Chapter 197: Promise

Saint Vera had a dream.

She had not dreamed for a long time, and she even felt a little nostalgic in the dream; she dreamed that she was back in the clothes of a village girl, living a pastoral life in her hometown of Tebil.

She lives in a small house called the Hamster Cave, next to a lake, a forest, and a small town built in a huge open-air cave.

The people there are carefree, and the tyranny of the Kingdom of Gregos cannot affect them.

The sun is warm and the spring wind flows into the hamster hole.

This is not a dirty cave, but a tea cave with a nice wooden building and hanging tea pots.

Woo!

Woo! Gulu! Gulu!

There was a sound of tea boiling, and Vera clearly realized that this was a dream.

She ignored the boiling tea, but followed her instinct and looked at the wooden wall of the hamster hole.

There is a long sword hanging on it.

"Vivaldo..."

Sure enough, it was just a dream... Vera was a little disappointed in her heart. Ever since the saint started having a headache one day, she rarely had any emotions.

Walking towards the wall, she took off Vivaldo and blinked, only to find that she in the mirror hanging next to her had changed back to wearing one-piece scale armor and a gold and silver scale cape.

"From your flashback memory, you seem to have two dreams, Miss Vera." A gentle female voice behind said.

Vera turned her head and saw a woman she had never seen before but had a vague impression of sitting at the table.

This woman has gray hair and red eyes, wearing a pointed hat worn by a wizard, and her clothes are blue with a red base.

"Who are you?" Vera asked calmly.

The corners of this strange yet familiar woman’s mouth curved a little:

"In one of your two fantasies, you long for achievements, victory and glory, and become the protagonist in a knight's novel."

"The other one, you long for a peaceful pastoral life. You are exhausted, and you just want to find a quiet, quiet harbor where no one will disturb you."

"Don't you feel very conflicted? Miss Vera."

I... Vera's eyes remained still, her expression was calm, she slowly raised Vivaldo and pointed at this woman:

"explain."

The woman with red eyes looked over with a sly smile on her face.

She spread her hands left and right and rolled her eyes:

"My name is Angelette, Angelette Ludwig. If you like, you can add a von in the middle of my name, although I personally don't like that extra pronunciation, von.

It sounds like buzzing, right?"

This name... Vera felt a tingling sensation in her head, not pain, but closer to the feeling that her body was wrapped in warm water.

"This is my dream." Vera lowered her head and suddenly felt something was wrong, turning her head to look in the mirror.

The armor on her body disappeared, replaced by a simple and comfortable casual skirt, a peasant girl's outfit. A white shirt-like bottom, a blue suspender skirt, and a black strip of cloth as decoration.

.

The will to fight was a little weakened, and she thought of the beauty of the past and the beauty she pursued.

The woman named Angelette smiled and said:

"Yes, this is your dream, a dream that has lasted for several years; your pursuit, your hobbies, and the contradictions and confusion of memory loss; and this, your heart longing for answers has returned to this road, you

Just met me here.”

Vera narrowed her eyes:

"Why do I dream about you?"

Angelette spread her hands and smiled beautifully:

"Maybe I dreamed of you, in this hamster hole."

…………

The integrated technical support team in blue has arrived in Testenango.

Jiang Han didn't know what kind of meeting they had, but as soon as it was over, Mia, a researcher from the Blue-shirted Union, came up to her and took the license certificate of the Balrog Witch Solna. He grabbed her and started chattering.

He can murmur a lot of phrases at a speed comparable to that of Murloc (Murloc can speak more than 19 words per second):

"...Dream Login Device, we use the structure of a dream to connect two people."

"...You know about LAN, right? The Dreamland Login is just a LAN login, but the medium it requires is two pieces of magic power."

After Jiang Han roughly understood the structure of what this guy was talking about, he shook his head:

"I understand, but why are you looking for me? Let me agree in advance that my agreement with your company does not include being a guinea pig."

"What is a little white mouse!" Mia reacted like a tech nerd being touched by Ni Lin. Her eyes widened and she heard a series of murloc grunts, such as 'stable technology', 'extraordinary performance', 'super strong structure' and so on.

The lines of the witch tricking people came out.

But after finishing talking, Mia suddenly became very cheerful again, smiling with a bit of malice:

"That guy Solna finally couldn't help but ask our technical department for help."

This witch obviously has no sense of confidentiality. If it were a national-level activity to develop another world, this kind of guy would be pulled out by the white guards and imprisoned... Jiang Han complained, showed a sweet smile, and said doubtfully:

"What's the matter?"

"That saint!" Mia made a loud voice and ran to the crucible shelf in the room. She chose a pot that could hold two Jianghans and ran to get the water. She said while doing it,

"Solna found that under the existing rules, there is little that can be done against that guy!"

"Even she herself was chopped off. Wow, did you know! The last time Solna was injured was because she was fighting a false god head-on, and she was chopped off by the ability to modify reality. The company didn't even expect her to be head-on.

We are actually at a disadvantage. We do have a more expensive solution, but unfortunately it is too expensive and the company won't let it be used!"

Jiang Han knew what this guy was talking about.

Witches can spend a price to upgrade the world level, and after it reaches a certain limit, they can admit great witches.

Expressed in a simple data table, a level 1 world allows level 1 witches to enter, while a level 10 world may be able to accommodate great witches with a theoretical level of 32 or above.

Of course, that kind of improvement will not be used by the Blue Uniform Company because it consumes too much money.

"What does the company mean?" Jiang Han asked.

Mia placed the crucible filled with water on the induction cooker, turned on the switch, and took out a concentrated cube that resembled a soup pot from her pocket.

"Mushroom soup, you have no taboos, right?" she asked.

Jiang Han shook his head:

"I quite like mushrooms."

"Well, that's good." Mia poured a bag of cubes into the crucible, and also added two boxes of tofu and a large bag of bamboo shoots and beef balls.

After joining in, she made Jiang Han a cup of tea and said:

"The company decided to disintegrate that group of indigenous troops from within. According to the battlefield observation team, that saint! She was sprinkled with your blood, right?"

Ah! Jiang Han screamed in her heart. She suddenly remembered this matter, but she still pretended to be calm and nodded:

"It seems so. I have cut off the line supplying magic power after I returned. Should... nothing should happen?"

Mia showed a big smile:

"Ha! Something has happened. About one or two hundred people have been infected with your witch disease..."

"..." Jiang Han turned his head.

"But people in this area seem to be naturally resistant to witch disease... It's strange, we have never been here before." Mia showed a confused expression, but then told the company's plan, "We are going to work with you and

The dreams of patients with witch disease. If you detonate the witch disease in their dreams and leave their consciousness in the dream, their bodies will soon mutate. By then, it won’t matter how resistant they are."
