Chapter 5 Dreamland

The little boy whispered a few words to Xie Tingsong. Xie Tingsong said nothing, just shook his head, then lowered his head and said nothing.

Xie Liuyun looked at his father's appearance, his heart full of grief and anger.

He was once such a smart person. The mathematics scores of the students in the class he taught were among the best in the school. In their Tonglu County, the scores were also ranked high.

Now he has become such a dull-looking person, with a dull expression, timid, and mired in extreme fear.

Can Xie Liuyun not feel sorry for his father after seeing him?

Xie Liuyun closed his eyes and pretended to be scared, but in fact his ears were paying close attention to every move in the room.

There was silence in the room, and it was possible that the little boy and the man called Fourth Brother were also thinking about how to act.

Xie Liuyun could clearly hear his own heartbeat with his eyes closed. It was so difficult!

Who did my father provoke?

Or did something?

Father and son had no disputes with the world, so how could they get into such a strange thing?

When Xie Liuyun was thinking wildly, he suddenly heard intermittent tapping sounds in his ears. Out of curiosity, Xie Liuyun quietly opened his eyes slightly and observed.

It turned out that the man known as Fourth Brother was tapping the floor with his scabbard to see if there was any hidden space under the floor to hide important items.

Xie Liuyun couldn't help being shocked when he saw this scene, and immediately turned to look at his father. However, when he saw his father looking at him, he quickly stopped looking at the other side and lowered his head again to sit blankly.

Xie Liuyun accidentally saw this subtle behavior of his father, and felt that his father seemed to be very conscious, and he felt puzzled.

It was puzzling to him whether his father was pretending to be confused or whether he was really confused.

If the father is pretending to be confused, it means that the father is facing a great crisis, and this move is purely a self-protection strategy out of desperation.

But if this is the case, then Xie Liuyun feels that it is a blessing among misfortunes.

As long as the father is not confused, there is hope that he can find a chance to escape or seek help from the outside world, and thus be saved and reborn.

If my father was really manipulated by the person who captured him, and he was controlled and unconscious, then his life would not be in danger for the time being if they didn't find what they were looking for.

Even so, as long as you can stay alive, it is a good thing and there is hope for a turnaround.

When he was thinking about these things, he was about to raise his head and take a closer look at the person called Fourth Brother, when he heard the little boy say: "Fourth Brother, I'm afraid he's going to show off."

The fourth brother who was tapping the ground immediately stopped when he heard this, quickly pulled out something from his waist, waved it in front of Xie Liuyun, and then put it away again.

Xie Liuyun didn't know what his behavior meant, and he didn't take any precautions.

Suddenly, he smelled a fishy smell in the air. After smelling the smell, he felt dizzy, and after a while, he fainted.

When Xie Liuyun woke up again, he found that he was lying on his own bed. This situation made him confused.

He took a look at his body. Just like last night, he was lying with his clothes on. There was no dust or anything unusual on his clothes.

He moved his limbs, and they were flexible and light, with no injuries anywhere.

Was last night a dream?

Xie Liuyun sat up from the bed and touched the back of his head. He still couldn't figure out what was going on.

What happened last night is vivid in my mind, every detail is very clear, even everyone's expressions and behaviors are very clear, and the conversations between several people are still in my ears.

At this time, he felt a slight soreness in his right hip, and rubbed it with his hands. Xie Liuyun couldn't help but "smell" his mouth and grinned. It felt quite painful.

All these reminded Xie Liuyun that what happened last night was definitely not a dream, it must have really happened at home.

He immediately got out of bed, opened the side cabinet, took out his satchel, opened it, and found that the wooden box containing his father's letter was still there, so he felt relieved.

Then he rushed to his father's room. Before opening the door, he carefully checked the door. There was nothing special about it.

He gripped the door handle nervously. After taking a few deep breaths, he turned the handle suddenly and pushed the door open with a bang.

Looking at the scene in the room, he stood blankly at the door.

There was no trace of anyone moving in the room, just as it was when he left last night.

Xie Liuyun quickly walked to his father's bed and looked down at the marks on the mattress. It was strange that no one had sat on it.

He looked back at the place where he lay last night, and there was nothing unusual.

He sat on the bed dejectedly and thought to himself that it seemed that after his father disappeared, he had been in a trance these past few days. He had not had enough to eat and could not sleep well. That was why he had thoughts and dreams every day and night. Last night, he unexpectedly

Did you have such a weird dream?

Now, Xie Liuyun still feels a little creepy when he recalls the scene in his dream.

Xie Liuyun looked around the room, looking for valuable clues to unravel the doubts in his mind.

I had already rummaged through the desk and found an important wooden box.

I also checked the closet and found nothing suspicious except for my father's clothes neatly stacked and unused bedding.

Then there is a low cabinet used by my father to store miscellaneous items. The upper two layers are filled with books, and the lower layer has three layers of drawers, which contain all the teaching materials accumulated by my father over the years.

Xie Liuyun has already checked these books and materials, and found nothing special.

Apart from a word on the wall, there was nothing else in the room.

This is Wen Tingyun's "Yongtai Song" handwritten by one of my ancestors. As for which ancestor it was, I heard it from my father when I was a child, but I was still young at the time and did not remember it.

After that, my father never told me about this calligraphy again, and I gradually forgot about it.

Now, Xie Liuyun raised his eyes and looked at the central hall that his father had often paid attention to for a long time. It should have been hung in the living room, but his father loved to hang this painting on the wall opposite his bed so that he could sit there every day.

You can see it from your bed, which shows your father's love for it.

Xie Liuyun recalled what happened last night, and intentionally or unintentionally sat where his father had sat in his dream last night.

He raised his eyes and looked at the painting on the opposite wall of the nave, silently reading the verses on it, lost in thought.

"The south tower of the Prince's Pond is a hundred feet tall. The windows are separated by new trees and sparse curtains. The golden pavilions are decorated with painted hooks. Yu Bao stops and brushes his halberds. Panyu railings face the high platform, and the tent hall faces the flowing luan fan.? Early wild geese are startled.

The sound of a small ripple rises, and the dragon flies back, reflected in the flowers."

The scenery described in the poem is very beautiful, and the artistic conception is also very desirable. This is the first time that Xie Liuyun has seriously looked at the words as an adult. He has an indescribable feeling, always feeling a little depressed.

Is this because of my own mood?
