Chapter 1703 Yongle Sword

As everyone was getting ready to sit down, three foreign guests came outside.

These three are Lu Fei's old friends, Wade, Gene and Carter.

"fly!"

"I miss you so much." .??.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate you on your victory in the treasure fighting conference."

"In addition, I would like to send my blessings to your sister for her wedding tomorrow," Wade said.

"Thank you so much!"

"Sit down, let's have a drink."

"It's okay to drink."

"However, before we drink, I have something serious to tell you."

Lu Fei nodded.

"Okay, come to the study with me!"

Taking the extra-long password box from Carter's hand, Wade followed Lu Fei to the study alone.

"Wade!"

"Has all the money you paid back arrived?" Lu Fei asked.

"Already arrived."

"Fei, congratulations on taking your strength to the next level."

"After this treasure fight, your strength has reached the level of the world's top richest man."

"Ha ha!"

"It would be okay if someone else said this."

"Compared with your family's, my family's wealth is just a drop in the bucket."

"fly!"

"Stop being humble."

"Our family's strength is indeed slightly higher than yours for the time being."

"However, the family has many shares."

"Your financial resources are much greater than mine."

"If you don't say any more, I'll show you something."

Wade said as he put the lockbox on the desk and opened it.

He opened the lid and pushed it in front of Lu Fei. Lu Fei was shocked when he saw what was inside.

"Yongle Sword?"

"Isn't this thing in the Royal Museum?"

"Why did you bring it here?" Lu Fei asked.

Wade smiled and said.
r> "You are right, it was indeed a collection of the Royal Museum."

"But from now on, it's yours."

Lu Fei stared at Wade for ten seconds and asked lightly.

"Wade, how did you do that?"

"hehe!"

"That doesn't matter. What matters is whether you like it or not."

Lu Fei gave a thumbs up sincerely.

"As expected of the Robert family, they are indeed powerful."

The total length of the Yongle sword is 90 centimeters, and the blade length is 75 centimeters.

The blade of the sword is made of iron, made of Damascus steel, and the sword decoration is extremely luxurious.

The outer body of the sword is covered with gold and silver, and extensive use of hollow carving and engraving techniques is used. The inner layer of the scabbard is made of wood and part of it is made of leather.

It can be said that this sword embodies the highest level of royal sword production technology in the Ming Dynasty and is one of the masterpieces of ancient Chinese sword production.

This sword was bestowed upon an eminent monk in Tibet by the Ming court during the Yongle period.

As one of the most important instruments of Buddhism, the sword is a symbol of wisdom and an object of awareness that eliminates ignorance and obstruction. It is included in the "Seven Nearest Treasures" of King Chakravartin.

At the same time, it is also closely related to Manjushri Bodhisattva. The Ming Dynasty was regarded as an important era for the revival of the Han people at that time. It was a powerful government from the beginning of its establishment.

During the Yongle period, the strength of its rule continued to increase. It was under this extremely powerful background that the 'Yongle Sword' was created, and was greatly endowed with a symbol of power and strength.

There are exquisite Ming-style decorations and Buddhist patterns on the gilt iron sword handles and other gilt equipment.

Nowadays, this sword has different names, including "Yongle Sword", "Yongle Sword of Ming Dynasty", "Yongle Sword" and other titles.

As a gift from Emperor Yongle to a great living Buddha in a Tibetan temple, the Yongle Sword is an outstanding work of art.

Iron gilt

There are exquisite Ming-style decorations and Buddhist patterns on the golden sword hilt and other gilt equipment, with a strong Tibetan style.

The exterior of the Yongle Sword is made of thick gold, the sword is embossed with the pattern of the Tibetan Buddhist sacred animal protector "Qiong", and its eyes are inlaid with gems.

This mythical beast appeared as a golden-winged roc in its early days and evolved into a lion image in the Ming Dynasty.

The embossed sword head is directly attached to the hilt.

The scabbard is covered with black leather and has an integral edge. It is called "quzha" in Tibetan. It is quite popular among high-level Tibetan knives, but such exquisite ones are rarely seen.

Emperor Yongle's sword itself has a strong Mongolian, Persian, and Sasanian style, and is different from the traditional sword style since the Song Dynasty.

The Wanli sword unearthed from Dingling also has a strong Western style.

However, considering that some elements of the Tang sword are derived from the Sasanian Dynasty, as well as elements from the Turkic swords, it can be seen that this sword from the Dynasty does have many different styles of ancient styles.

Unfortunately, the Yongle Sword was plundered in the late Qing Dynasty and did not reappear until 1991.

Tragically, the Yongle Sword was taken away by the Royal Museum for only 100,000 pounds.

In the following decades, if you want to see this pinnacle of China's ancient weapons, you can only see it abroad.

In 2012, international scholars once valued this Yongle sword.

Combining factors such as culture, decoration, material, historical background, etc., the knife was finally valued at 530 million pounds.

The price is thousands of times higher than when it was collected by the Royal Museum.

The Chinese archaeological community negotiated countless times with the Royal Museum about this sword, but ultimately failed to bring this valuable treasure back to China.

What the entire Shenzhou archaeological team was unable to do, the Robert family was able to do it easily.

Moreover, not a single bit of news came out from the outside world.

If Lu Fei hadn't carefully identified it and confirmed it was genuine, he would have even suspected that Wade's Yongle Sword was a counterfeit.

"fly!"

"Do you like it?" Wade asked.

Lu Fei couldn't put it down and touched it, nodded and said.
"good!"

"very good."

"Wade, please make an offer!"

"No matter how much it costs, I will keep this sword."

"no no!"

"I said, this sword is already yours."

"This is a gift I gave you, I hope you like it." Wade said.

Lu Fei repeatedly waved his hand and refused.

"We in China have an old saying: No reward for no merit."

"I cannot accept such a precious sword for nothing."

"fly!"

"Don't do this."

"We are friends. Don't mind a little gift between friends."

"Wade, this is no small gift."

"I am an expert. I know better than you how much this sword is worth."

"I did accept many valuable treasures from your family before, but those were all transactions."

"It's a deal, I have a clear conscience."

"I accept it in vain, this is not my style, Lu Fei."

"Or do you need my help with something else?" Lu Fei asked.

"Well"

"Okay, then I'll make it clear to you."

"You guessed right, I do need your help."

"fly!"

"What I want to say is about the knife."

"oh!"

"Didn't we make it very clear before?"

"If you want a knife, give me a precious sword that I value in exchange. This is fair to both you and me."

"you're right!"

"However, it is indeed not that easy to find an ancient sword that can catch your eye."

"I have no other requirements, I just hope you can keep your promise Fei."

"During the time we agreed, please do not sell that knife to anyone else."
