Doujin 31: Strange Stories from a Liaozhai Series - Akai sama

"Huaihe Divine Coin"

In the middle of the Jianyan period, Zhang San in Huainan was engaged in fishing.

That day, while walking down the river, I met a fish leaping from the water onto the boat.

Yu Daxi,

This fish has a red hole, is nine inches long, and has a mouth that cannot be closed.

There is a foreign object inside, which is a coin.

Take a look, it's as bright as silver,

On one side, there is a strange phenomenon, and the letter "People's Bank of China Yuan" is written.

On one side, there is a carved chrysanthemum, lifelike.

The fisherman was overjoyed and boasted about it whenever he met people.

After a long time, the matter came to the county, and the county king sent someone to take it.

He was shocked and exclaimed, "This is an extraordinary thing!"

The tribute was sent to the capital but disappeared.

Or it’s a legacy,

Perhaps it is said that the king of the capital was corrupt and his whereabouts disappeared after that.

At the end of the Song Dynasty, there was a rebellion in Nanhuai. Someone called himself "Shangbi Immortal" and his flag was "Yuan" and raised the flag to rebel.

——Pu Songling in "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio"

Translation of "Huaihe Divine Coin":

During the Jianyan year of the Song Dynasty, there was a man named Zhang San in Huainan who made a living fishing in the Huaihe River.

One day, while going south along the river, he encountered a fish leaping out of the water and landing on the boat. Zhang San was ecstatic.

When I went up to take a look, I found that the fish was red all over and about nine inches long, but its mouth could not be closed.

It turned out that there was a silver coin in the fish's mouth.

There is a strange symbol painted on one side of the silver coin, which reads "People's Bank of China Yuan".

On the other side, there are lifelike carvings of chrysanthemums.

The fisherman was very happy and took the silver coin home. Every time he met anyone, he would brag about the magic of the silver coin.

As time passed, this incident reached the ears of the county magistrate.

The county magistrate sent someone to ask for the coin. He was extremely surprised and sighed, "This silver coin is not a human thing!".

Later, the coin became a tribute and was sent to the capital, where it disappeared.

Some people say it was lost, others said it was embezzled by a certain prince in Beijing, and its whereabouts since then are unknown.

At the end of the Song Dynasty, there was someone in Huainan who called himself the "Shangcoin Immortal" and took the name "Yuan". He raised a flag to rebel. I don't know what it has to do with the sacred coin.

"Zhang Sheng"

In the seventeenth year of Jianyan's reign in the Song Dynasty, Zhang Sheng was born in Jimo. He became ill and asked when it was.

The wife said, "This is the seventeenth year of Jianyan's reign."

Zhang Sheng asked, "Who is the emperor? Who is the emperor?"

The wife was horrified, and when she saw no one around her, she said, "Why should I speak so openly about official names?"

Zhang Shengfu asked: "Where did the Jin people go?"

The wife laughed and said, "Seven years ago, we destroyed our country and our species, so we named it Qing."

Zhang was suspicious and asked several things, and was very happy.

He said to his wife: "The official family is from my hometown, and I will be successful!".

So he took his wife to Beijing and told the people in his hometown that he had humiliated his ancestors by copying his writings, but it was not enough. I could sweep the world away.

Later, I met a robber and ended.

Throughout the ages, how can there be only one clown?

——Pu Songling in "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio"

Translation of "Zhang Sheng":

In the seventeenth year of Jianyan's reign in the Song Dynasty, there was a scholar named Zhang from Jimo. After he woke up from a serious illness, he asked his wife what time it was.

The wife replied: "It is now the seventeenth year of Jianyan."

Zhang Shusheng was confused and asked, "Who is the emperor? Zhao Gou?"

The wife was shocked,

No one on the left or right said, "How can I say the official's name directly!".

Zhang Sheng asked again, "Where did the golden man go?"

The wife smiled and said, "Seven years ago, the country was destroyed and its species was destroyed. Now it is called Qing."

Zhang Sheng was confused and asked about many past events. He was ecstatic.

He said to his wife, "The official family is my hometown, and we are going to be prosperous."

So he took his family to Yanjing. On the way, he said that he was from the same hometown as the official family, and that slandering Song Shizu's literary talents was nothing more than plagiarism. His achievements were only mediocre, but I could sweep the world away.

Later, he met a bandit on the road and died.

Throughout the ages, who has been the most clown?

"Raccoon in the Well"

There is a temple in Bozhou, Huainan, called "Mingdao Palace".

There is a well in the courtyard, named "Nine Dragon Wells". Song Shizu fell into the well here and received three volumes of the art of war taught by the Taoist ancestors.

In the first year of Jianyan's reign, a raccoon was seen in the well. It looked like a human, sometimes majestic, sometimes sad.

The left and right felt strange and reported it to Yang Yizhong, the leader of the squad. Yang Dahai ordered the left and right to shoot arrows.

When Li died, he wrote "I am Nai Gou" and Li's body disappeared without a trace.

In the Hongwu year, Yang Sheng lived here and stayed in Mingdao Palace.

Night dream of a man in red robe scolding

"I'm here! Yang Thief mistook me! Come and taste my fate!".

Yang woke up but did not dare to sleep, so he ran away at dawn the next day.

——"Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio"·Pu Songling

Translation of "The Fox in the Well":

There is a temple in Bozhou, Huainan, called Mingdao Palace.

There is a well in the yard called "Jiulong Well". Song Shizu fell into the well here and dreamed that Daozu taught three volumes of the art of war.

In the first year of Jianyan's reign, a civet cat appeared in the well. It looked like a human, sometimes majestic and sometimes sad.

The guards on the left and right felt very strange, so they reported it to the commander-in-chief Yang Yizhong. Yang Yizhong was shocked and ordered to shoot him to death with random arrows.

Before the civet cat died, he wrote "I am Zhao Gou" in the well and then the civet cat's body disappeared.

During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, a scholar named Yang came here to stay at the Mingdao Palace.

I dreamed of a man in red robe roaring at night

"I am Zhao Gou, Yang Yizhong harmed me! Give me back my life!".

Yang Shusheng woke up with a start and did not dare to sleep anymore. He fled Mingdao Palace early the next morning.

"Three Zhaos"

During the Wanli period, there was a man named Yuan Zongdao in Huguang who was an official until Yuanwailang.

When Yuan was a child, he admired poetry and novels, and often told people

"There is no more civilized person in the world than three Cao, three Su, and three Zhao. I would like to host a banquet for the talented men of ancient times."

That night,

When Yuan heard the noise in the court, he scolded his servants and looked at them. However, when he shouted several times but no servants responded, he angrily put on his clothes and went to the courtyard to look at them.

See the banquet in the courtyard, wine and food are all prepared.

Six people lined up on the left and right.

The man on the left, dressed in Hanfu, is an elder with a short appearance and narrow eyes, but he has an imperial power.

The clothes on the right are those of a Song Dynasty scholar. They represent an elderly man with a dignified appearance, elegance and elegance.

Yuan Shengyi asked before bowing

"My disciple Yuan Zongdao, I wonder what the names of these seniors are?".

The elderly man on the left supports his beard and smiles at the sun:

"I am Cao Mengde, the king of Wei. I heard that I have been invited to a banquet, so I came here to ask for a drink."

Then I heard the words of the person on the right

"I don't want Su to suffer from this shameless traitor today!".

Both sides are fighting.

Yuan Zhi knew that three Cao and three Su had arrived, so he hurriedly stepped forward to relieve himself and the seven of them joined the banquet together.

After the banquet,

Yuan Qi asked

"Now that the six seniors are here, where are the three Zhao officials?"

Su Fuxu smiled and said:

"Three Zhaos wrote novels, and there is no time when people come to the world to have a banquet."

It turns out that the Emperor of Heaven has been chasing the book for a long time.

The official family of Sanzhao wrote novels day and night.

Yuan said with great enthusiasm:

"Writing novels is the most painful thing in the world!".

A night of silence.

At dawn the next day,

Yuan Xing lay in the court. Cups and plates were scattered everywhere, as if there was a banquet here last night, and the servants were surprised.

Yuan Hezhi said, "The senior I admire is a visitor, but I didn't call you all late at night."

The servant was generous and picked it up.

At the end of Wanli period,

There is Wu Sheng in Jingzhou,

Every night, I dream of a man in red robe telling me "Journey to the West: Conquering Demons".

Wu Sheng couldn't bear to be disturbed, so he changed the story and called it "Journey to the West".

After the book was completed, I dreamed of the man in red robe at night and said in his dream:

"You and I are not at odds with each other."

Wu Sheng was shocked, with tears streaming down his face, and said, "I'm in the official family!"

And this book and periodical is from Kyushu,

Everyone in the world said that Wu Sheng was the queen of Concubine Wu. Zhao Shizu wanted to make up for Concubine Wu's lack of concubine, so he wrote the book in a dream to gain fame in the world.

The author of the two books known as "Journey to the West" and "Journey to the West Conquering Demons" is both called "Wu Cheng'en".

——"Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio"·Pu Songling

Translation of "Three Zhaos":

During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, there was a scholar named Yuan Zongdao in Huguang, who was an official to the rank of Yuanwailang.

Yuan Zongdao loved poetry and novels when he was a child. He often told his friends, "There are no more talented people in the world than San Cao, San Su, and San Zhao. I really want to set up a banquet to entertain these ancient talents."

One night, Yuan Zongdao heard someone making a noise in the yard.

Then he got up and scolded his servants to check,

However, after calling several times, there was no response from the slave, so he angrily put on his clothes and went to the courtyard to check.

I saw a banquet going on in the courtyard, complete with food and drinks.

Then I saw six people lined up on the left and right.

The three people on the left are wearing Han Dynasty costumes. The leader is short in stature and has narrow eyes, but he carries the power of an emperor.

The three people on the right are dressed in the clothes of Song Dynasty scholars. The leader has an upright appearance and is quite cultural.

Yuan Sheng was surprised,

Come forward and salute

"Yuan Zongdao was born late, I wonder how he would be called by the seniors?"

The elder on the left, Fu Xu, laughed and said:

"I am Cao Mengde, King of Wei. I heard that I have been invited to a banquet here, so I came here to ask for a glass of wine."

Then I heard someone on the right yelling something.

"I don't want Su to meet a shameless traitor like you today!"

The two parties then quarreled endlessly.

Yuan Zongdao knew that this was the arrival of Sancao and Sansu, so he hurriedly stepped forward to relieve the siege, made peace with both parties, and then the seven of them entered the banquet together.

After the banquet, Yuan Zongdao asked curiously

"Now that the six seniors are here, where are the three Zhao Guanjia?".

Su Shi stroked his beard and smiled.

"San Zhao is still coding and has no time to come down to earth to attend the banquet."

It turned out that the Jade Emperor was struggling to catch up on the novel, and the three Zhao officials could only write books day and night in heaven without any time to rest.

Yuan Zongdao said with emotion

"Sure enough, writing novels is the hardest thing in the world!",

A night of silence.

On the second day,

When Yuan Zongdao woke up, he found that he was sleeping in the yard, with cups and dishes scattered around, as if someone had held a banquet here last night.

The servants were all surprised, Yuan Zongdao said to them

"It's an old man I admire who is here as a guest. I didn't wake you up because it was too late last night."

The servant sighed at his master's generosity and then packed up.

In the middle of the later Wanli year,

There was a scholar Wu in Jingzhou,

Every night, he would dream of a man in red robe telling him "Journey to the West: Conquering Demons".

Scholar Wu couldn't stand this kind of harassment and changed the story.

Named "Journey to the West".

The day I finished writing,

That night the man in red said in his dream

"In this way, you and I will no longer owe each other any more."

Wu Shusheng woke up with a start, then burst into tears and cried:

"I am burdened by an official family."

Later, this book was sold all over Kyushu.

Everyone in the world says that Scholar Wu is the reincarnation of Concubine Wu.

In order to make up for Concubine Wu's failure to obtain the position of queen during her lifetime, Zhao Shizu wrote a book in a dream to save the Wu family's reputation.

Later generations called it "Journey to the West: Conquering Demons" and "Journey to the West"

The author of these two books is named "Wu Chengen".

"The Man in the Ear·2"

Quduan, courtesy name Zhengfu, was one of the eighteen kings of Jianyan.

He is proficient in civil and military affairs and good at sophistry.

Duan met an old Taoist when he was young and learned the art of guidance.

It does not stop in winter or summer, it can make the ears and eyes clear,

After practicing to a great extent, the ears can transform people, the eyes can see, and the mouth can speak.

He is extremely intelligent and has achieved great success in less than a year.

The ears can transform people into chattering.

In the fifth year of Jianyan's reign, it was Zhengdan,

Prime Minister Zhang held a banquet with full-moon wine for his son.

During the banquet, Duan said he didn't know what was going on in Tokyo and was willing to listen to his colleagues' discussions.

However, everyone heard the whispers at the end, and it seemed that some people were talking too much.

Everyone was surprised and asked again,

"Why do you disturb the banquet repeatedly if you don't say anything during the festival?".

Duan smiled and said, "It's not my words, but my ears' words."

Everyone looked around and saw two little people coming out of Duan Er.

About three inches long, the shape and curvature are awkward and vulgar.

Crossing arms and chest, barking, annoying.

The banquets dispersed.

Translation: "The Man in the Ear·2"

Quduan, courtesy name Zhengfu,

One of the eighteen princes of Jianyan, he was good at both civil and military affairs and was good at sophistry.

When Qu Duan was a child, he met an old Taoist priest.

I learned a qigong and kept doing it in winter and summer.

It can make the ears and eyes clear,

After practicing to a great extent, you can make your ears look like a human being, with eyes to see and a mouth to speak.

Qu Duan is very smart. He has reached great success after practicing for less than a year. His ears can transform people and chatter endlessly.

On the first day of the fifth year of Jianyan's reign, Zhang Shuxiang held a full-moon banquet for his eldest son and invited the civil and military officials of the DPRK to attend the banquet.

During the dinner, Qu Duan did not want to talk much because he did not know what was going on in Tokyo, and wanted to listen to his colleagues discuss national affairs.

However, everyone heard the chattering at the end of the song, and it seemed that there were many people talking.

Everyone was surprised and asked Qu Duan again,

"Why did Jiedu repeatedly disrupt the banquet if he didn't want to speak?"

Qu Duan replied with a smile.

"It's not me who's talking, it's my ears that are talking."

Everyone looked at it,

But he saw two little people jumping out of Qu Duan's ears,

It is three inches long, and its shape is as arrogant as its curved ends. It folds its arms across its chest and barks, making it annoying.

The banquet broke up unhappy.
