717 Ji Zhibao

Zhu basin.

It is a traditional Japanese ghost story.

Its appearance is just like its name, with a big face like a wooden basin, and it is as red as painted with red paint. There is a small corner on the forehead, the hair stands straight like a sharp needle, and the big bloody mouth is split to the base of the ear.

In the corresponding ghost stories, the characters are generally more vicious.

Other than that, there isn't much worth saying.

After all, he is a monster that is not too well-known.

In the cemetery in the forest of Chizu Town, the little old man found a total of two red basins, both of which were probably around D level and very aggressive.

This should be the target of this spirit removal.

Now we can only say that the two red basins here in Chizu Town are really unlucky.

If it weren't for the fact that he was going to take his apprentices for training this time, this level of strange stories would definitely not be handled by Kamiyagawa's ceiling-mounted combat power.

After confirming the strength level of the target who needs to be treated, Kamiyagawa asked Oishi to park the car in a secluded place, and pretended to explain to the two apprentices: "The matters here in Tottori will be assisted by a little old man.

Solve it yourself and come back quickly."

Of course, Tsurumi would not have any objections to Kamiya's orders, so he got out of the car with Nanquan Yimoji and Smiley Qingjiang.

Kanoya blinked at his master first, then quickly slipped out of the Shōtoku Incense Burner and strode to catch up with his junior sister.

Kamiyagawa:……

Although before Xiaolu left, his eyes towards the master showed no emotion as much as possible.

But Kamiyakawa, who was in charge of emotions, could still feel that at that moment, the girl seemed to be laughing secretly in her heart.

No matter how big or small!

After the figures of Kanoya and Tsurumi disappeared into the lush mountains and forests nearby, Kamiyagawa slowly followed them.

Although it is left to the disciples to solve the strange incident in Chizu Town on their own...

But now that we are here, let’s take another look at the fighting situation between the two of them.

About thirty minutes later.

In a cemetery in the forest.

boom.

The small but heavy imperial incense burner fell to the ground, blowing up a chilling and cold fragrance like the autumn wind.

The brass furnace body was stained with blood, and when it hit the ground, it made a small dent in the wet ground in the cemetery.

Lu Yewu raised his right foot lightly and deftly towards the imperial incense burner. The copper chain flipped and drew a faint arc in the air.

The Holy Incense Burner fell heavily back into her palm.

While putting away the copper stove, Xiaolu looked not far away and saw Tsurumi Aoi already carefully wiping the blood stains on the smiling Qingjiang.

A red basin was poured beside each of the two girls.

This monster has a short stature, but its round red head is extremely large, and the hair on its body stands upright like sharp needles.

Although it looks a bit scary, that's about it.

Now both of the two red basins have been cured. One has obvious blunt marks on his head, and the other has several slash marks on his body. The bodies of the two monsters have also begun to slowly turn into ashes.

The battle between Kanoya and Tsurumi to eliminate spirits lasted very short, only a few minutes in fact. Most of the half hour spent was spent trekking through the mountains and forests to reach the cemetery where the monsters were hiding.

Up.

"Little grandpa, are there no other strange stories here?"

The little deer first sniffed the humid air in the cemetery again, and then asked the little old man who was walking with him.

"Abba Abba!"

The scout gestured and nodded, giving an affirmative answer.

It's just a D-class weird story, and it's no match for the two eldest ladies who are serious about fighting.

"Xiao Kui, let's go back to find Master. It seems that we will have dinner in Hokkaido." Luyeya greeted his junior sister.

Tsurumi simply responded, then leaned down and picked up a small object from the ground.

It was a dark wood carving.

The craftsmanship of the maker is somewhat rough, and the wood carving does not seem to have been completely carved, but it can still be seen that what is carved is a dragonfly landing on the lotus bone.

This wooden dragonfly was left behind when the red basin that Tsurumi killed turned into ashes.

That's a trophy.

It's just that it doesn't seem to have much value.

"Sister, look at this."

Tsurumi showed the newly picked wooden dragonfly to the deer.

The young senior sister came closer and sniffed, but she could only feel a little bit of the stench left by the red basin from the wood carving.

"Since you got it after defeating Kaitan, why don't you give it to the master later?" Xiaolu suggested.

"Um."

The two sisters from the same family returned the same way under the leadership of the little old man.

And next to the ghost car parked at the foot of the mountain, I saw the Kamiya River again that I had been waiting for for a long time.

The apprentices briefly reported the process of defeating Zhu Pen, and then gave the wooden dragonfly to the master.

From the perspective of Kamiya, who is extremely experienced in "scavenging", this roughly carved wooden dragonfly has nothing worth talking about. At most, it is just tainted with some weird stories.

However, when he took the wooden dragonfly in his hand, "Ghost Story" gave the identification information——

[Honda Tadakatsu’s Wooden Dragonfly (ordinary product): A wooden dragonfly carved by Honda Tadakatsu after he retired to seclusion in his later years. It is an unfinished work that failed and has no artistic value. However, because it is contaminated with the atmosphere of ghost stories, it may be used as a masterpiece for someone.

It can be used as a refuge for some extremely weak wandering souls. Or, it can be used as a home display to highlight the owner’s unique taste?]

"oh?"

Kamiyagawa did not expect that this humble wooden dragonfly had a certain background.

Looking at the identification information, this wood carving was made by Honda Tadakatsu, a famous daimyo from the Warring States Period.

Honda Tadakatsu was a powerful general of the Tokugawa family.

The name is very resounding——

Flying General of Three Rivers, Heihachi of Oni, a warrior who can stand alone in ancient and modern times. He is also known as having both flowers and practical skills, and is unparalleled in the Eastern Kingdom.

He was never defeated in his life and went through 57 battles without a single scratch. He was repeatedly praised and praised by senior generals of various forces. Later generations even called him "Japanese Zhang Fei".

However, it is said that Honda Tadakatsu fell in love with wood carving after living in seclusion in his later years. Once he was cut by a carving knife, the wound became infected, causing complications, and he eventually died of illness.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! He was a soldier for half his life and was invincible on the battlefield, but he died of tetanus caused by a small carving knife.

Such a life experience is quite embarrassing.

"This wooden dragonfly was carved by Honda Tadakatsu... It seems that the Mikawa Flying General was really obsessed with handicrafts in his later years? I don't know where he picked up the two red basins."

Kamiyagawa held the wooden dragonfly in his hand and looked through it for a while.

Although the maker of the wood carving is famous in the world and is the kind of hero who will definitely leave behind the ashes of war after his death, it is a pity that this wooden dragonfly still does not have much practical value to the Kamiya today.

Occasionally, you will find useless little gadgets like this during ghost removal operations.

There are actually a lot of things like this in the Kamiya River.

As for this wooden dragonfly, although it is a "failure", the advantage is that it is quite intact. And when I think that its creator is Honda Tadakatsu, the humanistic style of the small wood carving suddenly improves!

If you really don’t use it, you can also put it in the living room at home as a decoration.

Anyway, Kamiyagawa's family has never been shy about displaying some weird collectibles.

This big family of them is so vicious that they can control anything.

Let the two apprentices deal with Zhu Pen, and Kamiyagawa and his party start their journey again.

As a member of the Countermeasures Office, he visited the old mage who reported the situation to Tottori County.

And showed the newly acquired [Honda Tadakatsu’s Wood Dragonfly] to the opponent.

In the end, the old mage determined that the strange aura left on the wood dragonfly was indeed consistent with what he had felt on the deceased before.

In this way, the matter in Tottori will be officially settled.

The Kamiya River arrived at Chizu Town at around one o'clock in the afternoon and left here around three o'clock.

The soldiers are very fast and the work efficiency is extremely high.

This experience of leading a disciple still seemed a bit too easy.

But after all, it is actual combat. It will always be beneficial for Xiaolu and Tsurumi to have more contact and accumulate some experience.

Then the next stop is the Nemuro Peninsula in Hokkaido.

After arriving in Hokkaido, Kamiyagawa first contacted the local police who had been notified in advance and obtained more detailed information about the recent "missing young man incident".

The situation here is still unclear, and it is not even certain whether the disappearance case is really related to the ghost story.

By the time we came out of the police station, it was already dark.

As usual, Kamiya asked the scouts to send out the Waikato Corps to explore the situation around the Nemuro Peninsula.

The "missing incident" has yet to be investigated. No one knows where the missing young men have gone.

Since they have all appeared in the northeastern part of Hokkaido, that is, around the Nemuro Peninsula...then Kamiya River does not need "reasoning to solve the case". He can just use force to overcome cleverness and let the little old man rummage through the place.

You should be able to find some useful clues.

The search for the peninsula took much longer than Chizu Town, and the scope of the investigation also included other areas along the coast. Considering that it was already getting late, Kamiyagawa took his apprentices and settled into a local hotel.

His Aragami's physique didn't matter, but his disciples had to eat and rest after all.

The first day of training passed like this.

At around six o'clock the next day, Kamiyagawa, who had gotten up early, was drinking coffee as usual while flipping through the large number of files he had brought yesterday. The little old man, who had been busy working all night, finally reported back an important piece of information -

One of his avatars found a somewhat strange shrine at the former site of Habomai Village near Nemuro.

The owner needs to check the situation in person.

Habomai Village was originally a second-class village in Hokkaido formed by the merger of multiple villages.

Later it was incorporated into Nemuro City.

The "strange shrine" the little old man called was located near Luoshi Village, which once formed Habomai Village.

Of course, the so-called "Luoshi Village" no longer exists.

The target shrine is located in a hill facing the sea to the east and is very remote.

Even in an area like Nemuro City that is already relatively desolate, its remoteness stands out.

Climb the relatively long shrine and pass through the faded torii gate.

Kamitani and his disciples came to an abandoned shrine.

The statues enshrined in this shrine are...

It is about two meters tall and has a very lifelike shape. It is a unique female human body organ.

The Japanese generally call this kind of statue "Hime's treasure".

Before Kamiyagawa came to the target shrine to check the situation, he obtained the county records from the local contact in Nemuro and learned some about the situation in Luoshi Village in advance.

When this village still existed, fertility worship was prevalent.

This Ji Zhibo Shrine is the product of this belief.

In fact, fertility worship is not that rare in Japan and can be found in many places.

There are those enshrining Hime's treasure, and there are also those enshrining the male root. There are more than 400 shrines with similar straightforward shapes throughout Japan.

And the belief culture of fertility worship goes far beyond that.

For example, the Asukaza Shrine in Nara holds the "Oden Festival" every year, which is said to be a religious performance handed down from ancient times.

During the performance, one person wears a "Tengu mask" to represent the male, and one person wears a "Tofuku mask" to represent the female. The "Tengu" knocks down the "Tofuku" and performs various "sexual" actions.

.

As for why the male symbol is Tengu.

In fact, the long nose on the face of the Tengu originally had a "sexual" meaning.

Moreover, Saruta Hiiko-no-Mikoto, who was enshrined by Kamiyagawa and had the bones of a god, was himself a male representative of fertility worship.

After all, Kamiya is also a "skilled student" who studies folklore, and he actually knows a lot about these things.

This ancient fertility worship was indeed prevalent in the main island of Japan. However, the aborigines of Hokkaido are Ezo, a tribe related to the Ainu controlled by Kamiya.

This kind of belief in Luoshi Village has nothing to do with Ezo.

Because the villagers gathered here first migrated from the Atago area after Hokkaido was controlled by the Japanese shogunate.

This chapter is not over yet, please click on the next page to continue reading! "Uh, this... is quite similar?"

The little deer who came along saw the "Ji Zhibao" statue in the abandoned temple, and moved forward out of curiosity.

As a young painter who often draws in notebooks, she has no taboos.

But Tsurumi is not as calm as his senior sister.

Although her face was still cold, her eyes had nowhere to go, so she turned away and looked away.

The place Tsurumi Aoi was looking at was an equally dilapidated side hall.

Kamiyagawa, who had read the county annals, knew that the side hall was called "Zhaoyu Dormitory".

What should I say about the side hall...

Its use is not as good as the main hall.

Because of the strong worship of reproduction, Luoshi Village had a custom of sexual indulgence.

On festival days to commemorate the harvest, sexual restrictions here are not strict. On the night of the festival, all the villagers, men, women, old and young, will go to the side hall of Himinoho Shrine to sleep together.

[Whether it is the village chief's wife, daughter, maid, or male servant, no matter how old or young, everyone sleeps in the side hall. But tonight, no matter what you do, you can do anything.]

Because everyone was lying together, it was like all kinds of fish that had just been fished out, so it was called "the fish bed".

In fact, after the Meiji Restoration, similar customs were explicitly prohibited.

However, Luoshi Village is located in a remote area, and the custom of celebrating the fish bed was maintained until about 1950.

Kamiyagawa briefly recalled the content of the county annals he had just read, and then pushed Kanoya out of the main hall, who was watching the "Hime Treasure" with great interest.

Immediately afterwards, he narrowed his eyes and looked around the entire Ji Zhibao Shrine in detail.

"No wonder the little old man noticed this shrine...the power of faith and the aura of the Aragami remain here."
