Chapter thirteen, Qin Huairu delivers steamed buns

Siheyuan, Jia’s house.

Qin Huairu woke up the whole family and placed some steamed buns made from grains on the table, along with a dozen white-flour steamed buns steamed this morning.

The elderly and children all scooped out bowls of thick porridge, but there were not many rice grains in the bowl in front of me.

Rice and white flour are all fine grains, and there is only so much left at home. They are expensive, so she always wants to take care of the children, and it doesn't matter if she barely eats them.

After a simple wash, the family gathered around the table. Seeing the white-faced steamed buns, the children's faces were filled with smiles.

In the past, breakfast consisted of throat-cutting steamed buns with a bowl of porridge. Can the children be unhappy with the sweet white-flour steamed buns this morning?

Jia Zhang on the side picked up a white flour steamed bun and put it into Banggan's bowl. Then she also took one for herself and took a sip with the gruel, but she made a dissatisfied voice and said,

"This early morning is all about white-flour steamed buns. Isn't it too good to live like this?"

Before Qin Huairu could reply, Xiaodang, who was sitting at one end, looked at the white-faced steamed buns on the table and couldn't help swallowing. Just as he was about to reach out and take a white-faced steamed bun from the basin, Jia Zhang glanced at him and said,

"It's enough for the little girl to eat steamed buns. What kind of steamed buns should we eat?"

Hearing Mrs. Jia Zhang's words, the girl with two small braids shrank her hands, then took a bun and started to chew it silently. She looked aggrieved but did not dare to say anything for fear of offending Mrs. Jia Zhang.

.

On the contrary, it was the little Huaihua who was sitting on the side with Qin Huairu, but at the age of four or five, she didn't have so much thoughts. She blinked her big innocent eyes and looked at Qin Huairu and said,

"Mom, Sophora japonica wants to eat steamed buns too!"

"well!"

Qin Huairu sighed silently, looked at her mother-in-law, and didn't know what to say, so she could only give Xiaodang and Huaihua a white-faced steamed bun. Then she looked at Jia Zhang and said helplessly,

"Mom, Xiaodang, Sophora japonica is also your granddaughter!"

They are all losers, why do they eat so well?

Mrs. Jia Zhang was thinking inwardly, but she couldn't say it in front of them, so she asked again,

"We only have some white noodles at home. You steamed them this morning. What will you eat tonight?"

"Mom, I'll see if I can bring back some lunch boxes from Silly Zhu tonight."

Seeing that Jia Zhang's face looked better, he said,

"You and the children should share these steamed buns this morning. I have to bring some more to the old lady's house in the backyard."

When she heard that she had to give some of these steamed buns to others, Jia Zhang immediately said with a straight face,

"I don't have enough to eat at home, so why give it to them?"

Qin Huairu seemed to have anticipated Jia Zhang's attitude, and explained in a leisurely manner,

"Mom, don't worry. Didn't I tell you yesterday that the old lady's grandson has become the leader of the factory. There has been no explanation from the factory about my becoming a full-time employee. There must be some human relations between neighbors.

?”

When Jia Zhang heard this, her expression softened a little and she asked aloud,

"Didn't you introduce your cousin to him?"

"It's still open to debate whether my cousin's matter can be dealt with in Chengdu. It's better to get closer now so we won't suffer any loss."

When Qin Huairu said this, Jia Zhang also nodded. Although he was reluctant to part with the steamed buns, he still said,

"Then why are you still standing here? Hurry up and send some to others!"

Qin Huairu had been busy all morning, and before she even had a few bites of food, she was urged by Jia Zhang to deliver steamed buns. In desperation, she could only gnaw on the dry and hard steamed buns first, and quickly took one with her hands and feet.

I picked up a few white flour buns, went in, and went out to the backyard.

At this end, Su Cheng and the old lady were eating breakfast and chatting about work and the house. Qin Huairu also came to the door with a steamed bun.

"Old lady, brother Su Cheng, you've already eaten!"

Before Qin Huairu entered the house, a voice like a warbler came over and said,

"I steamed some white flour steamed buns at home. I thought that Brother Su Cheng had just come back and might not be able to take care of food, so I brought some over."

Su Cheng looked up and saw Qin Huairu with a full smile. After welcoming him into the house, he said,

"Sister Qin, my uncle gave me some steamed buns yesterday, and today I have some left over, just for breakfast."

After a pause, Su Cheng considered his words, rejected Qin Huairu's kindness and said,

"Sister Qin, it's not easy for your family. It's the time when the children are growing. You send steamed buns to my family so early in the morning. What do the children eat?"

Qin Huairu was declined but the smile on her face did not change. She still smiled and said,

"It's okay. They're all eating the sticks. I've brought them all. You can't ask Sister Qin to take them back again. What's that like?"

Then he looked at the old lady who had been pretending to be deaf and dumb since she entered the door and said,

"Old lady, do you think this is true?"

The old lady seemed to be really deaf now, and said with a puzzled face,

"What did you say? You want to run away from home?"

Knowing that the old lady was deliberately trying to push her away, Qin Huairu was not annoyed. Instead, she held the old lady's hand thoughtfully and said,

"I say you, old lady, are blessed!"

After hearing this, the old lady was no longer deaf now, and laughed and said,

"Old lady, I have been miserable for most of my life, but I will not be able to enjoy happiness."

Qin Huairu's words were satisfactory, and Su Cheng could no longer refuse the kindness. He took the steamed buns from Qin Huairu's plate and said politely,

"Sister Qin, sit down and have something to eat together?"

Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Qin Huairu didn't want to stay any longer, so he immediately found an excuse and said,

"No, the whole family still has to organize things. I'll go back later. Bangge and the others might cause trouble again."

Then he said to the old lady,

"Old lady, I'm leaving now. I'll see you later when I have time!"

After saying that, he took the empty plate and walked out the door with his plump figure swaying.

Su Cheng looked at Qin Huairu's back, thoughtfully, but this scene was seen by the deaf old lady on the side. She thought that Su Cheng had fallen in love with Qin Huairu like Silly Zhu, and couldn't help but spat.

road,

"What a fox!"

Then he said seriously to Su Cheng with a straight face,

"Everyone is gone, so what are you looking for? Grandma is telling you, don't be like Fool and get tangled up with a widow."

When Su Cheng heard this, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Although Qin Huairu was really good-looking and was now the top of the obese world, he really didn't have the intention to do so.

When you see a woman, you can't control the few things in your trouser pockets. They are wild beasts. Su Cheng is not one of them. He immediately explained,

"Grandma, what are you doing here? I was just thinking about what Qin Huairu wanted to do by sending us steamed buns this early in the morning. Look, what you said, is your grandson like that?"

Who would have thought that the old lady would faintly say:

"Who knows?"
