Chapter 26 The Devil's Text

The fire disappeared, but the traces it left behind did not disappear. The ground was burned by this terrible flame, revealing black scorched earth.

The Flame of Reality is a kind of flame with a lifespan. It is not like ordinary flames. It can keep burning as long as the conditions are met. From the time it is born to the time it burns out, it only lasts a minute or two. As for the reason, we have even studied it.

The demon king Richard who has been here for hundreds of years doesn't know either. He can only explain it as some kind of rule.

"What text is this?"

After a while, Greer and others dared to come closer. They also knew that the flames were so powerful that they would almost certainly die if caught by them.

"I don't know, maybe it's the magician's own writing."

Lilith frowned, squatted down and touched the manhole cover that was still intact. The words on it quickly disappeared and only lasted for tens of seconds.

However, at this time, the Demon King not far away widened his eyes and showed a shocked expression.

This is impossible! What's going on! How can there be such writing in this world.

Demon King Richard frowned.

This is a script he created three hundred years ago, called Richard script. It is a script that combines the essence of ancient elven script, ancient human script, and origin symbols. It is a script created specifically for magic.

No more than ten people knew this writing. Due to an accident, Demon King Richard sealed this writing. Logically speaking, it should not be spread.

But there are words that shouldn’t appear in this world.

It seems necessary to investigate carefully.

"Master Master? Are you thinking about something?"

Reina raised her head, looking like she was about to cry because Demon King Richard ignored her.

"Ah? What's wrong?"

The Demon King came back to his senses. His attention was distracted a lot by the clone, so he was in a daze.

Reina immediately regained her smile, held a curved leaf and said, "Master, look!"

Maybe this curved leaf is inconspicuous, but in the eyes of the devil, it is simply a miracle.

He looked at the girl's face.

This guy has a very good understanding of magic.

"Well done. I didn't expect such great progress in just a few days. It's very good, but don't relax and keep working hard."

He patted Reina's head appreciatively, and Reina looked like she was enjoying it.

"good."

She went back to practice in a hurry, and the devil looked at her petite figure and fell into deep thought.

Is what I teach her really suitable for her?

Mysterious words, manhole covers that cannot be opened, clues that cannot be solved, and all kinds of worries come to mind, making Lilith unable to read in peace.

It seemed very quiet tonight, but she didn't stop reading.

No, it's too quiet.

She raised her head and glanced at her companions. Greer was still cleaning his two swords. Those two swords seemed more important than his life.

Auro yawned and stood in front of the campfire. He was like a ball and would not move without pushing.

Dudolo was lying on the bed, crossing his legs and scratching his back, playing with something secretly, probably something he stole from somewhere.

Yes, the most suspicious thing is him.

Lilith looked at Lin Chad who was sitting in the darkness. His mouth was not sealed, but his hands were roasted with magic handcuffs.

It's strange how this guy can be so quiet.

Demon King Richard noticed her gaze and turned his head to look over. Lilith quickly looked away and pretended to be reading.

It's a strange feeling. Shouldn't we complain about this and that at times like this? Although it makes people a little irritated, but now no one is talking, it makes people uneasy.

She pretended to cough and said, "The rabbit Dudolo brought back today is quite delicious."

It was like throwing a stone into a bottomless pit, and there was no response at all. The other three people had no reaction at all, which made Lilith, the captain, feel very embarrassed.

"By the way Oro, remember the magic you mentioned last time that can make the flames burn longer? I thought of it, just add a little..."

"No thank you." Auro interrupted her, which was rare.

The atmosphere suddenly became awkward and suddenly returned to a state of silence.

Lilith frowned and said displeasedly: "What's going on with you guys tonight? You're all lifeless. We're all companions. If you have anything to say, just tell us and discuss it together."

"But you didn't say anything." Oro muttered.

"What did you just say?" Lilith asked, glaring at him, and Auro lowered his head.

"nothing."

He said calmly.

Lilith stood up with her hands on her waist. Just when she was about to have a good talk with Oro, Greer suddenly said: "He is right."

"What do you mean? Am I hiding everything from you?"

Lilith felt a little unreasonable.

Greer wiped the sword in his hand and said indifferently: "Who knows, at least you didn't say anything about our current situation."

"I also failed today." Auro added.

"I know! How many times have I told you, I will find a way!" Lilith said impatiently.

"How to find it? How do you know if it can work, and why do you believe that what that thing says is the key to unlocking the seal?" Greer suddenly put down the sword in his hand and said loudly.

"And how long are we going to stay in this damn place?" Auro added.

Lilith sighed and said, "Don't you just believe me?"

"I don't know much about magic, and I don't know how difficult it is to break this seal, but I only know that if we continue to make trouble like today or if you go berserk again, we will all die here!

"

Greer said harshly.

As the oldest person in the team, he rarely gets angry like this.

Lilith gritted her teeth, turned her face and said, "If you are afraid, you can go back now, I won't stop you."

"What's the use of saying such depressing words? I'm just reminding you now that if you can't solve it, we're just wasting our time here. We might as well go back to the town and see if there's any damn magic or witchcraft that can solve it.

Open this damn seal!"

Greer's voice sounded particularly loud in this quiet ruins. For some reason, the darkness here was scarier than other places, as if there was something hidden inside.

Lilith shook her head and said, "We absolutely cannot go back."

Greer felt a little unreasonable and said: "Why? Are we trapped here?"

"No." Lilith gritted her teeth, her face looking a little ugly.

"If we don't go back with the Tears of God, we will be targeted for purge and wanted by the empire."

After saying that, the three of them looked at her with shocked eyes, and even Dotolo, who was sleeping on the bed, jumped up.

"What! Please make it clear."

Dotolo asked.

"That is to say, we can only succeed and cannot fail."

The firelight shone on the right side of Lilith's face, and everyone could only see her profile.

"I should have guessed that there was something wrong with this ridiculously high remuneration. You really were hiding something." Greer shook his head and sat back.

"No! It can't be! I don't want to die yet!" Auro collapsed, scratching his head and yelled.

"If I had known earlier, I shouldn't have come! You damn magic idiot, you actually concealed such an important thing." Dotolo asked unceremoniously.

Seeing that this small team was about to split up, a cold voice came from the darkness: "If you want to break the seal, I have a way."

The noisy four people immediately fell silent. They looked in the direction from which the sound came, and saw Demon King Richard sitting on the stone, looking at them with a half-smiling expression.
