Chapter 161: The Ancestral Hall of the Past

In the afternoon after the military training ended, Lu Mingfei was lying on the bed. He looked at the gilded invitation in his hand, imagining how magnificent the student union's dance tonight would be.

Caesar graciously did not argue with Lu Mingfei about the exercise. He happily handed Lu Mingfei an invitation to the dance, saying that he would introduce Lu Mingfei to everyone in the student union so that they could all see what the student union was like.

Rising Star.

Thinking that this was the dance party Ling was talking about, Lu Mingfei turned over, and Fingel on the upper bunk was still typing on the keyboard.

Logically speaking, Lu Mingfei should find himself a good-looking suit now, comb his hair like an adult, and then hold Ling's hand at the dance and spin around gracefully.

But Lu Mingfei didn't want to do anything. After the morning drill and the long military training, he just wanted to lie on the bed and be a salty fish forever.

As for whether they have clothes and whether they can dance, Fingel said that most of the activities of the student union are relatively free. These rich kids have seen everything and most of them don't mind these messy etiquette.

At least Fingal planned to keep his shirt on and satisfy his hungry stomach with salmon and lobster at the dance.

Without warning, Lu Mingfei heard the sound of Fingel typing on the keyboard on the upper bunk suddenly stop. The room became silent and the atmosphere suddenly became strange.

Fingel's eyes ignited with golden flames, and he stared intently at the door opened by invisible force.

"Hey, why did the door open?" Lu Mingfei reluctantly climbed up and closed the door hard. "We have to ask the logistics department to repair it."

Snapped!

Lu Mingfei felt someone pressing his shoulders, and a pair of big hands pressing down on his body.

"It's a lot stronger." A familiar voice came from behind.

Lu Mingfei turned his head in surprise and saw a familiar figure standing behind him.

"Uncle De, you..."

"Congratulations, the military training is over, so I'm here to find you."

Ender still looked casual, his clothes were as loose as a magician's robe, he pressed Lu Mingfei's shoulders with his hands, and had a half-smile expression on his face.

Lu Mingfei was a little more uneasy. Thinking of what he saw during the 3E exam, he swallowed and asked uneasily:

"Uncle De, why did you come to see me?"

Ander let go of Lu Mingfei's hand, snapped his fingers, and said in an exaggerated tone:

"I'm here to show you the reality of the world."

Lu Mingfei felt like he had goosebumps and complained helplessly: "Uncle De, can you say something that I can understand."

"Okay, I'm going to give you some tutoring on history knowledge so that you don't fail in your next studies, which is also commonly known as opening up a small study."

Ander looked at Lu Mingfei, who had a confused expression on his face, reached out and held his shoulders, said hello to Fingel, and pulled him out of the dormitory.

Lu Mingfei followed Ander and asked curiously: "Uncle De, where did you come in from?"

"Of course it came through the door, but you just didn't notice it while you were lying on the bed.

Do I look like the kind of person who can sneak in and pick the lock?"

Lu Ming nodded as if out of reflex, and then quickly shook his head under Ander's warning eyes.

"It's just a little trick to reduce concentration." Ender pointed to the students beside him who turned a blind eye to the two of them.

"After all, my situation is special. It would be bad for me to give you a small chance just above board."

Lu Mingfei looked at Bradley, who ignored the two of them and walked past them, and nodded in understanding.

But Lu Mingfei didn't know that in Bradley's eyes, the place where Lu Mingfei was was actually an open space, and a simple magic could allow Ander to easily avoid anyone's sight.

As the two walked forward, an antique building appeared in front of Lu Mingfei.

This is a Chinese-style building called Wuyue Pavilion that I have seen before. It is said that its name comes from a dragon king.

"You must be curious." Ender said calmly: "What are your parents doing, and what am I doing."

Ander turned his head and looked at Lu Mingfei, who was a little at a loss. This boy's skin was tanned, and his always bent back finally straightened up, and he regained some appearance.

"I will tell you everything. After all, honesty is the cornerstone of communication." Ander pointed to the building in front of him. The sunlight hit the side of his face, showing a deep shadow.

Lu Mingfei suddenly had an urge to escape. Sometimes secrets are not a good thing. They mean responsibility, and Lu Mingfei felt that he was not ready yet.

But thinking of what had happened these days, Lu Mingfei resisted the urge, stepped forward, and followed Ander into the interior of the building.

Unexpectedly, there are no scary statues or strange models in the building. There are only classrooms. Through the windows, you can see the young people studying in them.

"Wuyue Hall is the teaching building of the history department. Angers built it in a Chinese style to commemorate a person."

"That person is your great-great-grandfather, Lu Shanyan, the first member of the Secret Party Lion Heart Society."

Ander led Lu Mingfei all the way, and took the elevator down to the underground floor. It seemed to be an archives, with all kinds of newspaper clippings and documents neatly stacked on the bookcases, which looked pleasing to the eye.

Ender did not stop, and led Lu Mingfei through the bookshelves, past the precious documents stored in the glass cabinets, and towards the depths of the underground.

In the corner of the archives, there is a very traditional Chinese wooden door. The door is embossed with beautiful patterns and various Chinese myths and legends, which looks very valuable.

Ander fumbled on the door to open the secret button hidden in the pattern, and gently pushed the door open. Inside was an antique altar table, with an incense burner and a dense array of memorial tablets at the back.

"This is the ancestral hall of the Lu family." Ander turned on the light in the room: "It was originally over there in Minzhou, but your great-grandfather later moved it here."

"The place is a bit small and has undergone some renovations, but it has generally maintained its original charm."

Ander pointed to the Chinese wood carvings placed around him and said: "These wood carvings are all removed from the original ancestral hall, such as the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, agarwood saving the mother, etc. The carvings are very charming."

Lu Mingfei looked at everything in this small room. The ancient incense table was paired with modern table lamps, and there were Western-style sofas next to the Chinese wood carvings. This kind of place was not like an ancestral hall in his impression, but more like chatting with friends.

's reception room.

Ander took out three sticks of incense and handed them to Lu Mingfei, then pushed him into the room.

"After all, your surname is Lu. Since you are here, you have to offer incense to your ancestors."

Lu Mingfei looked at the futon and incense burner in front of him and twirled the incense in his hand. For the first time, he felt the weight of history.

"Want to kowtow?"

"Just bow, they won't mind."
