Chapter 5 The Primitive Man With Rules

Han Cheng's previous thought that he would be eaten by a group of primitive people did not happen.

Everyone in the cave immediately began to get busy in an orderly manner following the big brother's greeting.

The old primitive man who was responsible for looking after the fire source brought dry branches and trunks from the side and added them to the firewood pile. The weak flame soon rose, and the cave became bright.

Two male primitive men were skinning the newly caught rabbit today with thin stone knives, and another man was plucking the feathers of the unlucky pheasant.

Five or six female primitives with quick hands and feet took the one or twenty fish of different sizes, one foot, two feet, etc. that the elder brother had picked out from a corner of the cave. They skillfully threaded them with branches and held them on the fire with their hands.

Roast.

Not long after, the scent of fish meat was already wafting in the cave.

Those little primitive people who were still alive and kicking before became quiet after the grilled fish began to smell. They all gathered around the fire and stared at the grilled fish being licked by the flames with saliva.

Some of the younger ones sucked their own fingers greedily.

Not long after, the skinned and plucked hares and pheasants were also dressed on tree forks and joined the ranks of being grilled.

Han Cheng looked at this wild barbecue and smelled the tantalizing aroma of meat, and felt that his whole body was about to become greedy.

Although he did not see these people scraping the scales and removing the internal organs of the grilled fish, the two hares and pheasants only removed the skin and hair, and the internal organs were not removed, but he was already extremely hungry, where could he go at this time?

Do you care about this little flaw?

I just want to mix something into my stomach as soon as possible.

Especially when he saw that the first seven or eight fish to be grilled had been taken down and placed on the stone slab, Han Cheng was even more greedy and wanted to pounce on them and eat them all!

However, the reality is cruel. He is as motionless as a sculpture. He can only stand here and look eagerly, unable to do anything else.

While he was feeling helpless, something happened that surprised him.

Those little primitive people who were obviously very hungry saw the grilled fish that was placed there with an attractive aroma. No one came forward to eat it, but still gathered around it.

It's just that the eyes looking at these things are more longing.

This made Han Cheng quite emotional.

If this were left to future generations, such a small amount of things would have been wiped out by the children long ago.

In later generations, children are far more valuable than adults, especially on occasions such as banquets. It doesn't matter if the adults eat well or not. Children must be satisfied first.

After several dinner parties, I encountered a naughty child who held the turntable and refused to let others go. His favorite dishes were not allowed to be touched by others. He flipped over the plate full of vegetables and picked out the vegetables. He bit into a piece of ribs in his mouth and threw it back when he thought it was not tasty.

After things like the vegetable basin, Han CD developed a phobia of eating at the same table with naughty children.

That feeling is not as comfortable as making your own fried noodles.

"Gululu..."

Thinking of the rich food in the later life, Han Cheng's stomach growled again. Counting from the time he traveled through time, he had not eaten for almost two days and one night.

All the food, including rabbits and pheasants, were roasted and placed together on a stone slab not too far from the fire.

No one went to get food, but everyone was waiting for something.

Amidst Han Cheng's confusion, the senior brother who had been staying elsewhere walked over, tore off a chicken leg and half a chicken breast and placed them on a leaf.

After thinking for a while, he pulled off another rabbit's hind legs, put them on top together, then held it in both hands and walked towards Han Cheng.

In Han Cheng's eyes full of longing, the senior brother walked directly in front of him, holding the roasted and fragrant meat in his hands, respectfully placed it in front of the old primitive man, and then walked out.

The senior brother seems to have extremely high authority in this tribe.

He ignored the others, but went directly to the place where the food was placed, picked up the half-left roast chicken, picked up five more fish, and left.

After he left, the others came forward, but there was no looting and the process of getting the food was quite orderly.

After the eldest brother, there was the pot-bellied second brother. He grabbed the rabbit that was missing one leg, and glistening saliva flowed from the corner of his mouth.

It was obvious that he wanted to take away all the rabbits, but he turned around to look at Junior Brother Sha who was staring at the rabbits in his hand for a moment, but he still did not implement his thoughts.

Instead, he seemed to be very reluctant to tear off two rabbit legs and put them on the stone slab, then selected the two largest fish from them, took them and left.

Like the elder brother, there were three women and two children who left with him.

Of course, as the senior brother left more people, there were five women alone, and as many as seven children, large and small!

The distribution of food was completed quickly and silently.

The man who got the food took his family and found a place in the cave to enjoy their dinner.

Most of the people who picked up the food were men, but there were exceptions. The last person to pick up the food was a woman. Her husband seemed to have injured his leg and it was extremely difficult to walk.

Han Cheng could see that the food was not enough for everyone in the cave, so in the end, when the primitive woman stepped forward to get the food, there was only one fish less than a foot left on the stone table.

She did not show any sign of reluctance, but picked up the fish and led her two skinny children and her even skinnier lame husband to the side.

Unlike other families where the man eats first, in this family group, the woman holds the fish and starts chewing it first.

After eating half of it, she handed the rest of the fish to her lame man.

The male primitive man did not eat the fish first, but stretched out his hand to pull out the internal organs that had not been removed from the grilled fish and ate it. He greedily took a few more bites of the fish, broke the exposed spine of the fish with his hands, and put it in his mouth with force.

Chewing it, he handed the remaining one-third of the fish to the two eager little primitive men.

The little primitive man, who was already drooling with greed, gnawed quickly like a hungry wolf cub...

The senior brother who was the first to receive the food had already had his dinner. He ate more than half of the pheasant he received and half of the fish.

Then he reached out and pulled out all the internal organs from the pheasant's chest, leaving the chicken liver behind. He carried the remaining intestines to the lame man's family, handed the intestines to the female primitive, and said a word.

Then he turned around and left.

The lame primitive man and primitive woman looked at their elder brother with grateful expressions in their eyes, and then looked at the intestines in their hands, and their eyes shone even more.

The male primitive man took the intestines and limped out of the cave, then came back not long after.

The chicken intestines in his hand seemed to have been processed. They were taken by the primitive woman, wrapped around a branch and grilled next to the fire.

Han Cheng was really hungry. Seeing the primitive woman roasting chicken intestines for the family, he was actually very greedy.

Not far away from him, the old primitive man was sitting on the ground, eating roasted chicken legs slowly and leisurely, unlike the primitive people outside who wolfed down the food.

Sure enough, no matter in which era, there is always a privileged class.

And without exception, the privileged class has a better life than the average person.

This damn old primitive man can eat so much good food alone and not be afraid of being held up!

Han Cheng, who was so greedy that he was so hungry that he was dizzy, looked at the old primitive man who had finished dealing with chicken legs and then started dealing with rabbit legs. He couldn't help cursing in his heart.

Well, Han Cheng admitted that he was wrong when he scolded the old primitive man. Not only did the old primitive man not deserve to die, but he was also extremely admirable, almost to the point of being lamentable.

This was the truest thought that Han Cheng had after the old primitive man finished chewing the rabbit leg slowly and put the piece of plump chicken breast to Han Cheng's mouth.
