Chapter 553 Who is the first to realize the big dream
This feeling is very subtle, especially the anxious feeling of "I want to tell you," but "but I can't." It is often very worrying.
It's like you have seen the overall situation in advance and predicted your destiny, but you are still unable to intervene and can only watch yourself step by step towards the destined ending.
However, this is the rule of dreams. Whether it is active or passive, since you choose to enter, you must abide by it.
This is quite dramatic, just like what I often say in the real world: all time travel is false, and everything "going back to the past" is the wishful thinking of the parties involved.
Because we are destined to not be able to go back to the beginning with the memories of the present!
If one day, due to some chance, we can truly go back to the past, then everything will definitely return to the original time point.
In this way, those of us who successfully "go back to the past" will make the same choices we made back then and taste the ups and downs of the past again, without any change in our destiny.
The only difference is that this journey "back to the past" is more like a dream, because you will eventually "travel" back.
At that time, except for the trance of "Who wakes up from a big dream first" and the deepening of some forgotten memories, there will be no difference from every day.
Perhaps, this more profound memory is the only change!
But even such slight changes occur in the post-present, not in the past.
This retreat did not take long. In a quiet enough environment, I gained insights into all the exercises and absorbed knowledge very quickly.
Despite this, we also encountered difficulties that were difficult to overcome.
For example, the second volume of "The Qi of Haoran", which I have been thinking about for a long time, is not as fast as the first volume in the process of practice. I can reach the level of perfection by flipping through it casually.
It is so obscure to read and requires time to polish and settle!
I have a feeling that once I take the Qitian Sword as the core and thoroughly sort out the past Confucian techniques that exist around it, then the success of the second volume of practice will be as simple as a matter of course.
After thinking about all this, I reluctantly chose to stop my practice. I opened my eyes and looked at everything in the cave around me. Sure enough, everything was exactly the same as before I retreated.
Suddenly, I noticed that there were multiple messages in the token given to me by the Supreme Elder. When I opened it, I found that it was all left by Yan Yuan and Dewey.
So far, only the Supreme Elder, Yan Yuan, and Dewey are aware of the existence of this token.
There is not much important information in their messages, but more of just daily concerns and sharing of some spiritual insights.
It's just that Dewey's work of gathering the people needed to explore the ruins is nearing completion, and he can set off with a little more preparation.
However, this seemingly ordinary information made me look in disbelief!
It's not because of how novel the content of these messages is, but because of the time when they were sent.
All the information came one after another within three months!
In other words, my retreat lasted for three months, not just the moment I felt when I woke up.
I never thought that a simple retreat would take so long.
And this time, it was also the longest time I spent in continuous retreat after entering the dream world.
Although it is different from other people's retreat practice which is often recorded in years, it has already broken my record.
"It's all because my talent is too high!" I thought happily.
Thinking about my past enlightenment, it was as simple as a daily meal, and even retreat was as unconscious as the enlightenment. The efficient use of time is simply outrageous!
Time is really interesting, it always makes people feel confused.
Many times, when you think a long time has passed, it may only be a moment.
There are also times when you think it has just passed for a while, but it may have been as long as thousands of years!
Just like what I encountered now, although it is not as terrifying as thousands of years, it still belongs to the latter.
After calming down, I thought about the path I wanted to take in the future.
Although my identity has undergone earth-shaking changes in a very short period of time, I have also learned many secrets that only senior Confucian students have access to.
But no matter which angle you look at it, I am essentially just a new disciple of Qitian Academy, and I urgently need to integrate into this group as soon as possible.
This process is very similar to those I have experienced in the real world, where I was promoted from junior high school to junior high school, then promoted to high school, and finally jumped into the college entrance examination and entered the higher education institution of my choice.
During this period, every change involves a process of adaptation to the new environment, and every experience is like a scene in a long life.
Think about it, isn't our life just made up of one piece of scenery after another?
It continues until the end of our lives!
During this period, we will meet many people, most of whom are just passers-by in a certain scenery and disappear in the blink of an eye.
Also during this period, we will do a lot of things, which will not only become memories for us, but also push us to move forward.
And now, I am facing such a moment again, a key node that seamlessly transitions from the old scenery to the new scenery.
However, the Confucian academy is so similar to my own experience in reality that it makes me feel a sense of intimacy.
The only thing I cannot, and am not sure about, is how much influence from the real world is there in this dream world of cultivating immortals, why such scenes with such similar characteristics appear?
Is the emergence of this dream world caused by "thinking about it day by day and dreaming about it at night"? Or is it an alien space, and I have experienced some soul travel?
There are many questions that I can't think deeply about because there are no answers at all, or I can't find the answers yet.
"In that case, let's live the present moment! What should come will eventually come, and what should be known will definitely be known!" I thought optimistically.
"Since I have come to Confucianism, one of the three sects in the world, I must learn everything about this inheritance to be worthy of my journey of cultivating immortality!"
"If possible, I will not only study Confucianism, but also Taoism, Buddhism, and even all the inheritances in this world, large and small, to study heaven and man!"
"Talk about the highest ideals, set the best goals, and be the most awesome immortal!" I thought, and the corners of my mouth curved up inadvertently. (To be continued)
