Chapter 221 Bronze Gui

Lu Fei said that he wanted to find other members of the family to trade, which frightened Jean.

Due to the Samson problem in the George family, most people in the George family do not live to be fifty years old, and most people completely lose their ability to take care of themselves after they are forty years old.

Because of this, in order to prevent the family from losing its incense, the George family worked hard to reproduce for hundreds of years.

As soon as they reach the age where they can create humans, they will immediately begin to reproduce.

Take Jean for example. Jean, who is only 29 years old this year, is already the father of six children.

Therefore, the George family has a large population, and Gene is only a marginal figure.

But this time Jean got the orchid dew and saved the fate of the entire family, and his status in the family skyrocketed.

For this reason, the clan leader gave Jean quite a lot of rewards.

Ultimately, all this is due to Lu Fei.

If Lu Fei trades with other family members, then Jean will be in vain.

"Fei, don't do that. I swear to you in the name of God, I will never let you down."

"Haha, I hope so." Lu Fei said.

"My friend, let's not talk about anything else. Take a look at the gift I brought you. I guarantee you will like it."

Jean opened the first box, and inside was a colorful enamel Chilong vase painted on a yellow ground.

Seeing this Chilong bottle, Lu Fei's eyes shone with two hot gleams. Since it was yellow ground, it goes without saying that it must be an imperial thing.

Lu Fei glanced at Jean, then carefully took out the Chilong bottle and looked at it carefully.

This Chilong vase is made of copper with painted enamel, and its shape is imitated from the Tibetan grass vase of Lamaism.

The folded edge is in the shape of a wheel, with flat shoulders and narrowed belly. The shoulders are inlaid with two gold-plated single-cornered flowers and high-relief Kui dragons on the front and tail.

The gilded mouth is incised with an incised rosary flower, and the mouth wall is painted with Ruyi cloud heads and floral patterns.

The neck is engraved with a circle of rotating branches and leaves that have been removed from the sun pattern as the decorative focus.
Draw dark blue branching flowers and leaves on a light blue ground, and below are branching peonies on a yellow ground.

The bright yellow ground on the belly of the vessel is fully decorated with peony flowers and leaves of various colors, peach fruits, bats, Ganoderma lucidum, etc.

The low base is gold-plated, and the bottom of the vessel is inscribed with the inscription "Yongzheng Year System" in unframed double-line regular script.

Touching the Chilong bottle in his hand, Lu Fei's heart surged.

This damn thing was the favorite thing of Emperor Yongzheng at that time. The objects in the study were changed one after another, but the status of this Chilong bottle was unshakable.

After the death of Emperor Yongzheng, Emperor Qianlong took the Chilong vase to the Old Summer Palace, but it disappeared after a catastrophe. Unexpectedly, it was in the hands of the George family.

This gave Lu Fei another layer of understanding about the George family.

Lu Fei lit a cigarette and said calmly.

"It is indeed a good thing. Thank you to your clan leader for me. I will accept it."

"Fei, we are friends, aren't we?"

"There is no need to thank friends. Look at this again. There is a big guy in it. I personally selected this for you."

Gene said as he opened another large box. When the tip of the iceberg was revealed from the items inside, Lu Fei's pupils shrank to the extreme in an instant. He couldn't help but clenched his fists and had goosebumps all over his body.

When all the boxes were opened, a large bronze vessel appeared completely in front of Lu Fei's eyes.

This is a bronze gui, more than 40 centimeters tall, round, with a diameter of 35 centimeters.

The Gui has a round mouth and a rolled rim. The four beasts have long drooping ears attached to their ears. The belly is extremely deep, the abdominal wall is nearly straight, and the high ring has wide edges.

The neck is decorated with three rows of breast nail patterns arranged in an orderly manner, the body of the Gui is decorated with a thin straight rib pattern, and there are two string patterns on the top and bottom. The lower abdomen is decorated with four rows of breast nail patterns.

The circle foot is decorated with four groups of Taotie animal face patterns, with ridges in the middle.

The animal face is composed of two symmetrical bent Kui dragons with a slit and a single horn that stands tall and arches its back and curls its tail.

The animal ears and the body of the Gui are cast separately. The body of the Gui is connected to the four ears. There are protruding triangular tenons on the upper and lower sides. The animal ears are hollow and fit perfectly with the protruding tenons. The casting method is very delicate.

The four animal ears are rectangular and have long drooping ears, which almost touch the ground.

The animal's head above the animal's ears is a relief-shaped cow's head, with round eyes raised on both sides of the ears, giving a lively and natural expression.

A flaky bronze medal stands on the cow's head. The raised part of the bronze medal is the horn. There are two protruding ribs in the groove. A calf's head is sandwiched between the ribs. The back of the bronze medal is also decorated with a calf's head.

The lower part of the animal ear is decorated with a calf's head in the middle, and there are small bird patterns outlined by negative lines on both sides. There are two vertical downward grooves on both sides of the ear, and it is decorated with two symmetrical cow heads.

The four animal ears are connected to the body of the Gui, and twenty-four large and small bull heads are cleverly decorated, giving the Gui its unique charm.

The body of the Gui is richly decorated but not complicated, the shape is majestic, solemn and elegant, and the whole body is covered with emerald green patina. It is a typical high-quality bronze of the Western Zhou Dynasty.

Even more rare is the three-character inscription "Zha (Zuo) Bao Yi" engraved on the bottom of the inner wall of the gui, reminding people not to ignore the contentment and high spirits of the upper-class nobles of the Western Zhou Dynasty as the proud owners of this glory.

Gui is a kind of food vessel. It was used to hold cooked meals in ancient times and was also used as a ritual vessel.

There are many shapes of bronze Gui, and their development and changes are also great.

In the early Shang Dynasty, Gui was mostly round, with a wide mouth, a deep belly, and ring feet.

By the late Shang Dynasty, the number of double-eared Gui began to increase.

The Western Zhou Dynasty was the period when Gui became popular. Not only did the number of unearthed artifacts increase, but the shapes also became more complex. In addition to the double-eared Gui with a circle and a foot, there were also four-eared Gui, three-legged Gui, four-legged Gui and square-seat Gui.

The bronze gui in front of me is from the Western Zhou Dynasty
It is a masterpiece from its heyday and is quite well preserved.

Collecting bronze vessels is considered valuable because they are large in size, and if there are inscriptions on the body, they are regarded as treasures.

This bronze Gui is not only large in size but also has inscriptions on it. It is a treasure among treasures.

Not to mention others, if Kong Fanlong saw this bronze gui, he would have to try his best to donate it.

Such a treasure, no matter which museum it is placed in, is a well-deserved treasure.

Since his rebirth, Lu Fei has yet to obtain a decent bronze vessel. This bronze gui has undoubtedly filled his gap in this regard.

While Lu Fei was excited, he felt even worse in his heart.

Damn it, these are the treasures of China, but asking white-skinned foreigners to give them to themselves is simply the most ridiculous thing in the world.

Especially the yellow-ground enamel chilong vase, which was robbed in the Old Summer Palace. This thing appeared before my eyes. It was not only a national treasure, but also a shame.

Lu Fei couldn't put it down and touched and looked at it, but he didn't ask Gene about the origin of the thing.

It doesn't matter where they come from. What's important is that now these two national treasures are yours, and they will never leave China again.

As for the other Chinese treasures of the George family, sooner or later I will take them back one by one, and take back all of them without any leftovers.

"Fei, do you still like these two things?"

"Especially this big guy. I personally selected it for you. I think this thing looks very mysterious. I think you will like it." Gene said excitedly.

Lu Fei nodded and said.

"Yes, I like it very much, thank you Gene."

"This represents the sincerity of your family, and I am very satisfied."

"But that's not the point. How is the thing I want prepared?"
