Chapter 40: Delacour of Resentment

Devil's Contract is a rather special magic. Strictly speaking, this magic does not belong to the modern magic system, but is more inclined to alchemy.

This magic was developed by Nico Flamel and recorded in his alchemical notes. Because the effect of the magic is very similar to the legendary contract with the devil, Weston named it the Devil's Contract.

After hearing this, Mr. Delacour's face turned blue and white, looking very funny.

Weston guessed that he felt bad, so he did not continue talking, but was going to change the topic.

"Uncle, do you still remember those two magic books you mentioned to me?" Weston said this pretending to be mysterious.

Sure enough, Mr. Delacour's interest suddenly aroused: "Of course I remember! What's the matter, are you also interested in that legend?"

Weston smiled, took out the Sun Golden Sutra from his pocket, and placed it on the table.

The sound of "clang" proves that the weight of this book is definitely not light.

"This is..." Mr. Delacour had a guess and glanced at Weston in disbelief.

Weston smiled slightly and motioned for him to pick it up and take a look.

Mr. Delacour picked up the book with great effort, looked over it over and over, and then put the book down.

"This should be the legendary "Golden Book of the Sun"!" Mr. Delacour said solemnly, looking at Weston with a serious expression, "You should know the meaning of this book, child!"

Weston nodded to show that he understood.

Mr. Delacour stared at him for a while and asked slowly: "Can you tell me how this book came about?"

Weston nodded, and then told him all about his experience in Egypt.

"You mean, you heard the sound of pulling?" Mr. Delacour asked with a frown.

"Yeah, I still can't believe it!" Weston sighed, "That's a kind of power that I can't understand at all!"

Speaking of this, he couldn't help but recall the scene at that time...

"Great God of the Sun, I offer you my highest greetings and deep repentance from sinners!" Dino did not panic when faced with the sudden voice, but responded excitedly.

"God loves the world, but do sinners want to serve me again in the future?"

"Great Ra, the omnipotent sun god, I want to serve you again and devote all my faith and soul to wash away my sins and regain your glory!" Dino

He spoke respectfully and sincerely.

This majestic voice was silent for a moment, and then replied calmly: "Since you want to repent, I will promise you!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the magic circle lit up instantly, and Dino's body suddenly floated, and all the golden light concentrated on his body.

"Pop!" There was a soft sound, as if something broke, and then Weston saw something like runes flying out of Dino's body and slowly dissipating in the air.

Gradually, as time went by, fewer and fewer runes floated out of Dino's body, and eventually they disappeared completely, and Dino also fell to the ground.

"Remember your oath, my servant!" the voice said at last.

Dino nodded solemnly.

Weston wanted to step forward to take a look at Dino's condition, but he was suddenly stunned. He suddenly heard this voice in his mind saying: "After being an old friend, I hope you will grow up!"

"What do you mean?" Weston asked in his mind, but did not receive any reply.

A violent fluctuation of magic power brought him out of his reverie, and when he took a closer look, he saw that it was the "magic riot" that had begun on Dino!

"I can finally use magic!" Dino shouted excitedly, smiling with tears streaming down his face.

"Congratulations, Mr. Dino!" Weston congratulated with a smile.

——————

"Weston, Weston!" Mr. Delacour shook him out of his memories.

"Sorry, I just thought of what happened before!" Weston said apologetically.

"Nothing!" Mr. Delacour shook his head and asked, pointing to the buckle on the "Golden Sun Book", "You should need a key here! If not, I'm afraid you can't see it!"

"I have the key!" Weston nodded and took out a hexagonal box. These are the keys to the two books that Dino gave him.

Originally, Weston wanted to leave one of the two books to Dino, but Dino refused. According to him, even if it was left to him, he would not be able to keep it for long.

Weston naturally knew that he was right. There were a lot of dirty things in the magic world. With such a valuable treasure in hand, without the strength, it would be a disaster rather than a blessing.

Mr. Delacour immediately took the key, opened the buckle, quickly opened the "Sun Golden Sutra", and took a closer look...

Five minutes later, Mr. Delacour was sitting in the living room with a stinking look on his face, looking at Weston with a resentful look, as if he were a little daughter-in-law looking at a heartless man.

Weston looked completely uncomfortable to him, but he couldn't help but want to laugh.

"Have you known this for a long time?" Mr. Delacour asked quietly.

"No, I definitely don't know!" Weston responded seriously, and nodded solemnly after speaking, wanting to strengthen his persuasiveness.

"Forget it! I should have thought of it a long time ago!" Mr. Delacour waved his hand in disinterest, "After all, it's something that has been passed down for thousands of years, how could I possibly understand it! I don't know ancient Egypt either.

language."

"Is ancient Egyptian so difficult to learn?" Weston asked doubtfully, "I think it's okay?"

"It depends on who is learning it!" Mr. Delacour said angrily, "For a little pervert like you who can even use runes with ease, Ancient Egyptian is certainly easy to learn!"

"This thing is called the writing of God in Egypt! It also has a certain amount of magic power! Not everyone knows it, okay!" When he said this, Mr. Delacour couldn't help but give him a look.

Really? Although Weston didn't quite believe it, he still didn't worry so much.

"Forget it, just do your own research! Just tell me what you find out!" Mr. Delacour waved his hand, "I'd better go to bed!"

"Well, go to bed early!" Weston stood up and said with a smile, "Good night!"

Mr. Delacour nodded, picked up the little Loli who had fallen asleep on the sofa, and walked upstairs.

Weston sat in the room, feeling that he was not sleepy at all. He looked at the bright moon outside the window and quietly thought about his life experience.

He realized more than once that his life experience was not simple! He didn't pay attention to it before, but now, he felt that he still needed to think about it carefully.

When did he know that his life experience was not simple? It seems that the first time he showed it was when he was choosing a wand, right?

Thinking of this, Weston took out his wand and observed it carefully for the first time under the moonlight...
