Chapter 673: Mahayana Theravada Realm of the Way of the Other Emperor
Now that we have mentioned the matter of Samana, let me also talk about matters related to Mahayana and Hinayana.
The biggest difference between the two, in a nutshell, is that the former emphasizes on saving all sentient beings from beginning to end, while the latter emphasizes on saving oneself before saving all sentient beings.
It seems to be just a matter of precedence, but the latter is actually no different from the immortal way, with a selfish heart.
To cross oneself, then to what extent one should cross oneself, whether it is Arhat status, Bodhisattva status, or Buddha status, this is a question that can never be explained clearly.
The choice of Theravada Buddhism has actually estranged itself from the human-king way and the divine way. The ascetics who were extremely upward at the time of its rise are no longer as pure as they were at the beginning.
A small plan by the Taoist sect has left the Buddhist sect overwhelmed with self-care and endless internal strife. In the final analysis, the Buddha is also a human being, and he has selfish motives.
Within Buddhism, the real Buddha is basically in Mahayana Buddhism, but among Mahayana Buddhism, it is also the dirtiest. There is no other reason. Hypocrites are more hateful than true villains. At least the latter has the reputation of being frank and forthright.
Taoism always wants to give Buddhism the name of immortality, humanity, or Shinto. In fact, since the rise of Buddhism, it has been a trinity.
Under the impact of Buddhism, Taoism gradually became a trinity, which influenced the writings in the future.
(Author's note: In real history, according to the records in Taoist canon and Buddhist scriptures, the story is certainly not as I told it. Sanren wrote novels, integrating novel systems such as Honghuangliu novels, and deducing them based on historical materialism and the theory of contradiction.
I have perfected the operation of several major tribulations and hope to bring readers a clearer logic.
Of course, the author is not completely out of touch with history. In ancient Indian history, the main differences between Mahayana Buddhism and Theravada Buddhism are indeed the same as what I said above.
Moreover, those who believe in Theravada Buddhism are mainly aristocratic landowners, while those who believe in Mahayana Buddhism are mainly poor farmers. There are obvious class differences.
The dispute between Mahayana and Hinayana directly led to the great schism in Buddhism after the death of Sakyamuni. I forget whether it was the second or third time. During the exam, the teacher said that this was not an exam, so I didn’t spend much energy on it.
Previously, Sanren has explained the reasons for the emergence of the Human Emperor's Way and the progress of the interpretation debate.
Can you tell me with your conscience that this explanation is better than those explanations such as Nuwa did not allow the demon clan to establish a dynasty, and only allowed the human race to establish a dynasty; Zhunti, Jingyin coveted the eastern soil and the natural treasures, so she encouraged Buddhism to go eastward. Such an explanation
.
However, it’s no wonder they are there, because there are many such subjective interpretations in Journey to the West. After all, they are seniors and we cannot ask them to be perfect. Let me, the descendant, improve it.
Tell me, is this the first time you have heard this explanation? Is it the best explanation!!!
Even if errors and omissions can be found, they are just minor changes, and the core logic cannot be changed. This is the charm of philosophy.
To be honest, when Sanren left the Xianxia circle and read historical articles, it was because the explanations in the Xianxia circle really discouraged them from leaving.
Alas, the readers who can read this from the first chapter are all true love. I don’t know how many people still remember Sanren’s dream when he wrote the book. He is the master of fairy novels. Even if all of you have forgotten, I will not
forget.
Many people, even though they haven’t read the first hundred chapters for free, they say that Sanren are liars and are talking big words. It’s so sad!)
As mentioned before, the Way of the Human Emperor is a system. Like the Immortal Way, the Immortal Way relies on the speed of practicing exercises to judge the disciple's qualifications. After selection, the people with the best qualifications are selected and given the best resources.
It's reaching its peak.
If trillions of people are the flesh and blood of the dynasty, then what maintains the operation of the dynasty are the beautiful articles on governing the world. These articles are also called humanitarian articles.
It is under the guidance of these articles that countless low-level people have their own weapons, form clans, and establish kingdoms. Many people are willing to gather in the chapters of humanity, and then form the laws of humanity.
These human laws are beyond the Dao, independent of heaven and earth, and cannot be seen by non-human sages. Such as the way of benevolence, the way of kingship, the way of domineering, the way of forgiveness, etc., there are laws for governing the country, and there are also laws for self-cultivation, and there are all kinds of strange things.
The most amazing thing is that these laws can be extended to the extreme and can transcend the constraints of the realm and even spread to foreign lands. In this way, the problem of the continuation of the Human Emperor's way is solved.
The laws of humanity are like gods, but there is no selfish will at all. They exist entirely for the purpose of spreading. They spontaneously infect the underlying human race. As long as one person believes in them, they will never be eliminated.
It is precisely because of the existence of the laws of humanity that the Human Emperor's way has the capital to confront the immortal way. Otherwise, if the other side borrows the power of heaven and earth to destroy your preachers, there will be nothing you can do.
With the accumulation of several calamities, many laws of humanity are no longer inferior to the real Dao of Heaven and Earth. From a certain perspective, humane scribes who can borrow the power of the laws of humanity are no longer inferior to real people who have condensed the golden elixir in the Taoist sect.
Already.
The scroll that Wu Yi's grandfather gave to Wu Yi happened to be a scroll that complied with the laws of humanity. Only those who understand the true meaning can achieve this.
This step in humanity is usually called opening a literary mind. Of course, there are many similar sayings. In short, a scribe who opens a literary mind can borrow the power of humanity from the laws of humanity and truly have the ability to follow the rules of speech.
With its power, evil spirits are evaded and demons are destroyed.
Do you think it's just that? If it's really just that, it's just a golden elixir, and Wu Yi wouldn't have been so eclipsed before.
The scroll handed to Wu Yi by his grandfather was also filled with human wishes. In other words, the people recognized these words from the bottom of their hearts, otherwise there would not be such strong human wishes.
As far as humane scribes are concerned, being able to absorb the wishes of others is a process of qualitative change. At this point, with the help of the power of human wishes, you have the qualifications to perfect the laws of humanity.
If compared with the Immortal Way, it is equivalent to the Immortal Realm.
In other words, Wu Yi's grandfather was a fairy-like existence in the human world. Of course, according to the human world, he should be called a sage, or a great sage.
This is the source of Wu Yi's surprise.
It's a pity that Wu Yi's grandfather cannot be regarded as a real sage. He can only be said to be a false sage. The reason is that Wu Yi's grandfather did not fully uphold the government, so there was no process of implementing the new law and no chance to engrave his own experience.
In terms of humane laws, this is a pity.
However, the value of the book has not diminished because of this.
