Chapter 6 The Special Wand

"Aha, you're here!" Flitwick waved excitedly when he saw the two of them, and said, "The last time I came to Diagon Alley was thirty years ago. Time flies so fast.

Isn't that right, Albus?"

"You are right, Filius!" Dumbledore smiled and nodded, "Especially when I see our students growing up day by day, I always feel that I am a little old!"

"No, no, no, you are only over two hundred years old, you are still young!" Flitwick stretched out his long and slender fingers and shook them gently.

That's enough for you two! Really, we've only been apart for less than five minutes, what's the point of exchanging pleasantries? Weston couldn't help but complain in his heart.

"Okay, let's not talk about it for now!" Dumbledore stopped the topic first and winked mischievously at Weston, "Our little guy will be impatient for a while, so let's go in first!

"

Hearing this, Weston couldn't help but rolled his eyes, "How can you two talk all afternoon without me?"

However, he very wisely did not say anything. He was really worried that these two old men, whose combined total was almost 600 yuan, kept talking.

You old man, you can't afford to be hurt! Weston sighed.

The three of them walked towards this small and simple-looking shop together.

Ollivander's Wand Shop does not have a gorgeous decoration like other shops, nor does it have a colorful appearance. Even the plaque is just a worn-out oak sign, and the writing on it is a bit blurry.

The only thing that counts as decoration is probably the transparent glass window with a purple wand inside. There is a row of clear Latin words written on the window: Ollivander, since 382 BC.

Well made wand.

If you can't pass Latin, let alone learn magic, you won't even know the store! Weston suddenly felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction. It seemed that it was God's will that he traveled through time. He was studying orthodox Latin at the beginning.

Even better than learning English, isn’t this useful?

As long as you study, it will not be in vain! Weston felt that this was so right at this time.

After entering the store, the silence inside and the hustle and bustle outside are completely different worlds. Especially when the store door is closed, no sound from outside can be heard at all.

Weston looked at the room and once again marveled at the magic!

The store that looks like it's only two meters high from the outside turns out to be at least ten meters high inside! The surrounding walls and the space in between are filled with shelves that reach to the ceiling, and the shelves are filled with all kinds of boxes.

, and in the middle of the shelf is a twisted staircase.

Although it looks a bit messy, for some reason, Weston always feels that there is a certain pattern to the mess here.

Wait, this is...

Weston subconsciously stopped walking inside and quietly observed his surroundings.

"What's the matter, kid?" Flitwick asked curiously.

"It's a little weird!" Weston said while looking for something, "I always felt like I heard a lot of breathing, but I just didn't see anyone! Could it be that someone is playing a prank?"

"Breathing sound?" Dumbledore frowned, "Are you sure?"

Weston paused for a moment, then nodded: "I'm very sure, and..."

He gestured to several shelves: "I still feel like there are people on those shelves watching here!"

"Sharp and outstanding perception! You are excellent, child!" A sigh came from inside, and then, a figure sat on a ladder and rowed over.

It was a dirty-looking old man. His white hair, which seemed to have not been washed for a long time, was flying around. He looked like a hedgehog, with large age spots on his face. Weston also noticed that on his sleeves

There are at least two stains.

If it weren't for those mysterious and sharp eyes, who would have thought that this was Garrick Ollivander, known as the head of the three legendary wand makers?!

"Good afternoon, welcome." Ollivander greeted calmly, "Long time no see, Professor Dumbledore, ah, and Mr. Flitwick."

"Long time no see, Garrick!" Dumbledore responded with a smile, while Flitwick said nothing and just nodded happily.

"It has indeed been a long time!" Ollivander nodded and walked up to the two of them, "I thought you would never come here. After all, you are no longer needed!"

"The inherited goblin staff was transformed into twelve and a quarter special wands, and the other one is the first wand with a history of more than a thousand years!" Ollivander glanced at Flitwick's wand.

, the eyes seemed to grow on Dumbledore's wand.

"Your memory is still so enviable, Garrick!" Dumbledore said with a smile, "But we didn't chat very long today. In fact, today's protagonist is this little cutie!"

Dumbledore gently pushed Weston forward.

"Ah, that's right, I should have thought of it earlier!" Ollivander looked at Weston and said softly, "Although you are not old enough, you should have needed it earlier, Mr. Weston!"

"Do you know me?" Weston was a little surprised at first, and then suddenly realized, "By the way, you should know that there are not many silent people!"

"Of course, apart from that, there aren't many homeless people in Diagon Alley, especially the surviving children!" Ollivander pointedly pointed out.

The three people present all understood that after all, Knockturn Alley's notoriety ranked high in the entire wizarding world.

"Maybe I should give myself a nickname? Lark?" Weston smiled mockingly.

"No, no, no!" Ollivander shook his head, "In fact, you are very talented, kid!"

"You mean..."

Ollivander did not answer his question immediately, but said his mantra: "You have to know one thing, it is the wand that chooses the wizard!"

Then, he began to explain.

"Every Ollivander wand is unique. As Muggles say, there are no two identical leaves in the world. We usually use rare materials such as unicorn hair, phoenix tail feathers, and dragon heartstrings to make wands.

core."

"Coupled with superb inheritance and improved technology, it can be said that every Ollivander's wand is extremely sophisticated and powerful."

"Finally, you have to know that a good wand has a soul. The gasp you hear and the gaze you feel are precisely because of this!"

The wand has a spirit? Are you trying to cultivate immortality? Weston's eyes widened, and he suddenly realized that the plot he seemed to understand was actually nothing.

This is a real world! Weston took a deep breath and completely gathered his little thoughts.

"So, now, what should I do?" Weston asked.

"If it were someone else, I would help him choose, but for you," Ollivander moved his face closer and said softly, "you just need to close your eyes and feel its call!"

Close his eyes? Feel? Weston's head was full of questions. After thinking about it, he decided to do it. It is best to be obedient when he knows nothing.

Sure enough, his idea was correct.

When Weston closed his eyes, it didn't take long for him to feel a vague call.

He groped and walked in the direction of the call. Finally, he stopped in front of a small shelf and opened his eyes.

This shelf is not a shelf, it looks more like a small table. There are several ivory wand holders placed on it. Three wands are placed tightly on the wand holders, and that kind of summoning is the white one in the middle.

came from the wand.

"Oh? This is..." Ollivander looked a little surprised, then solemnly walked to the wand stand, bowed deeply, and then, following Weston's gaze, pinched the wand with both hands.

He picked up the wand holder and brought it to the front.

He looked deeply at Weston: "Take it up, boy, if it will!"

Weston nodded, stretched out his right hand, held the wand, and held it in his hand.

The wand instantly emits a black light, covering up the whiteness of the wand itself. The light gradually covers Weston's hand from the body of the wand, like water, and finally stops on the back of his hand.

Come down.

The black light flashed suddenly, and then disappeared. On the back of Weston's originally empty hand, there was a pattern like a six-pointed star, which looked like a tattoo.

"What...what's going on?" Weston looked at this scene blankly.

Not only him, but Dumbledore and Flitwick were also stunned.

After Ollivander glanced at him, he said calmly: "It's nothing, it just recognizes you. You don't have to ask me anything else, and I won't tell you. I'm sorry!"

Dumbledore stared at Ollivander for a while, then slowly spoke: "Is it true that you can't say anything, Ollivander? You know, even if you don't tell me, I will ask Nico

of!"

"Believe me, Nico won't tell you! Moreover, although he is a master alchemist, he still has a lot to learn in the field of wands!" Ollivander said proudly.

"Okay!" Dumbledore didn't ask any more questions.

"Then Chenghui, one hundred and thirty-five galleons!"

"..."
