(This is a whole chapter of nonsense. In fact, this is the preface of this book.)
I guess some people must be wondering why it is better to write it before Chapter 3 instead of before Chapter 1.
Because every first chapter of a novel is published, the reading must be reviewed.
What if the reviewer sees that I’ve been writing nonsense for a long time and doesn’t let me pass?
I guess some people still want to ask why it’s not written before Chapter 2.
Because the number 2 is really not very friendly.
In fact, the purpose of posting this chapter is to talk about the postscript of "Fu Er" with old readers of "Fu Er"; second, to talk about some of my thoughts on writing books in the past two years; and third, to talk to readers and friends.
Let’s talk about some ideas about the new book.
I'm going to break it down into three parts.
…
[First, the idea of writing a book]
Five years have passed since I first tried to write a book in 2015.
At that time, I had just entered the industry and I was really very energetic.
When I look at the sudden list of Internet writers on the Forbes list, I feel like I can write what these writers on the list write, and my writing must be better than them.
Then I went in and found that it was really a big wall.
It was so big and hard that it immediately made me dizzy.
The name of the first book is "Wei Buer", and it was published until the founding of the world. All old book friends know how miserable it was.
In fact, I was quite obsessed with classical martial arts novels at the time. My initial thought was that the reason why there were fewer readers of martial arts novels was not because Jin Yong, Gu Long, Liang Yusheng, Huang Yi and others were not good enough, but because readers on the Internet read fairy tale novels and read Power
Something of a higher level, if you can't calm down and read a martial arts novel where swords come and go and can't fly like sand and rocks.
So my idea is to write fairy novels in the style of martial arts novels, portray the emotions of the characters well, and then increase the level of power so that they can fly around and swallow mountains and rivers. This will attract traditional martial arts lovers.
, and can seduce readers of online novels.
So readers who read "Wei Buer" at that time saw a lot of traces of Jin Lao.
Looking back, let me now talk about why the market for traditional martial arts novels is getting smaller and smaller. My opinion is that they are no longer new.
It’s not that the audience is picky, or that the book isn’t good enough, it’s just that I read too much.
The content, elements, and routines inside are within the original framework, and it is difficult to write new ideas.
Just like when I was a kid, I ate Yili bitter coffee. When I tasted it for the first time, I thought how could there be such a delicious thing in the world.
It was still delicious the second time, but by the thirtieth time it was almost gone.
After eating the 250th stick, and eating it every day, I felt like vomiting when I saw the packaging bag.
The same is true for novels.
The same is true for most things in the world.
A routine, a type of element, a taste, the same feeling, a taste. If you experience it too many times, you will feel that it is tasteless.
It is not difficult to understand that the failure of "Wei Buer" on the road of online novels should also be inevitable.
I really couldn't make it in Creation, so I went to the starting point and took a small step closer to the direction of Internet culture. I put a lot of effort into the sense of immersion in the beginning. I remember that the beginning of the book was revised back and forth for about 20 times.
Multiple versions.
Later, in order to bring more freshness to the audience and enhance the possibilities of the novel, many golden finger supporting characters were added.
This setting was a very good selling point at the time, but it was obviously a bit unbearable later on. I will talk about this later when I have the opportunity.
Having said so much before, what I really want to say is, first, regarding the writing of online articles, the water is really deep, and it is not as easy as I thought.
Those great masters whose books are selling well, no matter how I thought I was better than them at the beginning, in the end I was still much worse.
What I want to say is, secondly, I was very ambitious and ambitious when I started writing novels. I once thought that I might be able to lead the trend of online novels.
Of course it looks like a complete joke now.
I don't know how high the sky is.
What I wanted to do most at that time was express my thoughts.
Then I feel that if I express these ideas, readers will like it, and they will like it very much.
So I wrote a protagonist like Wei Buer who created the world.
A protagonist who keeps growing just like I thought he would.
The sad thing is that at the beginning, I wrote Wei Buer as a poor child who looked like a fool.
I look forward to laying the groundwork step by step, step by step, so that everyone can feel this kind of growth.
So the unlucky boy Wei Buer suffered various setbacks, his village was massacred, his childhood sweetheart actually looked down on him, his playmates teased him, and the immortal master who came to patrol and save the village looked down on him and deliberately threw him away...
…Let me go, this is just the beginning.
When you think about it, what I wrote is really cruel.
As a result, the book was not signed, and many readers persuaded them to withdraw.
Therefore, in the beginning of the book "Buer Dao", there is Wei Buer, who is not very smart, but can still be clever.
Written in this way, I finally did not dissuade most readers at the beginning.
What I want to say is that I don’t want to write the kind of article that people don’t like to read, but I just don’t understand what I want to express when I write about Wei Buer. It’s quite sad. Most readers don’t
Favorite works.
Most people who write novels are emotional people.
Most of them like to read casual books when they are studying, and most of them try to write novels when they are in school. That's how I am.
I won't give up my feelings and original ideas, but I will learn to better balance my expression with readers' likes.
I am growing. I firmly believe that my book will be better than "Wei Buer" and better than "Buer Dao" because I believe in my growth.
[Second, about the new book]
The Internet literary world, especially the Internet literary circle of Qidian, has undergone very wonderful changes in the past two years.
I think there are at least these points:
First, it pays great attention to fresh experience. That is to say, readers are eager for the author to create an unprecedented world view, using the perspective of the protagonist and the way of experience to reveal the whole world to the readers bit by bit.
Needless to say, the masterpiece "Lord of Mysteries" is also the same for Lanke Qiyuan.
Second, we attach great importance to creating new ideas, that is, the ability to bury and dig out new ideas.
I believe that many authors have mastered the art of borrowing jokes from jokes.
And the author himself creates some memes that can be widely circulated. That is even more remarkable.
Generally speaking, the author with stronger ability to create memes will be more active in this chapter.
There is also the ability to continuously expand the focus around core themes, and one that does well is "My Senior Brother is Too Steady".
Thirdly, novels about warm daily life are getting better and better in the activeness mentioned in this chapter, and in the face that everyone is tired of seeing all kinds of upgrades and slaps in the face.
If an author can write interesting daily stories, then almost all types of novels can be of great use.
Fourth, everything will change.
No matter how fresh the world is, you will get tired of it if you watch it too much. No matter how funny the jokes are, you will be overwhelmed by them. However, excellent characterization and the ability to construct plots enable an author to keep going, and even a work to attract readers all the way.
The last key.
Of course, the fourth point is not actually a change, but an objective fact that has always existed.
In "The Illustrated Book of Monsters of the Tang Dynasty", I will try to grasp these four key points. On top of this, I will try to express what I want to express.
This time, I am going to make an oath here.
I must conscientiously finish this book from beginning to end, and write it to the point where I am most satisfied, otherwise I will be a hammer.
[Third, about the Non-Eternal Avenue]
Many old readers asked me where the epilogue went and where the extra chapters went.
In fact, I really wanted to write a postscript at that time.
As a result, once the book was published, you all criticized it.
I went. Although the ending was a bit anxious, I really thought about filling in all the big holes for more than half a year.
Can you give me some face?
The result is that the postscript of Fuji Dao has not been released until now.
Today, let’s talk about the Second Avenue.
In fact, this book has been written very seriously.
The reason why I finished it in a hurry is actually because in the process of writing the book at that time, I gained a lot of new understanding and new ideas about online articles. I was very eager to reflect this understanding and ideas in the book.
Of course, I couldn’t open a new book to express my feelings, so at first I actually wanted to go back and revise Fuji Dao, and rewrite many of the things I was dissatisfied with. As a result, since the book was already on the shelves, many chapters could not be changed, which left me scratching my head.
I was anxious, so in the last thought, I might as well open a new book to practice what I gained.
After thinking about it for a long time, I finally concluded the best way.
The sad thing is that when I wrote a new book, I wrote about a dozen topics, some of which I wrote more than 100,000 words on, but I was still not satisfied and finally abandoned them all.
Until I chose the theme of "The Monster Illustrated Book of the Tang Dynasty", I was really satisfied and felt that it had a lot of room for development. It was particularly suitable for experience-oriented writing. The world view was also very fresh, and there was a lot of room for characterization.
That's too far.
Finally, let’s talk about the protagonist of the new book, Dancing Horse.
All in all, the protagonists in online novels in this era basically cannot have a painful present.
So I gave Wu Ma, the protagonist of "The Monster Manual of the Tang Dynasty", a painful past. When he came to the new world, his wisdom and ability had already grown to a certain height.
But for the sake of the readability, development and anticipation of the story, I made the dancing horse unsatisfactory and forced him to continue his pursuit.
The outline is very clear. My purpose in the first half is to attract people, and in the second half my purpose is to complete it.
I have been criticized for the criticisms pointed out by everyone in the last book. It is definitely not good to finish a book too hastily. This time I will describe the world slowly and slowly.
At the same time, I will still give the dancing horse space to grow and change.
If a character's mental journey doesn't change much from the beginning to the end, then what's the point?
Whatever comes to mind, I write.
In the first two chapters of the book, I'd better write less nonsense.
Ha ha.
————
I went, and when I was about to go to bed, I suddenly remembered that there was something very important that I hadn’t talked about.
This is one of the important changes in Qidian novels - full interaction with readers.
To put it simply, it means readers’ comments anytime and anywhere.
All kinds of unscrupulous comments.
Bottomless comments.
Yes, I really need comments like this, I need ideas, I need lots and lots of comments.
Therefore, please don't be polite and criticize the male protagonist as much as you want, trample him, insult him, and tease him without any bottom line.
Because only in this way can it bring endless inspiration to the author.
Please, gentlemen.
Now I can tell the truth - in fact, I only wrote the first two chapters of this novel, and the rest were all copied from the passages in this chapter.
