Chapter 4812 Bird of Suspicion

Since Luther had just called a few people in now, it meant that he had no intention of telling the tuxedo skeleton the news, which reassured Diana a lot.

Of course, she still needs to be vigilant. After all, Luther is not a good person, and he is the kind of super villain she is very annoyed by - a smart guy.

Lex has been defeated by Superman countless times and launched many horrific plans in Metropolis. Even though the Alliance has conclusive evidence, he has never spent a day in jail and even has enough reputation to run for the United States.

President, this is not something ordinary people can do.

"Lex."

She thought about it, but walked into the room at a slow pace. Diana greeted the skull expressionlessly, and the latter also spit out a string of bubbles:

"Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and... a psycho. It's nice to see you again. Although I already know that you are from another timeline, friends are friends. Do you need my help?"

Harley didn't say anything, just chewed bubble gum and gave her middle finger to the skull. She had nothing to say to Luther, so she'd better let Dai do it.

"Who was that skeleton just now?"

Since the skull asked, Diana was naturally not polite. Her character would not be meandering, and she would go straight to the topic when she opened her mouth.

However, a burst of laughter came from the speakers in the room.

"Haha, why did you ask this question? You are naive, so naive." Although the skull in the jar did not move, the electronically synthesized voice seemed to convey a sense of contempt: "Maybe you don't believe it, but the answer is

——I don’t know who he is, can you understand what I mean?”

"......Um?"

Obviously Diana didn't understand. She raised an eyebrow, thinking Luther was joking.

But Lex Luthor's sense of humor is as expensive as his hair.

"He didn't say who he was, and I didn't care who he was. He explained his position as an 'old friend' at the front desk downstairs. Bringing Superman here was to show that he had a hostage I care about, and taking out the powder proved it.

He has a big plan that I don’t understand yet.”

At this point, the skull paused for a moment, and bubbles emerged from the large transparent cylindrical jar. Luther seemed to take a breath, and then continued:

"So is this explanation clear enough? He wanted to deal with Blank, we exchanged information, and then we went our separate ways, and that was it."

The room was very quiet, with only the faint sound of the ventilation fan. Diana nodded slowly, accepting the answer.

After all, she is also a princess. She was raised according to the direction of the leader of Paradise Island since she was a child. The enemy of her enemy is her friend. She naturally understands such a simple truth.

She just couldn't find out the identity of the mysterious skeleton, which made her a little regretful and made her feel uneasy.

"Holy shit, you're so hypocritical. You don't even know who he is, and you two were complimenting each other for so long before?" Harley rolled her eyes, reached out to pull Diana, and walked in the direction where the tuxedo skeleton left.

Go, still scolding Luther: "Okay, you don't know anything, so stop talking nonsense and open the door for us. You have to chase people."

Luther didn't say a word, just opened the elevator on the wall, and then watched Harley drag away the other two women.

When the elevator door closed, he was still staring at Harley's back. A string of bubbles came out of the skull's mouth, seemingly laughing silently.

.....................

When the three women returned to the lobby on the first floor and left the company building in a hurry, they thought they would lose the tuxedo skeleton with them.

Unexpectedly, he didn't leave immediately. Instead, he got a map from somewhere and was currently studying something under a streetlight in sight, using the colorful neon lights.

The light shone on the body that was still wrapped in dense cobwebs, making him look like he was covered in a layer of smoke from a distance, giving him an unreal feeling.

However, no matter how unrealistic it was, Diana, who was planning to follow and spy, still felt guilty, so she took the two sisters and hid behind a roadside billboard, with only three heads sticking out to monitor from a distance.

The skeleton turned around a few times, as if using a map to identify the direction. After a moment, he picked up Superman and the black cloth bag, chose a direction and ran away.

"Follow up."

Diana picked up Harley and stopped flying. Instead, she spread out her long legs and started running. People on the street still wore their own terminals. They were smiling, but they were unaware of everything around them.

can not see.

But this is fine, as you don’t have to worry about passers-by screaming or similar reactions, which will attract the attention of the person being followed.

The little jellybean, who held Harry in a princess hug and ran wildly, without exerting any strength at all, was very comfortable, looking like a cat enjoying having its chin rubbed. However, Diana had a serious expression and said to Kara floating beside her:

"Supergirl, have you noticed it too?"

"Well, I have super vision."

The round-faced Supergirl nodded. Her baby-fat face would appear thinner when she spoke:

"That owl has been following us. I noticed it when I came out of Gotham. I thought it was a coincidence, but now it seems it is definitely not."

Just like what the two said, you only need to look up while running, and you can see a small shadow flying in the night between the tall buildings and the narrow gap of the neon projection, about three meters above the ground.

It looks like a hundred meters.

This is not the height that an owl should be able to reach. The bald sea is not even close, not to mention that it flies extremely fast and has followed it from Gotham to New York.

Kara thought it was a different owl at first, but after closer inspection, she found that it looked exactly like the one on the tree in front of the Wayne mansion, so she took notice.

Now that the three of them came out of Luther's company, the owl followed them again, even faster than Brother Eye's TV drone. This was so weird.

"Gotham has always had the legend of the owl. I'm not talking about an animal, but a totem."

Harley's eyes rolled, she lay on Diana's chest and rubbed her face:

"So if you say there is a bird watching us, I won't say anything, but if it is a bird like an owl that is following us, I think it may be the Court of Owls. Maybe in the past crisis of this timeline, the bad guys of the Court of Owls

Some of them survived, and those people were rich as hell, so it makes sense that they didn’t become puppets on strings.”

As an old Gothamite, Harley was once a super villain, but like Batman's other friends, she hated the Court of Owls and would fight to the death whenever they met.

The reason is also very simple. Everyone wants to play games with Batman, and there are rules for how to play.

But the Court of Owls wants to rule Gotham as the mastermind behind the scenes. They want to kill Batman, kill everyone's playmates, ban everyone's games, and shape their dark order. Who can bear this?

Although they are all dark orders, my friends only recognize the darkness of Batman, not the one of Court of Owls, which made me cough after watching it!
