Summary and remarks of 'I Desire to Ride the Star of the Han Dynasty'
I want to ride on the Chaxing Han——Summary and remarks of the World Honored One
This novel is coming to an end.
The World Honored One is a very important volume. In the history of the book, the Middle Ages can be regarded as a connecting era. The World Honored One is an unavoidable legend in the Middle Ages.
As far as the structure of the entire novel is concerned, "The World Honored One" also plays a key role in tying up all the previous branches and continuing the ending. It is like the neck of an hourglass.
After thinking about it, a more appropriate metaphor should be "fighting backwards", because it is not in the middle section, but in the end section.
I have always had a "phobia of lack of firepower", which manifests itself in the fact that before I wrap up the clues and fill in the holes, I always feel that I am not prepared enough, whether there is not enough foreshadowing, whether I am not emotionally enough, whether I am not prepared enough, or even whether my state is not enough.
…
I always feel that I have to lay the groundwork and "wait a little longer."
This "wait a little longer" and "wait until when" are often the source of anxiety in reading.
I always have this kind of self-comfort - I have to do this. For the sake of a better overall story, I should wait until the most perfect moment. In the process of setting up and laying out the thread, sometimes it is unavoidable that it is not exciting enough.
The reading experience is for the ultimate sacrifice. (Maybe I still think so)
But when I ranked first in the third list last year, I was thinking again——
This is the number one work on the list.
If we use the first standard to require it, where is the word "enough"?
Even if it is "enough", it should be "enough" towards a higher and better place, rather than saying that it is enough.
If readers have given the author unlimited support, can the author produce writing worthy of this support?
It's more than "Everyone has become who I am today", more than "The White Jade Capital in the Sky".
Even better, even better.
I want to take into account everything and the overall story, but also take into account the reading experience. I want to see if the process of foreshadowing can be more exciting, and the process of burying the thread can also be a part of the excitement.
It was in this mood that the volume "The World Honored One" was born.
This is my greater writing ambition.
Originally, I was thinking about this in the volume of Hua Zhangtianqiu.
Including Zhuge Yixian, Chu Liezong Xiong Ji, including Huang Weizhen, these most exciting romances in Chu, their big scenes were deliberately left to be written later.
If there are readers who followed the reading at that time and happened to have read the complexity of the current game of "Guan Lan Tian Zi San", they should be able to understand that my mental and physical state at that time was completely insufficient to support such writing.
An author's writing ability is not only his writing skills and writing time, but also the effort he puts into it, and has a huge relationship with his state.
Especially for a writer like me who needs emotions more.
There have been ups and downs in the long-term continuous serialization process.
Fortunately, after searching for "Chao Wen Dao", I once again believed that I could achieve this step, so I started the World Honored One.
Back to the writing of this volume.
The title of the volume is "The World-Honored One", but in fact the whole article is about asking——
What is the World Honored One?
In fact, the whole article is about how Jiang Wang got close to the World Honored One!
He has been severely beaten by reality and has a profound understanding that "young people must know how to advance and retreat." He has long adhered to the principle of staying within the sword.
He would sometimes take a look outside the sword circle and give it a try, but most of the time he knew... "If you cross the sword, you will die." Too many people have told him this.
At a level like Juepin, he no longer has many external threats. He can implement his own will and his own principles, and start to do something more or less throughout the entire world.
This is "Cry under my sword".
It is "Justice cannot only be in the human heart."
It is Chao Wen Dao Heavenly Palace.
The preface of "The World Honored One" is "free, blazing, dignified, famous, noble, and auspicious."
I believe many attentive readers have discovered that nineteen chapters after each preface is the next preface.
The first keyword I wrote was "name".
According to the Six Meanings of Bhagavan -
The meaning of the name: The Tathagata has perfected all the extraordinary merits and virtues, and is heard and known by everyone in the world in the ten directions, so it is called the name.
Therefore, I wrote about the knowledge of all realms, and the heavens spread his name.
The second word I wrote is "blazing".
The meaning of "blazing" is: the Tathagata's fierce fire of wisdom reaches out to no end, so it is called "blazing".
So I wrote about how Jiang Wang's wisdom and courage burned on the river viewing platform, and finally became as blazing as a flame.
The third word I wrote is "Duan Yan",
The meaning of Duanyan: The Tathagata's thirty-two characteristics are solemn and wonderful, so it is called Duanyan.
It was a solemn matter for the Emperor of Chu to appoint a prince.
Purifying rituals and becoming a Buddha are the thirty-two characteristics.
Jiang Wang has six aspects, and the Heavenly Palace preaches. The sword masters Wanxiang, and the Heavenly Palace attains the Dao.
Different paths lead to the same destination, both are strict.
The fourth word is "noble".
The meaning of nobility: The Tathagata was born in the royal palace from the Tusita heaven. After he became a monk, he ascended to the position of the ultimate fruit and facilitated the benefit of all sentient beings. Therefore, it is called nobility.
I wrote about Ji Fengzhou, who was the most noble in status, about Bolu who died for his ideals, and about Gu Shiyi who came for righteousness.
I think what is noble is in the eyes of the benevolent and the wise.
Just as Jiang Wang said at the end, the dignity of the World-Honored One lies in "convenience for the benefit of all sentient beings."
Of course, this is just what he saw.
The fifth word I wrote is "comfort".
The meaning of freedom is: The Tathagata will never be bound by troubles. Therefore, it is called freedom.
My plan is for Ye Xiaohua to die in this chapter, take revenge, and feel at ease forever.
The sixth word I wrote is "auspicious".
Auspicious meaning: Since the Tathagata possesses wonderful virtues, all the world will praise those who make offerings.
Here I write about God’s will like a knife, and about the good and bad luck of the bones.
At the same time, the word auspiciousness also refers to Wang Changji and Wang Changxiang.
And Wang Changji and Wang Changxiang are the unlucky signs of white bones.
The chapter "Auspiciousness" is already Chapter 96. According to the outline of the volume when I opened it, I should have ended this volume at Chapter 115. Taking into account the difficulty of ending the volume and tying up all the threads,
Or it can be concluded in Chapter 134. The final name is "World Honored One".
The title of this chapter is also an answer to the process of walking all the way to the World Honored One.
But halfway through the writing process of this volume, about the time when I was "flying to the stars", I suddenly had other ideas.
I decided to bring the unknown person who was going to be killed later here to be killed, and combined it with the existing knot scroll. The big plot of [Transcendence Urn] broke out in advance.
Part of the reason why I chose this is because I want to finish the novel as soon as possible. These are all pitfalls that readers must fill in. If you fill in one early, you can end it earlier. Of course, the more important reason is because I think this is a good influence on the structure of the entire novel.
A better choice.
But this leads to a problem - there are two consecutive big plots at the end. They need to be connected, influence each other, and reconnect. For writing, the difficulty is not just one plus one.
I believe many readers have also felt how complicated the game "Guan Lan Tian Zi San" is.
When I wrote about the death of the unknown person, some readers were asking - "Isn't this the end of the book?"
Normally, I should finish a plot of this level, and then rest exhausted...
But I will continue here.
Because the original conclusion has not been written yet.
If you make a mind map of "Guanlan Tian Zi San" when you read it back, how each character who appears in it, including the substitute, and the threads they involve are intertwined and how they unfold, I believe
It will be more intuitive.
But the text is two-dimensional, and it is tiled one sentence at a time and cannot be presented at the same time. It has to write these out bit by bit, try to make the readers see it clearly, and try to make it look as good as possible. It is not as good as drawing a three-dimensional diagram.
Simple.
There is also a very serious problem that will affect readers’ reading experience——
After two consecutive transcendence games, the protagonist was unable to shine! The protagonist was marginalized. And it was continuous and long-term marginalization!
Sometimes it’s such a dilemma——
If the protagonist wants to grasp the key to the transcendence game, the overall structure will collapse. If he wants to properly fill in these two pitfalls, the protagonist can only play the part.
The dilemma doesn’t stop there——
If you want to maintain the strong character of the Transcendent, you should not write down the battle process of the Transcendent in detail. However, if you want to be responsible to the readers, you should not avoid embodying your imagination.
I said a long time ago that I fight clumsy battles like Cao Jie. I dig a hole, fill a hole, and when it comes to solving the problem, I go to complete the problem. Although it is often thankless, I
I feel that this is my greatest responsibility to the readers and the work.
I have described to you in detail the two deaths of transcendents.
Especially the scene with the Nameless One, it was almost like a live lesson on how to kill the Transcendent One.
From determining the battlefield, determining the era, determining the time... step by step, confirming the name, and finally the actual killing.
I need to maintain the power level of the Transcendent, but at the same time, I need to make Him clearly visible, the process clear, and the details complete - this is also contradictory in itself.
Because everything that surpasses imagination falls out of imagination when it is concretely presented.
I can only do my best. Because presentation itself is the author's responsibility.
(Including many times, many readers will say what the author's point of view is, but in fact the author has no point of view. It is the point of view of the character in the book, and it is just an expression based on the character's own values.)
When the Nameless Man died in the end, I saw many people saying...it was too difficult to kill!
Then I think, this is enough.
It is indeed difficult to kill him, and the process of killing him is convincing, which achieves the purpose of writing.
The plot of The Nameless One was originally at the back. What I designed was that after the real Ksitigarbha was born, everyone would kill the Nameless One, and Ksitigarbha would come and take him in as a listener. It had a bit of a meaning of "taking away all the monsters with a background".
But after careful consideration, I still think it would be better to resolve the plot in this volume.
The Emperor of Chu who went to sea changed from Xiong Ji to Xiong Zidu.
But the direction of the story has not changed.
Everything Jiang Wang did before the scroll, everything he said "crying under my sword", was all for him to finally stand in front of Ksitigarbha and say what the World Honored One is.
After the name, blazing, and strictness, Jiang Wangzai truly got closer to the World Honored One!
But he is far from the World Honored One.
He has not yet received equal respect from all living beings, nor has he shown equal compassion to all living beings.
The way of heaven is that great love is as ruthless as it is ruthless, and it gives equal ruthlessness and love to all living beings.
The World-Honored One is truly compassionate and gives equal love to all living beings, but he does not have a cold side.
This is of course an extremely ideal existence.
So He cannot really exist.
So He will never return.
I had a fleeting thought to ask Jiang Wang to say "I am the World Honored One" as the highlight of his closing of this volume.
I believe I can write that picture brilliantly.
But in the end I gave up, even in the last few paragraphs of the volume, there were rare scenes that were not of the protagonist.
Because Jiang Wang is not the World Honored One.
He is not walking the path of the World Honored One.
He sees, he admires, but he is himself. He has his own way that is different from anyone else.
After writing this and looking back, I see that there are still some things left. If I had enough time to polish it and had enough energy... I would definitely be able to do something better.
Among them, what I personally regret most is that Gu Shiyi did not write enough.
He is actually the person in this volume who is closest to the dignity of the Blessed One. That is, purity, and "convenience for the benefit of all sentient beings."
When writing the character Gu Shiyi, I have always deliberately misled readers, making them think that he is the hero of the country of equality. Later, when I suddenly turned the page, his purity, his preciousness, and even his nobility were presented to everyone.
But the problem is that his space is too little. His stories are too few.
Although I set up a lot of experiences for him and interactions with different people, they are scattered throughout the chapters of the book. They are fleeting and can be missed if you are not paying attention. It is no wonder that some readers say "What did he do?" "It seems like
Nothing has been done”.
Moreover, these experiences happened in the past! It is difficult for it to give readers a real feeling. However, those misguidances that Gu Shiyi is a magic hero are real.
This leads to the fact that not everyone can accept Gu Shiyi's purity. He may even think that he is a sloganeer.
In the final analysis, the character foundation is not thick enough.
It is also very simple to solve this problem - just arrange a scene where he and the protagonist experience together, so that readers can see his heart through the choices he is making.
For example, when he saved Jiang Wang and refused to be equal to the country, they were all mentioned by others later, and they did not have a profound personality expression.
But the problem is...
In such a tight plot arrangement of this volume, I don't have room for him to have a scene.
The role of Gu Shiyi does not have enough weight. The weight here refers to his role in the whole story.
I definitely write mainly about characters such as Ji Fengzhou, Ye Xiaohua, Xiong Ji, Zhuge Yixian, Huang Weizhen, and Lou Yue.
In the scene where Gu Shiyi dies, the focus is also on the plot of Jing Mie Yizhen. He is not even the protagonist in the East China Sea. The battle in the East China Sea is just a small part of the whole scene of Yizhen.
I can only describe him a little bit through Ying Jianghong and other characters. But it is inevitable that I will miss the mark.
As mentioned above, I already know the pros and cons of writing this way, and finally made this writing choice.
Because sometimes writing is like life, you don't have a perfect choice, there is always a side of the scenery that you miss at the fork in the road.
I can only try my best to write what I think is the best chapter and dedicate it to the best readers.
But I'm not sure if it's the most popular one.
In the journey of life, none of us can win everything, can we?
I promised you very early on that I would try my best to properly fill in all the pitfalls and give you as complete an ending as possible on this journey.
When all the big holes are filled in, this story ends.
Now that the story has developed, I believe everyone understands that there are not many pitfalls left.
Many people think that they have been dug into a natural chasm that is impossible to manage, or they are pits that many people have forgotten. I have worked hard to fill them all one by one!
Now we look forward, it is a smooth road to the end!
Speaking of which, some readers suggested to me that I should forget about filling in the holes for now and just write a volume that is purely enjoyable and feel good first.
To be honest, I want to move, but my biggest worry is... I'm afraid that the pleasure will collapse. Once I let go of the reins and run wildly, it will be great, but how will it end in the end?
In the final analysis, having a beginning and an end is the most important pursuit of this book until now.
This volume should be the one I update most frequently. Everyone knows the reason.
I have two spelling groups. Almost every day I am the first one to go to work and the last one to leave work.
I get up at eight o'clock every day, wipe my face and edit my essay, eat at twelve noon, then take a nap, drowsily stare at the computer in the afternoon, skip a few words for half a day, and turn off the computer at twelve o'clock in the evening. I feel sleepy every day
.
My writing becomes more and more difficult, and I become more and more hesitant and hesitant. The further back I go, the less I know how to properly explain everything in the past. It becomes harder and harder for me to concentrate, and I often stop reading when I go back to the previous article.
When I came down and looked in, a long time passed...
It's really time for this journey to end.
I don’t want to write more in the last three to five months, slowly exhausting my writing energy and killing my enthusiasm for writing.
I did everything I could, and I shouldn't have too many regrets - maybe?
When I finished writing this volume, it was 11:40 noon yesterday. I was very relaxed! I was jumping around the room.
But I couldn't sleep at night.
There is no need for an alarm clock in the morning, but I just stay up until morning...
I didn't do anything. I just watched videos and read books. I woke up when I felt sleepy. I was still not very energetic today.
I decided to lie down for a few days.
Eat more meals with friends.
I accidentally talked so much again.
That's it.
In my framework, this book originally had two volumes left at the end, but it was like the plot of the Nameless Man was transferred to the World Honor Bureau and was used by Ksitigarbha. I also want to try to see if I can put the remaining content into
It’s all in one volume. I’m always afraid that if I continue to write and take more time to write, I’ll become less and less able to write.
Give me some time to think about how to do it better.
How to start well and end well.
Since we have talked so much, I would like to ask for a monthly pass.
Investing at the bottom at the beginning of the month and investing everything at the end of the month is also a good start. If you don’t invest, it will expire and be wasted.
…
Take a week off.
Next Tuesday, November 5th.
Restart update.
Before that, I will talk to you about the new volume plan.
No clue yet.
I can't think about anything in the past two days. I'll think about it again after I've had enough sleep.
——Why do I love you forever?
I love you all so much.
Without you, we wouldn't be where we are now.
…
…
Let’s end with the words of Emperor Qi Wu!
Accidents are like hair on the pillow - inevitable.
The history of a country is like dressing up in the mirror - it makes my face beautiful.
Thank you to everyone who has truly enjoyed this book, no matter where you read it or how you participated in it.
