into three teams. When the enemy advanced to a hundred steps, the first group of soldiers fired firearms; when the enemy advanced to 60 steps, the second group of soldiers fired.

Fire crossbows; when the enemy reaches ten steps, the third group of soldiers rushes at the enemy with swords and spears. These changes reflect the evolution of Chinese combat formations from traditional square formations to multi-arm group formations.

Eight array diagram

A formation created by Zhuge Liang during the Three Kingdoms period. It is said that when Zhuge Liang defended the enemy, he used piles of rocks to form a stone formation. According to Dunjia, it was divided into Xiu, Sheng, Shang, Du, Jing, Death, Jing, and eight gates. It can be changed in many ways.

One hundred thousand elite soldiers. (See "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms")

In later generations, it was very rare to be proficient in this formation, but unexpectedly appeared in Taihu Villa in the Ming Dynasty. Tantai Zhongyuan, the owner of Taihu Villa, used this formation to train eight people to stand in the eight gate positions, so that they could advance and retreat freely when attacking the enemy, coming and going.

Like tide, it is extremely weird and powerful, and it has been used to trap eight masters with special skills in the inner circle. (See Liang Yusheng's "Pingzong Xia Ying")

[A book-chasing app recommended to me by an old book friend I have known for ten years, Yeguo Reading! It is so easy to use. I rely on this app to read and listen to books while driving and before going to bed. You can download it here www. 】

Another example is that the rockery trees in Ren Tianwu's house are arranged according to the ancient method of eight formations. If ordinary people are not familiar with this formation, they will never get out. (See Liang Yusheng's "Mingdi Yunlu")

According to the "Three Kingdoms·Shu Zhi·Zhuge Liang Biography": "(Liang) deduced the art of war and made eight formations." Later generations studied the relics and drew graphics, see "Wu Bei Zhi". According to records, there are three remains of the eight formations: "Water

Jing·Mian Shui Zhu》

And "Hanzhong Fuzhi" said it was in the southeast of Mian County, Shaanxi Province (now Mian County) and east of Zhuge Liang's tomb; "Huanyu Ji" said it was by the Nanjiang River in Kuizhou (now Fengjie County), Sichuan; "Ming Yitong Zhi" said it was in Xindu County, Sichuan

Moumi Town, thirty miles north.

A set of my country's earliest "Fenghou Eight Formations Art of War Pictures" was discovered in Mi County, Henan Province. The picture is divided into nine pictures, one is the main picture of the eight formations, and the other eight pictures are the eight formations, namely: the sky-covering formation, the earth-covering formation, and the eight formations. Carrying formation, Feng Yang formation, Yun Chui formation, Dragon flying formation, Tiger wing formation, Bird flying formation, Snake and pan formation. There is a text description next to the picture, which details the attack of each formation under special circumstances.

The tactical application of retreat. According to "Historical Records", Fenghou was a general of Xuanyuan Huangdi. The Tang Dynasty military strategist Yunyanguan of Mi County and Changzhou Governor Duguji's "Yunyanguan Fenghou Eight Formations" stele, It records in detail the deeds of Huang Di and Feng Hou in developing the "Eight Formations Diagram". The discovery of this diagram pushed forward the history of my country's Eight Formations Art of War by 2,500 years.

Bagua Liangyi Array

It is a battle formation arranged according to the innate Little Bagua universe and combined with the wonderful effect of lights. This formation uses the number seven as the killing

, every positive must have a negative. Those who enter this formation will feel an invisible pressure, as if the ground under their feet is tilted to one side. The lights are unpredictable, and there is a wonder of turning one into seven. Among these seven phantoms

, the third one is the real body. Zhu Cui was trapped in this formation on Bule Island, and got help from Shan Kun to break out of the formation. (See Xiao Yi's "Worry-free Princess")

Seven Star Hammer Formation

The formation used by Ge Huachang and others who are known as the Big Dipper Constellation in the martial arts. Seven people are arranged according to the direction of the Big Dipper, each holding a meteor hammer to attack the enemy. The beauty is that every time he launches a move, he can turn seven into seven with one hammer, forming the Big Dipper constellation.

, uniform, continuous, and impeccable. Mr. White Horse Yu Tongchun was once trapped by this formation and was on the verge of despair. Fortunately, he broke through the formation with the help of his lover Shangguansu. (See Cao Ruobing's "Blue Blood and Green Front")

Seven Star Flying Hammer Array

Referring to the formation of the Big Dipper that spreads all over the world. The "Seven Hammers of Shatuo" are positioned according to the directions of Tianxuan Star, Tianji Star, Tianquan Star, Yuheng Star, Kaiyang Star, Yaoguang Star and Tianshu Star.

Surround the enemy in the formation, and everyone will attack at will. Each person's flying hammer will turn one ball into seven, continuously.

Absolutely, the powerful internal force generated makes the enemy feel that it is not functioning properly, and it can trap the opponent to death over time. This formation implies the theory of the mutual restraint of life and death in the world, inverting reality and reality, without foundation or failure, and it is really difficult to predict and prevent. Zhang Dingyuan once served as

Trapped by this formation. (See Gu Long's "Blood and Shadow")

Seven Killing Formation

The full name of the "Seven Killing Formation of Darkness in Heaven and Darkness" was created by the one-eyed and lame Xuanyuan Sanque in the martial arts world. It is characterized by weirdness and terror. The formation is composed of seven blind men in black. They hold a bright staff in their left hand and a stick in their right hand.

Folding fans surrounded the target to be eliminated, dancing in the air to the accompaniment of a strange rhythmic piano sound. The rhythm of the piano sound became faster and faster, and their steps became faster and faster.

The dancing became more and more urgent, and the circle surrounded by seven people gradually narrowed, and the pressure generated gradually increased, just like a woven net that was gradually tightening. At this time, their goal seemed to become

He caught a fish in the net and waited for death. Xuanyuan Sanque once used this formation to capture the heroine Xiao Shiyilang alive, but was defeated by Xiao Shiyiliang with a deer-cutting knife. (See Gu Long's "Fire and Xiao Shiyilang")

Seven Star Bagua Sword Formation

The Kunlun Sect Sword Formation was created by the Seven Sons of Kunlun, and the Kunlun Sect became famous for its battles. This sword formation was set up according to the directions of the Eight Diagrams, and coincided with the changes of the seven stars. When facing the enemy, Lingxuzi, the leader of the Seven Sons of Kunlun, stood on the gan position, and performed the swordsmanship in turn.

Xiazi stands in the Kun position, Lingzhongzi establishes the Kan position, Lingxinzi guards the earthquake position, Lingyunzi guards the away position, Lingquanzi protects the Dui position, Lingxuanzi guards against the Xun position, and leaves the Gen position for others.

In and out. The skills of the seven people are almost the same. Their voices are connected, their hearts are connected, and they attack vertically and horizontally. They echo each other. Therefore, the power exerted exceeds the combined strength of the seven people. The Seven Sons of Kunlun used this formation to trap the seven evil scholars Min Xiao and Bing Po.

Divine Lord Cao Jun and the two of them were not killed in this sword formation because Master Lingkong came forward to speak out. (See Chen Qingyun's "Shen Sword Confused Star")

Twelve Capital Tianmen Array

The first of the forty-nine formations in Taoism was created by understanding the secrets of the "Book of Changes". Taoist masters inserted twelve small round sticks into the ground. From the perspective of a layman, there is no pattern at all. One stick goes to the east and one stick goes to the west.

There is a straight one and a slanted one, as if it is randomly messed up.

The ones plugged in are the same, but if the "Death" and "Destruction" gates are opened, even martial arts masters, if they don't understand the secrets, will stay in this formation for a while. This formation is used to hide the enemy, it is really magical.

.(See Chen Qingyun's "The Phantom of the Giant Palm")

Nine Palaces and Bagua Formation

The formation was set up by Liu Qinghe, the third junior brother of Tang Tiansheng, the head of the Tang Sect in Sichuan. In this formation, piles of rubble are arranged according to the directions of the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams, and there are many changes. When people are trapped in the formation, they feel that everything is dark, gloomy, and foggy. Shen Shen couldn't get out of the door. (See Dongfang Yu's "The Red Line Heroes")

Nine Palaces and Bagua Sword Formation

The sword formation that best expresses the power of Wudang swordsmanship. It was formed by nine people who were proficient in serial life-threatening swordsmanship and arranged according to the directions of the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams. Since the creation of this sword formation by Huang Ye Taoist of the Wudang Sect in the late Ming Dynasty, more than a hundred years have passed. It was only used three times. The Wudang Sect's chain sword technique is known for its speed and mystery. If several people who are proficient in chain death sword techniques use it at the same time, there will be no gaps at all, and even flies will have difficulty flying through it. (See Liang Yusheng. "The Jade Bow in the Sea of Clouds")

Knife network array

The formation was created by Sword King Yu Junfeng. The formation consists of a group of nine people. Eight people stand in the eight directions of Kan, Li, Dui, Zhen, Xun, Qian, Kun and Gen. The other person is in the center to support and attack the enemy with a sharp knife. When attacking together, the nine of them are like one body. If the opponent attempts to defeat them one by one, they will definitely be injured by the swords. (See Liang Yusheng's "Guangling Sword")

The Three Ultimate Formations of Swords and Sticks

A battle formation formed by Chuan Shen Jia, Rong Shen Wu, and Cao Shen Hai holding three copper rods and three sharp knives. Very few people in the world could escape from this formation. Black Dujuan, the leader of the Wan Kill Sect, died at the hands of three swords and sticks. In the middle and last part, Sima Xue, the king of killers, used a green blood sword to break the three unique formations of swords and sticks. (See Gu Long's "The Quick Knife Prodigal Son")

Sanmaogong rockery

Sanshou Zhenren used the rockery of Sanmao Palace to set up a strange enchantment formation. This rockery is almost as high as the wall. When you fall into the rockery, you will feel that the surroundings are dark, the mountains are undulating, and the peaks reach into the sky. No matter how you run, you will not be able to find a way out. Chu Yuxiang and Ying Wushuang were once trapped in a rockery. (See Dongfang Yu's "The First Sword of the East")

Feiyu Jiuding Formation

A battle formation designed by Jiang Xing, a bandit flying fish in Jiangze Lake. Nine people, nine cauldrons, and nine boats are distributed in front, back, left, and right, jumping back and forth, flying cauldrons, and nine boats in unison, making the enemy dazzled. It is said that this nine cauldrons are During the Yin and Shang Dynasties, the emperor sent five hundred soldiers to mine the Bayan Har Mountains in Sichuan for gold and stone training, which played a very important role in China's thousands of years of history. (See Liang Yusheng's "Wudang Yijian")

According to the "Historical Records of Emperor Wu": "Yu collected the gold from the Nine Dynasties and cast the Nine Tripods to resemble Jiuzhou." It is said that Cheng Tang moved the Nine Tripods to Shangyi. Since the Nine Tripods became a national treasure symbolizing state power, during the Warring States Period, both Qin and Chu An army was sent to the Zhou Dynasty to seek a tripod. In the forty-second year of King Xian of Zhou Dynasty, the Nine tripods disappeared under Pengcheng in Surabaya. In the second year of Tang Dynasty Empress Wu Long Live Tongtian, and in the third year of Song Huizong Chongning, Nine tripods were also cast. The Jin people went south, plundered Nine tripods and moved north. His whereabouts are unknown. The author used the allusion of Jiuding to fictionalize this formation.

Thousand-faced search and killing array

A variant of the Bagua Gate-Seizing Formation, combined with sunlight refraction. Each person in the formation holds a sword in one hand and a multi-edge silver medal in the other. They use the special terrain and sunlight refraction to create a strange illusion. One person transforms into four, and four people transform into 8. Those who entered the formation could not tell the true from the false, and felt like they were being attacked from all sides. Cao Yu used this formation to besiege Zhu Cui on the outskirts of Hanyang. Zhu Cui jumped to a high place and looked down to see the flaw, and broke out of the formation. (See Xiao Yi's "Worry-Free Princess")

Xiao Liu Cheng Frightening Formation

The formation was developed by Hua Mingqiu, a sick scholar, after five years of hard work. Guo Feihong accidentally fell into this formation. He saw dense forests surrounded by trees and plants, and could not find a way out. He identified a direction and counted three times quickly. There is a beautiful scenery, but there is still a dense forest in front of you. If you look carefully, it has not moved away from the original place, it is just in this nearby circle. (See "Dragon, Earth, Tiger" by Xiao Yi)

Great Five Elements Sword Formation

The Wudang Sect's famous sword formation. Twenty-five Taoists, in groups of five, formed a formation like a plum blossom, surrounding the enemy in the middle. The sword formation flowed, and the twenty-five long swords merged into one.

The brilliant light, shot at the same time, is airtight and infinitely powerful. Few people survive under the great Five Elements Sword Formation. (See "Beishan Jinglong" by Dongfang Jade)
