Chapter 37 The Monks of Guanyin Temple

To be honest, the image that appears on the book-carving light screen is very much like a micro-movie.

After the video was played, a fist-sized furbolg phantom floated above Dancing Horse's head and stayed there for a long time.

Immediately afterwards, the light curtain emitted from the book sculpture dimmed instantly until it disappeared.

Wu Ma looked around. Yuwen Jianxue and Qingxia were standing on the same spot, looking confused. Liu Wenjing looked straight ahead, as if she still had unfinished thoughts.

Qingxia said: "You have all seen it - a fantasy."

"God's will!" Liu Wenjing's face lit up, "This is God's will. What I said...there is really a God!"

Everyone briefly talked about the images they saw, but they were all different. Liu Wenjing saw burning paper, Yuwen Jianxue saw snow falling in the clear sky, and Qingxia saw a green grassland.

“God’s will is so clear, is it still called God’s will?”

Liu Wenjing clasped her hands and bowed to her natal statue again and again, "It is said that other people's Awakening Towers also have divine decrees, but no one can tell what the divine decrees are. They all have to figure it out by themselves - once you figure it out, you will know it."

beneficial!"

"benefit?"

"All in all, it's good for us to practice awakening techniques," Liu Wenjing said, "It's impossible for other awakening disciples to tell us about this. It's good if I can get some wind. From now on, it's up to us to figure it out ourselves."

This is too suspenseful.

"Then how to explore?" Yuwen Jianxue said: "You can't just hug the statue and look at it with big eyes."

"Who knows," Liu Wenjing said, "I probably have to look around -

A flower, a leaf, a scenery, a person, a weapon, a story...I heard people say that these are all possible, it all depends on your own luck."

Liu Wenjing said, her face flushed, and she looked outside the hall, obviously she couldn't stay any longer.

"This is too vague..." Someone muttered.

All in all, what needs to be done next is clear.

Each of the four people got an image of divine decree, so let’s explore it.

"Oh, right."

Liu Wenjing strode to the door and was about to go out when she suddenly remembered something and turned around and said, "It is said that some divine decrees are time-limited."

He said, pointing to his head, "You all have phantoms on your heads. When it disappears, the time limit has passed and the opportunity has been missed——

I would like to remind you in advance that these divine opportunities are hard-won. We have this blessing because we built a new Awakening Tower this time. You must cherish it."

After saying that, he looked anxious and hurried out of the hall.

Yuwen Jianxue also followed her out. Her image was of a clear sky with snow falling, so naturally there could be no clues in the hall.

However, Qingxia was still in the main hall with no sign of leaving. Wu Ma was too lazy to pay attention to her and sat cross-legged on the ground, thinking about her own image metaphor.

Furbolgs, courtyards, fires... the dancing horse seems to have caught something vaguely.

Qingxia walked up to him and said with a smile: "Wu Langjun, I have to ask you to help me again."

The dancing horse is silent.

"I know,"

Qingxia sat barefoot beside him, leaning her knees against his knees, rubbing them lightly,

"You're angry with me. Can you calm down? After all, I have difficulties too."

Wu Ma said: "The four of us each have our own images and follow our own divine will. How can I help you?"

"You are the one who can help me the most," Qingxia pointed to the place where the light screen image was previously staged, "because you are included in my divine will."

"Grassland?" Wu Ma was stunned for a moment.

"No," Qingxia chuckled, "I lied to them. My illusion of divine decree is a flickering candle in a dark and silent chamber."

Hearing this, Wu Ma immediately understood why Qingxia came to him for help.

"No help."

"Don't talk nonsense," Qingxia was not annoyed and said with a smile: "We might as well make a deal. I will help you find out your divine will first, and then you can help me."

"It doesn't take any effort, I can do it myself."

"OK,"

Qingxia said: "I want to see how Mr. Wu Lang can break it——

I have to tell you in advance that the phenomenon of divine decree is not that simple. When you can't break it, come to me again, and I will raise the price."

At first, Wu Ma thought that the divine image was a hint to explore the furbolg map, but he found nothing.

Looking at the shadow of the furbolg above the head, it is slightly lighter than it was at the beginning.

Looking at it like this, it will disappear completely in less than half a day.

"There can be no further delay."

He carefully recalled the scene of the divine decree. The blazing courtyard seemed like a temple.

So he called a soldier who was familiar with the local customs and led him around Jinyang, large and small temples, but still found nothing.

During this period, Qingxia followed the horse dance.

Wu Ma couldn't help but ask her: "Are you okay?"

"I have figured it out a long time ago," Qingxia said, "Whether my divine decree can be solved or not depends entirely on you, so naturally I will follow you."

"Don't waste time."

"That's not necessarily true," Qingxia said with a smile, "You won't help me, but I can help you."

"unnecessary."

Dancing Horse flicked his long sleeves and buried his head into another temple.

Qingxia watched his back disappear at the entrance of the courtyard, her smile gradually disappeared, and the shadow of the half-dark flames flashed across her face, showing a pensive face, and soon she went to another place.

Walking out of a temple in the northern suburbs, the soldier leading the way said: "Wu Langjun, this is the last temple in Jinyang City. It will be far away to find other temples."

It was almost dusk at this time, and the shadow above the dancing horse's head was only a faint layer. I secretly planned to follow this trend, and thought that the shadow would disappear with only three or five sticks of incense.

Listening to Liu Wenjing's words, it is not easy to get a divine decree. It would be a pity to miss it like this.

But it was too late to leave Jinyang and look elsewhere.

He refused to give up his last hope, so he said to the soldier leading the way: "You are troubled, let's search nearby to see which courtyard has the more impressive buildings."

As he said that, he looked at the soldier in front of him. He had been running with him for most of the day, working diligently without any slack. At this time, there were black marks of sweat on his face, his face looked a little sleepy, and his stomach was growling.

Dancing Horse then said: "If it doesn't work this time, let's go back and I'll treat you to a nice meal."

The soldier's heart warmed up, and he smiled and said he was not tired. He had never seen Mr. Wu Lang be so considerate of his subordinates, so I'd better treat you.

While the two were talking, a handsome figure in purple clothes hurried over from a distance.

When I got closer, I saw clearly that the person coming was Qingxia.

I just heard her say from a distance: "Wu Langjun, come with me."

Seeing that the dancing horse was standing still, Qingxia said again: "I found a temple that you haven't been to before."

The soldier leading the way said: "It's impossible. I grew up in Jinyang. I must not lead Wu Langjun astray."

Wu Ma looked at Qingxia, but still said nothing.

"The shadow is almost gone," Qingxia pointed at the top of his head, "There isn't much time left anyway, so why not use a dead horse as a living horse doctor?"

The dancing horse then walked towards her.

Qingxia led the way, with Wu Ma and the soldier following behind. After walking not far, the official road was gone, and she vaguely saw someone in the distance.

Three hills are connected, and there is a vaguely outlined courtyard on the mountainside in the middle.

The strange thing is that it is clearly dusk now and the sky is getting dark. But this hill is still as bright as day.

There are colorful clouds and red clouds on the hill, which is a beautiful scenery.

The soldier leading the way was stunned and murmured: "It's strange...there used to be no temple here. There was nothing."

"I don't blame you," Wu Ma said, "This is not a normal thing."

Then she said to Qingxia: "Even if you lead the way, don't expect me to help you.

"Whether you appreciate it or not," Qingxia said with a smile, "you will always feel guilty, right?"

Wu Ma was silent for a moment, then looked at the top of her head, "The time limit for your divine decree is almost up."

"It doesn't matter, I just save favors. I may not use them all at once."

Qingxia blinked her eyes.

Dancing Horse didn't dare to delay any longer and went straight to the mountain in the middle.

Entering the mountain forest, you will see a bluestone path leading directly to the temple halfway up the mountain.

Both sides of the road are lined with pines and cypresses, green and green, deep and shallow, reflecting the red clouds in the sky, it is a beautiful scenery.

In the distance, there is a misty white mist in the forest. You can faintly see deer and rabbits galloping around. Birds are chirping beside your ears, and the trees are leisurely. It has its own quiet artistic conception.

Wu Ma couldn't help but think: "If at any time, I have thoroughly understood this fantasy awakening world and it is no longer interesting, I will find a place like this to live in seclusion and live alone, without worries and worries."

The best time in life is when a rabbit walks a bird."

While thinking about it, I hurriedly walked up the road and soon arrived at an open space in front of the temple.

I saw a plaque hanging on the gate of the courtyard with the three characters "Guanyin Yuan" written on it.

On the right side there is a couplet "Shangsha Gion Garden Hidden Green Nest", and on the left side it is "Zhaoti Scenic Spot Sai Saha."

Hengpi means "Pure Land Human World".

I couldn't help but think in my mind: In Chapter 16 of Journey to the West, "The Monk at Guanyin Yuan Seeks the Treasure and the Black Wind Mountain Monster Steals the Kasaya", wasn't the temple where Tang Monk and his disciples went to Guanyin Yuan? I felt a little moved in my heart.

I stepped on my feet and looked into the temple. I saw palaces and pavilions stacked one on top of another, towering bells and drums, and a pagoda with exquisite style, which was somewhat similar to my own Awakening Pagoda named Tang Dynasty.

Standing at the entrance of the courtyard was a young monk in gray clothes, with his hands clasped together and his eyes closed to meditate. His face was peaceful, and he looked quite like Buddhist Zen.

Dancing Horse thought: What a quiet and holy place. If my vision of divine will is really here, it would be a great blessing.

He asked the soldier to wait outside, walked to the gate of the courtyard, saluted the young monk guarding the door with his hands clasped, and said hello, young master. He thought that since everyone was here, he might as well say hello before entering.

But the young monk remained motionless, his eyes still closed, as if he hadn't heard him at all.

The dancing horse called repeatedly but received no response. Thinking that time was running out, he went straight into the temple.

As soon as I entered the courtyard, I noticed something was wrong——

A whooshing cold wind blew in from the doorway. All the monks he saw were dressed in bright cassocks. They all clasped their hands together, closed their eyes tightly, and did not speak.

Dancing Horse asked questions loudly, but no one answered.

He walked into the main hall of the temple and saw a wrinkled bald abbot wearing an eye-catching red cassock, kowtowing to the Buddha statue.

When Wu Ma spoke to him, he couldn't hear him at all, so he just kept his head down and kowtowed.

Dancing Horse stayed in the yard for a while longer, wandering around, but nothing gained except the gloomy discomfort all over his body.

Seeing that the shadow above my head is getting lighter and lighter, I am thinking about other methods.

But outside the temple, Qingxia waved to him from a distance: "Wu Langjun, come here!"

Wu Ma walked over, and Qingxia took him to a high ground, "Come here and see."

Wu Ma stood at Qingxia's finger and looked in the direction of the temple.

Immediately I was shocked and felt that the appearance of this temple was very similar to the courtyard I saw in the fantasy.

"You go this way again."

Qingxia took Wu Ma's arm, took two more steps forward, and pointed in the direction of the temple.

Dancing Horse followed and took a look, and there was a faint flash of fire inside the temple.

And the position he was in at the moment and the angle of his sight were very similar to the situation when the furbolg was observing the burning courtyard.

He took another step back and the fire disappeared.

Then I thought that the fire in Journey to the West was set by the master of Guanyin Yuan, for the sake of Monk Tang's cassock.

I couldn't help but think of the bright red cassock worn by the old monk who just walked into the hall.

Kasaya, yes...that's the cassock, the big red cassock!

At this time, the shadow above the head of the dancing horse was very faint and blurry.

He figured out the key and immediately ran to the temple. Qingxia followed him hurriedly.

"Wait for me!"

However, the soldier who was leading the way saw that there was something strange about this place. He was left alone outside and felt inexplicably panic, so he chased the two of them back.

As soon as I entered the temple gate, the strong cold wind rushed into the neck of the dancing horse.

He didn't care about the various monks wandering around sweeping the courtyard.

He buried his head and ran straight to the main hall in the middle.

After running a few steps, I suddenly heard a scream from the soldier behind me.

Only then did he regain his composure, and when he looked back again, he couldn't help but take a breath of air--

All the monks in the courtyard were gone, leaving only skeletons covered in cassocks. They clasped their hands together and looked at the three dancing horses with ghostly fire in their eyes...
