Chapter six hundred and seventy third studio experience

He Xin's biggest feeling after filming "The Ballad of Clouds and Waters" is that it's a lot of fun! Looking back at his previous works, probably except for "Incense", they were either two male leads, one female lead, or one male lead.

And compared to last year's collaboration with two great directors who preferred to show off their skills, he felt that Yin Li was a director who really knew how to tell stories.

Chen Qiu Shui, who he plays, has a legendary life. Chen Qiu Shui's life footprint starts from the treasure island with green mountains and green waters, passes through the war-torn North Korea, and ends on the pure and holy plateau. A wandering life is Chen Qiu Shui's destiny, so why not him?

What was your luck as an actor playing this character?

One of the filming locations, Zhangzhou Old Street, was shot of the street scene in Taipei in the 1940s. It was the small street where He Xin and Xu Ruoxuan could lean on the railing and gaze at the small foreign-style building on Gulangyu Island where Wang's family lived.

The mighty battle took one day.

In addition to being the main location for location shooting, it is also a very important location for special effects.

After Jiang Qinqin left, He Xin, who was completely disoriented, couldn't sit still in the hotel. The next morning, he drove to Zhangzhou Old Street to experience the atmosphere of the set in advance.

When he came to the scene and took a look, oh, what a guy! He saw two cranes about 200 meters away from the scene extending their long booms, with a wire rope connected in the middle.

At this moment, photographer Wang Xiaolie was using a walkie-talkie to direct the staff on the ground to pull the camera, which weighed more than 200 kilograms, onto the wire rope, and then manually pulled the camera to take pictures.

The scene was very chaotic. The old street was crowded with people, and local residents rushed to the street to watch the crew perform acrobatics. When He Xin arrived at the scene, it took a lot of effort to squeeze into the cordon drawn by the crew.

"Xiao He, here we come!"

Yin Li, who was holding the walkie-talkie, saw that He Xin just nodded and said hello, and shouted into the walkie-talkie: "Slow down, slow down, don't be in a hurry... Yes, hold on, hold on..."

As the camera slowly rose from the ground into the air, the hearts of all the crew members were getting higher and higher. Not only was Yin Li shouting, but the photographer Wang Xiaolie and even the photographer-turned-producer Jiang Tao were shouting.

He took action in person and shouted instructions on the intercom.

Although the camera, which weighs two hundred kilograms and is worth millions, cannot be dropped, the century-old houses below are even more delicate.

He Xin heard from Li Yang, the director's assistant next to him, that the buildings on the old street are all century-old cultural relics protection units. The crew signed a commitment letter before entering the scene for filming, and they could not destroy any brick or tile here.

It is said that the roof is covered with thin tiles that break when touched and cannot withstand the impact of cameras.

Finally, the camera was raised to the designated position, and then the camera under the control of a human pull rope began to work. What's even more terrible is that in a two-story building, there is a two-and-a-half-story house that stands out from the crowd. More than two hundred people are in sight.

The heavy camera is swinging in the air, and a single mistake will open the skylight of the century-old house.

Two groups of people on the two cranes plus the three-way walkie-talkie of the ground personnel shouted at the top of their lungs for a whole morning to complete this aerial sliding shot that may flash by in the film.

He Xin was very moved when he saw it at the scene. In the future, this kind of operation would only be done by a drone, but these days it requires a lot of effort, which is time-consuming and extremely costly.

In the afternoon, the crew had to sweep the streets. After He Xin had a box lunch on site, he said hello to Yin Li, and accompanied by director assistant Li Yang, went to the ancient village of Changjiao in Nanjing to see his "hometown" there.

As the car drove along the winding provincial road in the mountainous area, the most common things we saw along the way were the earthen houses and earth buildings dotted at the foot of the mountain, along the banks of the streams, and in the fields.

I heard from Li Yang that the earth buildings here were basically built by the Hakka people who migrated here during the Yuan Dynasty. Moreover, it is also a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. In the late Song and early Yuan Dynasties, Han people from the north and even the Yangtze River Basin migrated here to avoid war and built these buildings.

Then during the Ming Dynasty, many Hakkas began to migrate out to sea, and their footprints spread to Hong Kong, Bay, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaya, Indonesia, Singapore and even the entire Southeast Asia.

Especially in Wanwan, there are more than 200,000 people whose ancestral home is in Changjiao Village alone. With the reform and opening up, many Wanwans return to their hometowns to worship their ancestors every year. Over time, this place is also called "Xiaowan"

Bay".

It's about an hour and a half's drive from downtown Zhangzhou to Changjiao Village. The production's art team had already started working here when the production crew moved from Tibet to Hu Jian.

Sometimes filming is really a traveling process. Of course, the premise is that your schedule is not too tight and there is enough time between filming for you to wander around, change your mind, and relax.

This kind of working style that combines work and rest has always been the working style that He Xin prefers. For example, when he was filming "The Little Tailor", he played all over Zhangjiajie with Zhou Xun and Chen Kun, and he also filmed "Jade Guanyin"

》, I have plenty of time.

But as his popularity has risen in the past two years, this way of working has become more and more luxurious. Just like from last year until now, he has almost no time to rest, and the schedule of each drama is very tight.

There is simply no way for you to spare time for sightseeing.

Today was just a break from his busy schedule, and he took advantage of the opportunity to familiarize himself with the studio and take a look around. Tomorrow he will immediately plunge into the intense filming. He will complete nearly 30 scenes in ten days. This is no joke.

.

Changjiao is an ancient town rather than a village. It is very large, and the village still retains many enclosed earthen buildings from the Yuan and Ming Dynasties.

The ancient village is surrounded by mountains on all sides, with a length of about ten miles. The gurgling Changjiao River meanders through the village, leaving behind patches of green grass and bays of clear water, and then flows to the mountains in the distance.

When He Xin saw the thousand-year-old banyan tree by the stream that was said to be the largest in Hu Jian, he was really dumbfounded. It was definitely the largest tree he had ever seen in his life.

He estimated that at least a dozen adults would be able to hug the bottom trunk. The huge tree crown blocked the sky and the sun, and even covered half of the water surface of the Changjiao River, which was hundreds of meters wide.

Under the banyan tree, an ancient cobblestone road that has been trampled very smooth stretches into the distance. Next to the ancient road is a row of two-story old brick and wood structure houses, which is the old market of Changjiao.

The ground floor of the houses facing the street are shops, most of which retain the characteristics of wooden walls. The upper floors are mostly housing. The wooden eaves between the two floors are projected towards the middle of the street, which are used to protect the shops on the ground floor from rain and sun, just like the arcades in southern Fujian. The shops are connected to each other.

In one room, you can still see the prosperity of this 700-year-old mountain village.

Today, this century-old street still has grocery stores, barber shops, tin shops, pharmacies, etc., but it is a little empty and lonely.

But what interests He Xin the most is the huge waterwheel standing by the stream, and the Chen family's rice mill next to the waterwheel, which is half supported by wooden piles in the stream.

These are all newly built by the crew, especially the waterwheel with a diameter of eight meters and a height of more than ten meters. It is the masterpiece of the production's art team. This is not a pretense decoration, but a real production machine that can scoop water.

tool!

When He Xin arrived, Ma Dadi, the deputy leader of the art team, was asking a local master to help with debugging. It didn't take long to see the waterwheel squeaking and starting to operate. At the same time, there was a call from the man pounding rice in the house.

The huge mortar struck the stone mortar with a loud "Boom! Boom! Boom!"

"Is it so magical?" He Xin asked in surprise.

Even in his previous life, he had never seen such an ancient thing.

"Of course. If it's really rice harvesting season, pounding several kilograms of rice a day will be a piece of cake." Ma Dadi said proudly.

Chen Qiushui's home is right next to the waterwheel and rice mill built by the crew. It was renovated after opening up the old houses of two families. Ma Dadi said that in order to collect all kinds of period furnishings in the house

, he visited almost a dozen villages within a radius of tens of miles.

What worries him most now is that the director requires that the walls outside Chen Qiushui's room be covered with ivy. This species is definitely impossible to realize, and transplanting it is unrealistic. The only way Ma Dadi can think of is to cut them from other places and stick them one by one.

But in this case, the glued ivy branches can only last for one day, and they will soon bend due to lack of water. At that time, they will have to re-glue new branches all night long. This is a very demanding work for the art team.

Very big.

Ma Dadi also specially greeted him and asked him to show his best performance as a movie star during the filming and try to finish the filming as quickly as possible. It is one thing that the art team has a heavy workload, but what Ma Dadi is most worried about is what happens when the time comes

The use of ivy was too large, and the village had to find all the land after cutting it down.
