Chapter 98 The past of the nun

Not every part of the hall has excellent lighting, and some places are very dark. An ordinary nun or monk would probably need a lamp to see clearly the person lying on the bed.

There are about 120 people in the hall where Lorraine Hill is located, divided into two rows on both sides of the hall, with a spacious aisle in the middle.

They were dressed in different ways, some were wearing oriental costumes, some seemed to come from Greenland, and some from the Southern Islands.

It was already afternoon, and the sun was shining brightly outside, but it was a bit cold inside the hall. Occasionally, the wind came through, bringing a bit of coolness.

Luo Xier felt the breeze flowing through her wrists and fingertips, and there was already a hint of heat in it.

It's already May.

Time flies so fast, she sighed in her heart, then walked to one side with a wooden board and pen and started asking.

"Hello, I am a nun from Aquarius. How are you these two days? Do you have any discomfort?" The voice was as clear and sweet as an orchid in an empty valley.

Some of the patients who were close opened their eyes and looked at the new nun with gratitude, admiration, prayer, happiness, etc.

The difference from Lorraine Hill at the banquet is that these people rarely have greedy and malicious eyes.

But come to think of it, what evil person would do such a thankless thing, come from thousands of miles away, and then hike up the sacred mountain of Kalunriel. This nearly 100 kilometers of road has ups and downs, and is all uphill.

, cliffs, mountain roads, and iron cables.

Fatigue, cold, and hunger tortured these travelers, but they regarded it as a test to hone their hearts.

By the time they climbed to the Holy Angel Cathedral at the top of the mountain, many people were already covered in bruises. If they were left alone, they would probably die of various illnesses soon after coming down the mountain.

Therefore, Aquarius will rescue some seriously injured pilgrims.

After hearing Lorraine Hill's inquiry, the pilgrim opened his eyes and said in a slightly hoarse voice, "My body hurts, but it's better than yesterday..." After saying that, he squeezed out a smile and let this man

Don't worry about the silver-haired nun.

"Okay, I understand, you should lie down first." Luo Xier said.

She used her system and perception to observe it herself. She found that this young man in his twenties must have fallen from the mountain and rolled a long distance in the mountain, so that there were bruises and fractures in many places on his body.

Fortunately, a priest has treated him before, and the bones have basically been reattached. If the muscles need to be nursed back to health for a while, they will probably be fine.

Seeing that the problem was not serious, the girl nodded slightly, then walked to the next person and continued the process.

Among the pilgrims, some are nearly eighty years old, some are under twenty, some are ordinary people, and some are Sequence 3 extraordinary beings.

When faced with Lorraine Hill's inquiries, most of them would respond cooperatively, and few would cause trouble or make things difficult for the nun. After all, they were all fanatical believers and would abide by the good teachings.

As time passed, Luo Xier moved forward. When asked about the 76th patient, her eyes widened slightly, and a faint brilliance flashed in her blue pupils.

"Hello, I am a nun from Aquarius. How are you these two days? Do you have any discomfort?"

The man raised his head and looked at Luo Xier blankly. He didn't speak for a long time, so the girl asked again.

"Miss Sister, there's no need to ask. He's always been like this. He's probably a fool." Another patient on the bed next to him said.

"Yeah?"

Rocher looked at the confused pilgrim. He was about 30 years old, with a slight beard on his cheeks. His clothes were light blue with black stripes, and the fabric was fine cotton. Judging from the style and workmanship, he seemed to be from

Near Ubere.

The girl had seen a lot of this kind of fabric when she was in Carites before. They were all from a large chamber of commerce in Ubere. They were competitors with Carites in the textile field, and most of the clothes they sold were of this style.

.

Judging by his clothing, this middle-aged man must have a good fortune and come from Frost Rose. He seemed to have lost his memory and didn't answer anything.

When he approached, Lorraine Hill noticed a trace of something different. It was very weak, but the slight sense of distortion and dissonance reminded the girl that this patient had probably been attacked by the phantom of chaos.

Are there still phantoms of chaos wandering outside now? A dark cloud appeared in the girl's heart.

She wanted to question the middle-aged man more carefully, but unfortunately time and occasion did not allow it.

She had just started working today and was asked by the nun in charge of the main hall not to treat these people without authorization.

This is to prevent some medical accidents, or the newly arrived nuns triggering requests from other patients, causing disruption to order, etc.

After writing down the patient's bed number, Luo Xier carefully checked it again to make sure that there was no phantom of chaos on him, and then continued to move to the next patient.

But this middle-aged man was still sitting on the bed, motionless. From the courtyard outside the hall, there were bursts of birdsong, accompanied by the sound of leaves shaking.

-------

Three days later, the Aquarius Palace was a little quieter, and a nun in her thirties led Luo Xier on the stone path of the Aquarius Palace.

"Why do those people worship angels so much?" Rocher asked the black-haired nun in front of her.

But the nun didn't answer directly.

"Luoxier should have been very happy when she was a child," she said.

"But many people's lives are not beautiful. They have faced a lot of harm since childhood, some of which are physical and some of which are mental." The nun looked at the sky and seemed to be feeling emotional.

"When I was a child, I spent every day being insulted and blamed. I thought I was the one who brought misfortune to my family. I have always been in pain, feeling low self-esteem, feeling guilty and feeling uncomfortable."

"It wasn't until many years later when I left home and worked with strangers that things got better, because people wouldn't scold me for no reason."

“That’s when I gradually realized what the world really looks like.”

"But it's still hard for me to be happy. Even if a good-looking boy confesses to me, I will be terrified. If my life goes smoothly, I will feel anxious."

"Because this is an abnormal phenomenon and a very strange thing for me. There should be more hardships. How can a humble person like me get such happiness? There must be something wrong somewhere. Maybe others

You are lying to me, maybe there are loopholes and oversights that I am not aware of."

"During this period, some friends also enlightened me, and I gradually realized that this idea was wrong."

"But the pain of life has been formed and cannot be healed. I can only live in the world with this incompleteness."

"After that, I gradually converted to the church and came here to help others to appease the gap in my heart."

"I have to do more than others, and work harder, so that my anxiety can be somewhat calmed down."

"It is precisely because I understand the incompleteness and regret in my heart that I yearn for and worship that kind of purity and flawlessness."

"If you put it this way, you may be able to understand the reasons why these people converted to the church."

"There are many people among us who have extraordinary power. We understand that God may only be a more powerful person, but the pure light and thoughts in the angel sequence are the distant ideal land we follow."

The nun stopped as she spoke, turned her head and looked at the silver-haired girl behind her.

"I'm sorry, I said more, but Luo Xier doesn't need to feel uneasy about it."

"Not understanding is the norm in life, but understanding is rare and happy."
