243. Trying to fit into the team

In order to let Darkrai recover some of his condition, Luther stopped where he was and rested for an extra day.

Luther, who used fairy milk to attract monsters and wanted to subdue the green sheep bird, failed again.

Those new trainers who saw Luther stopped in place and chose to stay once again missed the mark. Some even directly made up a configuration of six insect elves.

Luther scratched his head, thinking that as long as the child held a bug net and a straw hat and stood on the edge of the grass, he would smell like that...

When we returned to the camp at night, Darkrai, who had slept all day, emerged from the shadow of Luther's tent.

After feeding some energy-supplementing tree fruits and drinking the mixture prepared by Mai, Darkrai recovered quickly, his fatigue disappeared, and his movements became agile.

When dinner was almost ready, Luther piled dead branches into the fire pit and raised his head and said to Darkrai.

"I won't take advantage of others. You have one more choice, whether to stay or go. It's up to you. You didn't have the energy to run far last night, and you were afraid that you would be taken away by others if you were not in good condition. You have recovered a lot now, right?

?”

Darkrai remained silent.

"There is a saying in my old hometown, 'All it takes is a pair of chopsticks.'" Luther took out a food bowl and said, "A food bowl is all it takes for dinner. Don't pretend to be dumb. Just give me a few words."

It’s almost cooked.”

Darkrai picked up the bag that Luther had placed by the campfire, took out an elf ball, glanced at Luther, and threw it behind him.

Looking at Mai who was busy in the distance, Luther said.

"Okay, I'm not subduing you, I'm just cooperating with you. Dieffenbachia attacked you, and also attacked me. You want revenge, and so do I. We have the same goal."

"Don't think that we owe you a favor because we treated your injuries. After we resolve the matter of Dieffenbachia, you can go wherever you want."

Darkrai's expression became much more relaxed. After hesitating for a while, he helped Luther put the elf ball back into his backpack, floated over, and took the food bowl.

At dinner time, all the elves discovered that there was an extra Darkrai in the team.

The elf who wanted to say hello to Darkrai only got a "hmm", which seemed like he was very withdrawn.

Darkrai's cold face was ineffective against Chrysanthemum Leaf and Fairy Milk, and his silence could not stop these two little guys with poor ability to observe words and emotions from walking around and looking at him.

The chrysanthemum grass leaf even held the fairy milk, hung the vine whip on Darkrai, and climbed on Darkrai's head.

Although Heiluga knew that Luther had accepted Darkrai, he still couldn't help but stare at him, fearing that the chrysanthemum leaves and fairy milk would make Darkrai unhappy, and he would suddenly become violent like before.

In Heluga's opinion, Darkrai's temper is not good.

What he was worried about didn't happen. Even if the chrysanthemum leaf slipped from Darkrai's head and kicked Darkrai in the face, he just stretched out his hand to hold the chrysanthemum leaf above his head. He was not unhappy.

Darkrai also knew that Heiluga was watching him, and seemed very indifferent. He was an elf who kept his word. Since he had made a promise with Luther, he would obey his orders even if he was not subdued.

At bedtime, Luther asked all the elves on routine night patrol to come back, and he walked to Darkrai himself.

"Since you and I have a promise, we should establish some trust. All my elves will have a rest tonight, and you will help us guard. Can you do this?"

Darkrai snorted softly and slowly got into the shadow under his feet.

Luther took a look, yawned, and gestured to Mai.

Mai always trusted Luther's judgment, so she took Ibrahimovic and the others into the tent and fell asleep.

Heiluga insisted on getting out of Luther's tent.

"Okay, Heiluga, you're getting old now, have a good rest, and don't worry about Darkrai patrolling at night. He can fight well, right?"

Luther comforted him, lifted up the blanket, arranged the pillow, and fell asleep directly.

Heiluga wanted to put his mouth on Luther's face and lick him awake, but in the end he gave up on this move. He bit open the zipper with his teeth and got out quietly.

He had memorized the smell of Darkrai, followed the smell to the shadow where Darkrai was, and stood still.

Darkrai naturally also realized that Heiluga was worried about him. He was too lazy to explain and simply floated out. The two elves glared ahead fiercely.

The nocturnal grass and insect elves came out of the forest and wanted to cross the road to the woods on the other side, but they felt two vicious auras locking on them.

The two walking grass looked around cautiously. As soon as they raised their legs to step on the concrete road, they saw three eyes shining in the camp not far away.

One pair of eyes were as red as blood, and one eye was glowing with blue light.

The two walking grass screamed and fled quickly, scaring away the nocturnal insect elves around them.

Except for this episode, the whole night seemed unusually peaceful.

When Luther woke up in the morning and saw that Heluga was not with him, he already understood.

After cooking breakfast, I gave a little more of the egg liquid from the auspicious eggs to Darkrai and Heiluga.

"Although I haven't convinced him, he can still be considered a member of our team. Give him some trust." Luther stroked Heiluga gently along his back.

Darkrai picked up the food bowl, poured the egg liquid into his mouth, and quickly finished his breakfast.

"Watching a night watch won't have any impact on your physical strength, right? Then we'll set off, and we'll get to Luping Town today."

Darkrai gave Luther a rare response and nodded.

Along the way, Darkrai huddled in Luther's shadow, while Heiluga stepped on Luther's shadow, changing positions with the direction of the shadow's movement.

I don’t know how the young Heiluga behaved in such a childish way. Luther saw Heiluga hurriedly retreating because of his sudden stop several times, just to stand above Luther’s shadow.

I even vaguely heard Darkrai's helpless sigh.

During this time, Mai became familiar with Darkrai.

Twice, when it was time to apply the wound medicine and check the physical condition, Mai just shouted, and Darkrai slowly floated out from the shadow, making it easier for Mai to observe.

He didn't want to be too conspicuous, so before entering Luping Town, Luther told Darkrai to try not to show up in front of others.

So when they stayed at the hotel, Luther opened the room, and Darkrai remained motionless in the shadow.

Darkrai's obedient behavior made Heiluga less interested in tit-for-tat, but the two elves were reluctant to talk to each other.

The other elves in Luther were very interested in Darkrai. Chirulian liked to communicate with Darkrai non-stop. Looking at Darkrai's expression, it seemed that he was really responding seriously.

Marylou also talked about a lot of messy things. Darkrai, who closed his eyes tightly, responded intermittently. He didn't seem to understand why Luther wanted to raise this weird thing...

Zhuanzi Mian didn't care what kind of elf Darkrai was, she just asked.

"Is it from the Luther battle system?"

After receiving a negative reply, she lost interest in Darkrai.

Miao Miao has been wandering around taking care of the little fairy milk, and she hasn't had time to get to know Darkrai yet.

Geely Egg treats everyone equally. Anyway, everyone spends every day eating the eggs in her pocket. Is there any difference?

The legendary elf? No matter how rare it is, won’t it still eat my eggs?
